i hate verizon there is a new phone coming out called the omnia and the only way you can get it is if you pay a 30$ monthly fee and for unlimited texting it is 30$. all blackberries and pdas HAVE to have the 30$ monthly fee, my mom has a blackberry already and i want the omnia which is a pda, so we were thinking to get a plan that included internet and unlimited texting....to bad they only have plans like that for regular phones not blackberries or pdas! so that would mean i would have to pay 60$ extra a month just for my one phone and plus my moms internet, and my brothers texting and the intital fees for minutes and stuff THEIR MONEY SUCKERS!

I hate verizon...the customer service is horrible. I have had verizon now for a little over 3 years, before I had Sprint then Nextel, before they merged - they too were horrible. I do get reception most of the time. One problem, I never receive a bill, never signed up for online statements, but have been calling for over a year now to see when my bill will come...they never figured out why my bill doesn't come, they have even said that it's not set up for online statements, and still have not received one.. I ordered the Glyde for an upgrade - the phone was horrible I purchased it in the store and it took forever for them to find enough money for my refund (I paid in cash), ended up switching it out for the Juke after going back to the Chocolate. I went on a business trip and when I got there tried to charge my new phone only to find out it wouldn't charge!...so back to the chocolate again got back in town and they told me they couldn't do anything about it because I had swapped out the phone too many times - they didn't even want to deal with me because of a "past due" balance on my account which was a phone I had sent back to them a month prior and they still hadn't taken the balance off. I gave them the tracking number and I showed them that it had been received. Anyways after complaining for about an hour they gave me a new battery. I figured I could deal with that. Got home, charged it...and yeah you guessed it...it doesn't hold a charge so I called back complained and complained and they finally said I could send the Juke back and use that credit towards a new phone. I ordered the new phone and called to check on the status...gave them the order number and guess what?! They couldn't find an order! How was an order number generated without placing an order. I call back and they said whoever processed the order would call me back. Waited two hours didn't get a call so I called back. They then put a call in to the person and their supervisor and said that I would get a call shortly, well three hours later I still hadn't received a phone call so I called back and this was about 2:30 in the afternoon. I explained everything and told them to look in the account at the notes, at this point I am extremely tired of explaining the whole situation over and over so they see everything and after about 30 mintues on the phone with this rep she said oh well I can place the order but it won't be shipped out until Friday (apparently orders placed after 3 don't qualify for overnight shipping) I was pissed asking why this wasn't an option at the beginning of the phone call...or better yet, 5 hours before when I called the first time. I called back the next day after receiving no return phone call and have them order it again ( I asked to speak to a supervisor). Called back the next day to have my bill explained...it got up to 489.00 out of no where, the guy couldn't figure out why and said he would call me back...it has not been 6 days and have not heard back... I will be calling them again tomorrow. If it wasn't the only provider that had signal around here I wouldn't be with them anymore. Plus the phones are way overpriced and worthless.

I have had verizon for the past 6 years. about 3 days I made the switch to AT & T. the best thing i have ever done!! i still have my verizon cell phone activated and i compare their service, verizon always has 2 or 3 bars when AT & T has full service ! i love that i switched. Verizons customer service needs a lot of work ! do your self a favor and get rid of verizon!!

I have been with Verizon for about 12 years now. I still have my original account. I have been trough business, teenagers and all the other crap that keeps coming along. Up til now I have been dealing with it and in most cases Verizon helped out. Now I am dealing with this "Premium Text Messaging" syndrome. I am very disgusted with the way this is being handled. These charges are ridiculous. I get charged $9.99 for a text that I didn't even want. What kind of crap is that? I think that it should be required that any cellular service tell you that there is a charge for a message and give you the option to delete it. I am still sticking with Verizon because they are better than anybody else, but I am still pissed off about this new stuff.

I had Verizon Wireless several years ago. I had my cellphone plan under my ex's name, changed it to my own name (different last name). They said they made the change, they gave me the proper form that said "name changed" -- yet, the bill kept going to the wrong name -- therefore, kept getting returned to Verizon by my postal office.

I call Verizon asking what's up with the bill -- well, they had reported me to the credit bureau for non-payment, although they acknowledged I never got my bills. I paid them whatever I owed plus early termination fees. Yet, the total balance I was given and paid was 3 dollars less then the total balance.

Four years later, in my credit report, it still showed Verizon Wireless had me in a collections agency for a three dollar balance. I called Verizon, and they said they had a zero balance on my account, and I could gladly be serviced by them -- again.

So, I ended up asking for a letter from their behalf that stated that my balance was zero, in case my credit gets run for other purposes. I am giving them one star, because I have to give them something in order to post this --

Verizon Wireless provides poor service for the money. I have had business calls dropped in places where you'd never expect a call to be dropped. I was with Verizon for four years, and with each year, I noticed that the cell service got progressively worse. Not long after my contract ran out I decided it was time to move to another service. That should have been easy, but it took me three days, three calls to customer service, and conversations with five different customer service reps, several different stories as to why I could'nt close my account before they finally closed it.

I'm still not satified, because they would not credit me for the first two days when it should have been closed. A supervisor named Donna, located in Utah, said she'd call back but never did.

In summary, Verizon Wireless seems to have a policy of ripping off the customer and then giving them the run around when they call to complain or cancel their service.

I am now with Virgin Mobile and am very happy, and so is my wallet.

I just switched from Sprint (whom I have had for many years) to Verizon. I wanted a changed and believed their ads. NOT WORTH IT!!!!
My calls are garbles regardless of where I call from or where the other person is calling from. The calls are garbled regardless of how many bars I have up. Their service stinks. I am seriously considering paying the early termination charge and going back to Sprint. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH VERIZON!!! I wish I never had.

I hope all users of this service understand clearly that it is a reality of business today that, in response to the effectiveness of these "consumer voice" sites, large and small companies alike have staff whose very job it is to monitor these boards and neutralize the comments and ratings of their businesses.  There are now even public relations firms that specialize in training these "monitors."  Used very commonly in the airline industry, they are now becoming quite common among any large company who is susceptible to what they perceive to be "retaliatory" postings by disgruntled consumers.  The companies defend this behavior as free speech very much like the consumer does when making the post.

These "monitor" posts are easily recognizable, often taking a very non-aggressive, almost polyanna-ish tone.  They rarely are so defensive as to draw fire from knowing consumers.  They simply log on, rebut some comment, and leave a high rating.

Friends, always remember that the internet is hostile to profits (you can easily find lower prices, putting a downward price pressure on goods and services) but it is beneficial to capitalism.  Sharing information about poor performance only HELPS these corporations flesh out moldy business practices and greed-based business model components.  Don't be fooled by the monitors.  In the case of most consumer rating websites, it is better policy to take positive comments with a grain of salt.

All the best to you.

i just want to say that a lot of times it's not that verizon doesnt send text messages to other people, they go through on the verizon end but the other carries networks need to work on their equipment as far as receiving texts from other networks. ive researched this and thats always been the situation.

Verizon has pretty good service and they have a great signal. I get signal places none of my friends do. But if you plan on texting someone outside of verizon, you can forget about it. The texts will delay at least once a day. sometimes 5 minutes apart. sometimes an hour. sometimes not at all. Verizon definately caters to verizon to verizon but if im paying for unlimited texts, it shouldn't be this bad. No other provider has this issue. I would not recommend verizon for people who text.

I've been with them for nearly four years now and the customer service people are great.  They're patient with my stupid questions and they explain everything clearly.  I didn't have to "re-up" with Verizon but I did so solely because of their solid customer service and billing folks.

Absolute rip off!!!!!! Sign up for 2 years and my phone goes haywire within 1 year. Verizon tells me I'm not eligible for a new phone until 18 months. Nothing they can do except sell me a new phone at full price. So I delt with this phone till I was eligible and called again. They told me I would have to sign up for another 2 years just to get a discount on a new phone. My first 2 years were not even up yet. I could end up with another phone that only lasts 1 year and then what. Customer service is not helpful at all. Very difficult to get through just to here someone say sorry, nothing I can do about that. I also tried to lower my monthly bill but with 2 phones, I already had the lowest plan for $69.99 per month and with sure charges plus tax it's $81.00. I feel that is a lot of money for phones we use very little. But I did sign the 2000 word contract. Now my contract is up and I switch providers. Since I placed my disconnect request just after the billing cycle, I have to pay another full month bill. Never again will I ever use or recommend verizon wireless again.

I agree with cehudson70 review, verizon motto it's not true. I've been with verizon 9 year, never complain, I like use verizon. July I just renew my contract with verizon,I 've got Samssung Glide.first week looks it's ok, after that I got problem with that phone.(Touch screen problem) I'm back to verizon store at Northpoint parkway, alpharetta, GA. They ask me to download new samsung software, and I use my phone, first day after that; ok. & then back to same problem, & I'm back again to verizon store, & they give me new samsung glide, I'm happy with that, but after a month, bac to same problem. I'm back again to that store, this time I ask them if I can get another type of phone (same price phone); after they got my phone & ask me couple questios; they let me wait 15 minute (ignore me, nobody check my phone). then they tell me, they can't give me another phone. they only can give me same phone until I'm eligible to get another phone. so I must use that phone and live with that problem. I hope with this review, nobody got problem like me.

Verizon's customer serive does not exist! They claim they will solve your problem..."Your problem becomes our problem and we will fix it..." is what the motto says, but yet when trying to resolve a primary phone number contract issue, which is nothing more than common sense, all I got was "Sorry sir, there is nothing we can do to help you". It appears the only time Verizon seems to be helpful is when you are willing to add additional services or offer to pay more for your service. I was a Sprint customer from 1993 - 2006 and had nothing but great dealings with that company, every problem I ran into was resolved in a timely manner and associates at Sprint were true to their word and beyond. I even tried to switch to Verizon back in 2003, and ran into nothing but issues and I should have learned my lesson, but switched to Verizon in 2006 anyway hoping for a better deal...WOW was I wrong! The service is great until you have to deal with customer service, this is the second time now for me. I have been lied to, sold empty promises, and have been treated like a second class consumer. I would think twice before I signed up with this company.

Boo!! I'd be better off with two cans and a string. Customer service blamed me because their phones are made out of legos. I mean, maybe it's my fault. How can I expect legos to stay together for two whole years?? You're right Verizon. It's my fault. It's my fault that you make us sign a two year contract for legos that don't last two years.

This company is horrible! I just found out that when verizon wireless doesn't have tower coverage when using your phone they have contracts with other company's to provide coverage for you even in the Los Angeles area where I'm at. However, you won't see those mins used on your statement until months later. By this time who can even remember if they were legitmate calls or not? Also, verizon wireless considers "immediate" to be 5-10 business day's when it comes to refunding their customers.

5 years ago I had a friend who worked for Verizon. She said, "honestly, Verizon is the best. And you should get the phone I have." She wasn't trying to sell me on it. She wasn;t getting a commission off me. She was just being honest. I switched from AT&T. I had that Verizon phone and service for 5 years. I dropped it so many times, and it never broke. Other than driving one road (that was near a high security military zone), I rarely got dropped calls. A few months ago I switched back to AT&T basically out of boredom. I wanted a cooler phone, rollover minutes and free calling to my sister and mother, who had AT&T. I couldn't have made a worse decision. I know this site is for feedback on Verizon, so I won't vent about how ridiculous AT&T is. Clearly, they are all terrible. So you might as well go with the one that gives you the best service coverage and then be very vigilant about your minutes, data usage and contract.

By far the worst coverage out of all 3 phone companies I have had in the past. Not only do they have terrible phone coverage, their text messages never go through and their service is terrible. I now have AT&T/Cingular and LOVE them! I disliked Verizon from the get go, but Cingular has been nothing but amazing to me in the past 5 months. I highly recommend you rethink about doing business with Verizon.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I like my range better than my old nextel phone, but I had a problem with my Verizon phone which was out of warranty. I had to pay 50 bucks to get a new phone - couldn't update the type of phone of course. Of the dozen or more people in front of me when I was there, most were unhappy with the answers they received. I finally got a phone, but it didn't work,(no one could hear me, but I didn't realize til the next day) and I had to go back. People on the phone were fine and said go pick up a new phone and they waived my 50 bucks, because of my wait. Waited 15 minutes on the phone to see if they had what I needed in stock. Finally I hung up. I went and the store was packed. (10 miles to get to the store) I finally gave up and left after a half hour and the que hadn't changed. Not the people's fault that worked there-they were working hard. Too many customers and not enough help. I finally left and will have to return later.

I do not think I will renew this service once my warranty expires. Unfortunately, no one was at the sprint store!

take it from me. i am an employee. beware of vzw. your bill will be high every month. the coverage is good but what is good service when you have a crap phone? us customer service reps are trained to lie to the customers. not only only are they horrible on the consumer side but the treatment employees get is unreal. i have had my paycheck shorted by over $200 twice in less than a year that i have worked at vzw. they treat us like children and have litte appreciation for the so called "frontline" customer service reps. working here has been one of the hugest mistakes i have ever made. all i can say is beware

Verizon Wireless is hands down the best phone service. Mind you, I have tried T-mobile and they sucked. I was glad to cancel with them. So I thought I'd try sprint and that was another mistake too because half the time the service with them was horrible. I was never getting signal and when I did it was only for a little bit. So then I thought hey i'll try Cingular which is now ATT and that was a mistake too because the service was always bad. The 3g network always cut out on me. So it was between Metro PCS and Verizon.

We chose Verizon and have never looked back since. Our price is not bad at all. If you compare Verizon to all the other phone giants out there they are pretty reasonable with their plans. Probably the best phone selection that I know of. I never really get the free phones since they are not always the best quality. Everyone who says their bill is too high well, look at your mins and then your calls and then look if you have any extra services that you forgot you subscribed too?? you will see that it's not Verizon's fault. Anytime that we have had a problem with them, we just call and they take care of it.

As far as dropped calls, I get the once in a great while but I rarely get them. When I do drop, its the other person who doesnt have Verizon. Other then that, the reception is clear and I have no problems. I am very happy with Verizon.

I've had Verizon for years. The service is great. My only qualms are that in some houses and especially dorm buildings service is at a minimum. The service is always better when the phone is brand new, but as it ages I have noticed the service bars go down. That and Verizon does not support world call, so in other countries my phone is useless and I cannot text or call anyone from another country. Otherwise I find the range of service great, their customer service has always been fantastic and the choice of phones also diverse and satisfactory.

I had a great experience with customer service at Verizon Wireless. This lady was incredibly nice and went out of her way to help me. She not only gave me 50 extra minutes because I went a little over my minutes, but she also deducted the $10.00 additional cost associated with my going over my minutes! I was quite taken back by her courtesy. She also educated me on the best ways to keep my minutes down and my cost low instead of trying to pursued me into buying more minutes. Woohoo! I just wanted to report this because all we usually hear are complaints so I thought I would change the pace. If you smile, they will smile back:-)

Living in South Florida (West Palm area) I was once a *very happy* Metro PCS user. Unlimited texting, local AND long distance calls. I switched to Verizon a few months back to share a plan with my mother. Verizon's store is chock full of flashy, OVERPRICED, not-so-user-friendly phones. And the one's that aren't flashy and overpriced look grungy and ready to break apart on the first drop off the kitchen counter! Their plans are outrageously priced in my opinion, having paid 60 dollars a month for Metro PCS (even though I couldn't really travel with their service, but I never leave the county anyway!), and am now paying about 150 a month for 700 anytime minutes, free N/W, unlimited texting, and some other fancy crap my mom has on her phone that she never uses. Already, the bill has been somehow inflating with no answers as to why! As far as overall service, the customer store reps were and always have been very kind and oriented to solving any problems. (Have yet to have the misfortune of calling a customer service rep, however.) Anyway, in my HOUSE, I receive little to no exception. Seeing as how I spend a great bit of my time *living in this house* I find it amazingly aggravating when my phone takes thirty seconds to send a call through, or thirty seconds to tell me that the call failed. Sending text messages is also a nightmare. Each text message takes about one whole minute to send, or to tell you sending has failed. Don't even get me started with PIX/VID messaging, coming in close at about five minutes to send, just to tell me 50% of the time that sending has failed! Then the times that I can get text messages to send, I get a text message BACK from Verizon saying there was a network error and that my message has gone undelivered. And this is not just me! One perk of their service is that they have free minutes when you call any other Verizon customer. I *love* this because my boyfriend is also a VZW customer and most of the time spent on my phone is speaking to him. At his mother's house up in northern FL, he experiences the same problems with not being able to call out from the house/sending/receiving texts, etc. And let me not forget how many times I've been sitting right next to my phone and received a voicemail! I do not even hear my phone ring! Ahhhh! I DO NOT recommend VZW to ANYONE. Do not pay for this OVERPRICED, HORRID service. Period.

I have been a Verizon customer for at least 7 years. Initially starting the nationwide account in NJ, I had no issues what so ever with phone usage, and I traveled accross the US numerous times with it. 3 years ago I moved to Texas and since then have not been able to get good reception in my house. Barely a bar shows, calls break up and/or dropped. I've complained numerous times since I've been here. At first they tried to tell me it's because my phone is out of NJ. So I made the point of telling them I have nationwide service so that shouldn't be an issue. Then they tell me it's the phone. Since then they have replaced the phone 4 times with the same model and 1 time with the upgraded model. None of which have helped. Not to mention each time they replaced the phone, I lost all pics and ringtones and they would charge me all over again for re-downloading the same exact ringtones because they can only reimburse from 3 months prior. Now they are advertising how they have "No Dead Zones". So I put in another complaint. This time I'm told that, "regardless of what the commercial states, Verizon does not guarantee service inside a home and/or structure". Needless to say, I am not renewing my contract and have obtained an AT&T phone that works just fine inside and outside the house.

I have had cell service with Verizon for 6 months now and haven't had any problems. In that time I have only had one dropped call and good service.

However, when I purchased my phone ( the Juke) I purchased it at a building with Verizon on the front but soon after found out that it was a 'dealer' not Verizon that sold me the phone so when I wanted to return it, I had to go to that particular store....there was nothing they could do! So make sure you purchase from a store/dealer with great customer service, prices, etc. because they are all different. I went to return the Juke because the guy told me that I takes pictures. I asked if you could download directly to your PC and he said YES. After taking pics,  using the provided cable, and nothing happening....I went to the Verizon site to find out what i'm doing wrong. I shortly found out that you have to send the data/picture to an online account and then order prints...OR.....e-mail them to yourself.....both of which they charge you for....based on data size! So, you have to purchase a texting account or pay for each data transfer....crazy! The service I recieved when I called to find out about this was great....very friendly and helpful.

For all of the people saying MY BILL WAS TO HIGH I DIDNT MAKE THOSE CALLS. suck it up and pay your bill because you know you really didnt check your minutes or read what you should have...Verizon Service has been great to me the price is worth it after my experiance with ATT and Tmobile.. if I could give Verizon Wirless another Star. I hate Verizon Wireless. After 9 years as a customer. I asked customer service to upgrade my phone to the Blackberry Curve. They said I had to pay full price of $409.00 So I switched to T-Mobile because Costco cell phone kiosk had the blackberry curve with rebates & discounts. So I paid 75.00 for the phone & $125.00 early termination fee to Verizon Wireless. So I saved $209.00 by leaving Verizon Wireless for T-Mobile. Then Verizon Wireless has the nerve to mail me an offer for the same phone for $59.00 if I Pay $175.00 early termination fee to T-Mobile and come back to Verizon. Some how, this is their dysfunctional Idea of rewarding their oldest customers. I will visit every review site and warn consumers to stay away from Verizon Wireless.

I was once happy w/ verizon wireless. I've been a customer since i dropped cingular after the att merger (the first one). I was very happy during my first year that I told everyone they need to switch. It was very reliable - i NEVER dropped calls or had service issues. That has changed gradually over the last few years and has gotten very bad the last 3-6 months. I'm not at all happy w/ their customer service either - they always refer you to call in on a landline phone. if you don't do this or have the capability to do this (which i don't - i dropped my local phone service years ago), you are pretty much screwed.

I want to give credit to Verizon for their customer service. Every time I have called with a question they have been very kind and helpful.

However, I have been very disappointed with Verizon in many other ways. First of all, it is often times difficult to find decent reception service. I have been in buildings and areas with no service when people around me on other plans have perfectly clear reception. I have used verizon for many years now, and I was at first impressed with the small percentage of dropped calls, but am becoming more and more dissapointed as this percentage continues to rise.
Secondly, with texting, it will often times take my phone twenty minutes to an hour to send or receive a simple text.
Thirdly, I find many situations where someone has called me and my phone does not register the call at all (no ring, no missed call, nothing). There have even been situations where I have been sitting next to the person calling me, both of our phones show perfectly clear reception, yet my phone does not register the call. I have a family plan of 5 phones, and all 5 users have experience the same sort of issues.

I do not recommend verizon wireless.

Verizon is a piece of crap. I get lost calls like 4 times a day and half the time the other person can't hear a dang word im saying. I have a family share plan with 2 lines. Its supposed to be 69.99 a month + 20 for unlimited texting (10 on one line and 10 on the other). And my bill comes in to about 122 dollars a month. Its ridiculous. I thought i would be paying about 100 bucks. I'm upgrading my phone to a voyager to see if i get better service if not, im going to get really angry with verizon. !! Their customer service is great but the network is NOT reliable at all!!!!!

I have service with Verizon Wireless. I bought a phone in December 2007. May 2008 the phone quit working. I took it to a Verizon service center, they said that the battery terminals are corroded so it would not be covered by a factory warranty. WELL, if the battery caused the corrosion, it should be covered by warranty, NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS! Don't make the mistake by going with Verizon Worthless.

I'd like to make a few comments about VZW. They truly are the most reliable network, and I can say that because I have been with 5 different networks. I don't know why people say they are so expensive...they have the same rates as at&t (sucks) and their customer service is extremely nice!!! honestly, you have to remember that your paying for the network, so if your worried about price, then try sprint, who is oh so cheap, but you won't be able to use the phone becaus you'll have no service 3/4 of the time. at&t customer service is extremely rude and I don't know how they can keep customers. plus, vzw works with you when you go over your minutes, etc...at&t, they dont even give a crap.

I switched to At&t before my verizon plan ran out because.my phone bills were outrageous! I had a 450 min plan and for three months or so my bill was very high because they said i went over my minutes. Now one thing about me: I am VERY RARELY on the phone, so I know these charges couldnt be valid. I called countless times about this and they pretty much told me to bend over and take it. They refused to do anything about it, so I raised my minutes to a 900 min plan, which was pretty expensive, expecially when i knew i didnt need it. The last month i was with them, my bill showed i went over 900 minutes, and that was the last straw. The only thing i miss from verizon is their phone selection. My phone had everything i needed and more, and i never had a problem with it. Unfortunately, that's the problem im having with at&t now - shitty phones. ive gone through so many junk phones. oh well..thats the price you pay i guess. theyre all out to screw you in my opinion.

I just switched to Verizon from Cingular (big mistake). I have had more dropped calls in the one month since I switched than in all four years I was with Cingular. The coverage map shows complete coverage in my area, but the voice quality is horrible, and most of the time, the people I am talking to over the phone complain that they can't understand me because the first half of my sentences are cut off. If it is not a problem with the network, then they are simply selling crappy phones. I had to upgrade the programming on my first model, thinking the phone itself was the cause of the poor quality, but then the phone stopped working all together. I am not on my second phone (I went with a motorola.. another mistake) and the quality has not improved one bit. I am NOT looking forward to being stuck in this service for the next two years :(

I got my recent bill from verizon today $604. Three months ago I brought 2 of my 3 phones to verizon to find out why they were not working (one being the chocolate, which sucks tremendously). They claim that they fix the chocolate and replace the other with a new phone. I went away on an educational trip for 3 months, and never was able to use my new phone once because it died right away and would not take a single charge. The chocolate, my daughter got a week out of it and it stopped working again, giving a computer error. I had no service on both those phones and it showed in the system that those phones were not used for that period of time. I called Verizon today and they would not budge on the bill, although seeing the phones were not used and they were unusable. I went to the store where I bought them and took them for repair, and they would do nothing for me but try to sell me a new contract. They claim 100% customer satisfaction, BULL SH-T!! They don't care about customers because they're too big and can afford to loose a few here and there. They lie on the phone and don't give you their correct name so you can"t file a complaint against them. Consumers, DON"T USE VERIZON... YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I'm on my 4th phone in the same model line, and each one has deleted my address book entirely.
The coustomer serive sucks untill you get to a general manager, who was the first person to tell me about they're address backup system, WHICH I FOUND OUT TODAY DOESNT WORK!
I have extream anxiety, and had an attack at the local Target, went to call for a ride/help, and no phone numbers. I went to back up, no luck either.
I can't belive how much hey don't care that this model is so unreliable! I they wont even let me trade it in for a cheaper model in exchange, after i've returned 4 to the warehouse!!! I'd have to buy a new one at FULL PRICE! Thats like 145$ for a cheap one!
I just want a phone that works, or people who are willing to help fix it!
My family and friends who use this are so fed up with them that we're all leaveing after our contracts are up.
DONT TRUST THEM!

They will charge for mystery minutes. Their network was good. I don't have any complaints but I used to pay over 100$ on an average for the duration of 2 years I was with them and I had a plan worth $60. Why? If I could figure that out, I would not writing this review. Also, I asked them to disconnect my service on my billing cycle date so avoid any pro rating for cancelling in the middle of the billing cycle, but sure enough, despite calling them 3 to 4 times (being particular), they cancelled my service in the middle of the month and charged me an addition $100. Mind you, my service WAS DICONNECTED on the billing cycle date BUT they said it was ACTUALLY disconnected 15 days after. How? I don't know. So i paid for 15 days that I had no service. O yeah, they had records of minutes used too BTW.

I switched to Verizon from Cincinnati Bell (a complete nightmare) and the CSRs are angels compared to the treatment I used to get. Granted they are not the best but a LOT better than Bell's. (one guy actually hung up on me) Anyway, I don't think their rates are any higher than Cingular, which is the only big competitor where I live. (Sprint is a joke here.) Also Verizon's texting rates are a lot cheaper than Cingular. I have never been incorrectly charged (unlike Bell). I like how you can program your phone to update your contact list every night so it's always online and you can redeem your numbers should something happen to your phone. Their 611 number is a nice convenience as well. In addition, while I don't have reception everywhere in the US, I have had it in many more places than my friends who have Cingular and Bell. And I like the new-every-two plan. It's nice to get a free or seriously discounted phone every two years since they stop working by then anyway. Of course there are always things to improve on but I am quite happy with the service overall.

I recently purchased a Motorola Q in July of 2007. Since then I have had to have the phone replaced 5 times. Customer service is usually rude and their rules and guidelines for dealing with your problem changes from person to person. Overall I am extremely unhappy with the Motorola Q and with Verizon for selling me a product that they are unwilling to stand behind.

I will have to say, Verizon is the best with no drop calls and has service everywhere but, they are very expensive! We have a family plan with 4 lines. Our bill should be $160 a month but is $600. We asked them why and they could not give us a reason. They said we havn't gone over our minutes and we have unlimited texting. Their costumer service is not the best. They have great serive but terrible billing. I recommend you get another carrier unless you want to plan on spening 3 times your bill.
