This machine is very effective for weight loss without the harsh impact. Years of high impact aerobics has taken a toll on my joints. This machine allows the work out without the joint pain. It is a keeper !!

Been using this now for a year and a half. Recommended by a personal trainer as a great value for this price range. Electronic monochrome LCD panel to show distance, calories burn, time, pulse rate and built-in exercise programs Need some assembly - around 20 minutes Price when bought - less than 400$ Pros: -Fantastic customer service. I had a chance to call customer service (Fitness Quest) when the LCD computer panel broke. There was no hassle during the call. They sent me another panel quick and at no cost to me. -Why spend 500$ or even 1000$ for ellipticals? This do the job for us as the expensive ones. -Easy to move. It has wheels and you do not need another person's help to move it around the house. -Not too bulky. Does not occupy a lot of footprint. -12 levels of resistance. Cons: -A bit squeaky -Does not feel as solid and heavy as the expensive brands.

I was looking for an eliptical that would fit neatly in the corner of my apartment and after looking at several options, I chose this one. I am a very heavy guy (280plb) and this eliptical has helped me get started in my work out plans. The only set back is that there isn't a wide range of motion compared to the elipticals you may find at a gym. However, I wanted something private, in my own place, that will get the job done. It is fairly quiet and I know it will last for years.

This trainer had worked great for a little under 2 years. While it was working it was a delight to use, and did the job well. However, the peg for the pedal that is attached to the wheel recently became loose, rendering the trainer virtually unusable. I called Fitness Quest, and since the 1 year warranty had expired, the only thing they offered me was a 20% discount on a new one. I am definitely looking elsewhere for my next trainer.

So, like others I did a lot of research before purchasing this machine. I knew it wouldn't be gym quality because that is an unrealistic expectation to have for the price. However, I have to say I'm really impressed with this little machine. I have a small one bedroom apartment and it's easy to roll into the living room, use, and roll back into my bedroom corner. It was squeaky but I bought some WD-40 and now it's not. It does seem to bounce a little bit but my downstairs neighbor hasn't complained yet (I'm thinking about putting something under it like a towel to see if that helps). I use it regularly and think that I made a good purchase. It appears a lot more stable and closer to "gym quality" then any other machine I saw at this price. The way I look at it is if it lasts a couple of years I will have gotten my money's worth because it's far cheaper than a two year gym membership! People have mentioned that it can be a bit uncomfortable. The foot platforms do seem a little further apart than what I'm used to but I've gotten used to it. The other thing is that I'm short (5'1") and if you are tall I don't know if it would be as comfortable to use. If you're short it's great!
