Once again, the American television-watching public demonstrates that NOTHING is too tasteless for its insatiable appetite and vicarious need for TV sex and sexual innuendo. Nicolette Sheridan, Eva Longoria, and Teri Hatcher can all f**k off...

funny show with great characters, I also like the darker side of it

Absolutely fabulous show; the best one out there. To enjoy it, one shouldn't take it seriously.
babarox 05/24/2005
From what i`ve seen of it, it`s like any ``SOAP OPERA``, but in primetime. Nothing more, nothing less...

My (secret) guilty pleasure.
LuvDH 05/15/2005
I LOVE watching the show. Sunday's are a must-see Desperate Housewives Nights (for me). The cast is incredibly talented and the writing is really good. There is alot of mystery and intrigue on Wisteria Lane. Watch it...you don't know what you're missing!
Masseyleerose 05/11/2005
This is a stupid, stupid show. It is so unrealistic. One viewing was enough. Never again.
LoveBlindJusti ce 05/09/2005
I've tried watching this show several times and I just can't get through it. I know others who enjoy it, but it does nothing for me.
TeenyF 05/07/2005
I didn't think I would like this one, but I was wrong. I can see why this is one of the top shows this season.
RainMan12 04/30/2005
Babe Central. The writing is surprisingly witty. Alfre Woodard is a good addition and will make the stories more interesting in the 2005-2006 season.
Kat25 04/29/2005
Finally a show that is comedic and dramatic at the same time. A great releif from all those reality shows we have been forced to watch. A great cast, with a never ending story line, makes this a must see!
Donovan 04/26/2005
I have never watched it and do not plan on doing so. From what I see on the previews, it's yet another show that deals with trashy topics.
kuppie21 04/25/2005
Best show ever, my mom keeped on telling me to watch it and when I finally did I was hooked, great cast and storylines, I love all the girls but my fav is Bree so wish I could be like her (in some ways). We are all dying to know the big secret and did I mention that Jesse Metcalfe is HOT.
nagyovafan 04/22/2005
This show is a very good show. I watched it one night simply because I had nothing else today and became instantly addicted. I feel weird, because I'm a guy, but I'm not going to stop watching a good TV show because I'm a guy.
LadyShark4534 04/03/2005
These aren't real housewives. They are botox-enhanced models posing as them. And what's with the lady talking from the dead? She's deceased! Gone! Finite!

By far the best show to cross the Atlantic since Seinfeld. It's got the balance just right between black humour, top totty (Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher), interesting and quirky characters, mystery and well written and threaded multiple storylines. Unlike most US drama shows there's nothing obvious or predictable in DH. It's excellent.

Love it! My boyfriend hates it. I think he doesn't like knowing that most women are unhappy with some aspect of their lives with their men. I'm sure he wonders which character I relate to most. I'll never tell. I wish the show was on every Sunday, consistently. I feel like a junkie looking for a fix when it's not on.
texasyankee 03/29/2005
I like it, it's different.
Sharose 03/13/2005
I am completely hooked on this show, it's great! Even though it's considered a drama, it also has some very funny moments, and I love that combination of drama & comedy. Every character is interesting in their own way; even the ones I hate, I love to hate...
ClassicTVFan47 02/25/2005
Pure, unadulterated sleaze without an ounce of creativity involved. The show opened with a suicide--that says everything you need to know right there.
Steamroller3 02/25/2005
Surprisingly the most compelling show since Dallas.
CastleBee 02/22/2005
Or as it should be described in the previews, Old skanks never die, they just move to the suburbs.
ccutestuff 02/02/2005
i love it! every sunday it just keeps getting better and better wish they had it on every day! i love it . funny because my husband is not into that kind of stuff and yet he loves it as well we sit down together and watch it as if it were a horror movie that we were both interested in lol

Irritating and unbelievable.

I love it! I didn't think I would like it, but I'm hooked. The writing is really amazing. I think it's one of the best shows currently on tv.

I thought I would hate this show so much, but the characters are so talented and so refreshed... if you will... compared to the other shows out there right now. The story line is absolutely brilliant. The best show that ABC has had in a long... long time.
BreeFan 01/04/2005
Best show ever. Bree Van de Kamp is the greatest. Every mom should try to be like her in real life.
brayden 01/01/2005
oh my god even my brother likes that show its so cool and every well almost every sunday theres a new one come on people you gotta agree with me
Keepitreal 12/13/2004
This is a great show, very entertaining! Most of the big things that happen on the show wouldn't happen so much in real life, especially in one neighborhood, but that's what t.v. is all about! Also, if you haven't watched most episodes, it may be a little hard to follow, but this is definitely a great show.

Kinda like Jell-O. Bouncy, colorful fun with no real nutrition.

11/21 Update: The show is getting better and better. ABC was hit with a media firestorm when Monday Night Football featured an intro featuring houseskank Nicollette Sheridan removing her towel and jumping into Terrell Owens' arms. While ABC is apologizing left and right over the indiscretion, they are smirking on the inside as the whole controversy will boost Houseskanks ratings sky-high. I love watching these wild skanks. They should rename the show, Sex and the Suburbs. [Original Post] I think ABC has got a winner here. It makes Melrose Place look like Touched By an Angel. Narrated by a dead woman (Wonder if they got that from The Lovely Bones), the desperate houswives sex it up with anything and everything. One crazy be-yotch (Teri Hatcher) was so mad that Nicollete Sheridan was fooling around with the guy she had an eye for, she torched her house. The best scene was the guy at the restaurant telling his beyond perfect wife that he wants a divorce. She excuses herself to get him a salad at the salad bar and nearly kills him by putting onions into his salad, which supposedly gives him a violent reaction. I loved it, because I too get dry heaves just from smelling raw onions. My wife thinks it's in my head; but I guess there is something physiological to it. I think ABC is deviantly twisted to first air the ultra-hugfest (and ultra-awful) Extreme Makeover Home Edition, then show this band of Evil Vixens. Desperate Houswives are actually wickeder than the Witches on The View. That's saying something.
opinion585 11/07/2004
They shouldn't have called it a soap opera, that sort of makes me not want to watch it, but it is still funny. lol that uptite redhead girl told her friends her husband cries after his orgy's, that was funny!
maersk 10/29/2004
waaaaaaaaaay overrated.
LoneUSFullHous eFan 10/05/2004
A good drama, but it made one huge, unignorable mistake. It started out with this lady recalling events that happened after her suicide. How on Earth are you supposed to recall things that happened after your suicide, YOU'RE DEAD? But in spite of that, it still has some good storylines.
