Not really a horror, but a good movie to watch with a half decent story line!!!

Not really a horror flick, more a modern morality fable with a prime Al Pacino scenery chewing performance and a typically wooden Keanu Reeves lead. While I recall being impressed with the film at the time, I suspect it wouldn't stand up to a revisiting. Similar ground about leveraging evil to productive ends was covered to greater effect in the film The Stunt Man with Peter O'Toole providing a great mid career performance.

It's an entertaining enough Pacino movie, even if Keanu Reeves does spoil it a bit by playing the lead, but I'm not sure I'd necessarily say it was that scary. The description here for three stars is perfect. It certainly is worth the price of a rental, but if you saw it in the theater, you overpaid.
