It looks great and everything with the fancy faceplates and antennas, but I don't get good service with the fleshtone antenna.

Good reception, clear reception, easy to read display. Cellular One has a great California plan.

Great phone. Easy to handle. Comfortable to talk on for prolonged periods of time.

Very easy to use. Has games, calculator and lots of cool features. Good size- not too small where you're afraid of losing it or too big. The snake game is awesome!
rhong 10/04/2000
The best phone I have ever had. Got it 2 1/2 years ago and it is still cutting edge. The features are endless and useful. The manual is too big but that's okay. I recommend this phone to anyone.

Great phone. Light, cheap (if you have PacBell) and you can customize your rings.

It isn't really fair to rate the entire 6100 series all together. I see that not only Sprint PCS, but also Verizon wireless has dropped the 6100 from its line. The problem is this: Nokia uses their own CDMA chip because they are too snobbish (or cheap) to license the Qualcomm chip. Therefore, the 6185 (Sprint PCS) which I have, absolutely sucks. As for the TDMA (AT&T phone), that is good from what I hear...

The Nokia 6100 series provides me with great connection and it is easy to use. Plus, the rates they offer are great.

An excellent phone. The clarity is good and the battery life is about 5-6 days. The interface is easy to use. I would highly recommend this phone.

These phones get only a good rating because of missing features like voice dialing and vibracall. But the handling of these phones by means of menu navigation has been very well solved. Every item in the menu is in the right category and the categories have small icons. Also, the Nokia does not use the IrDA standard for the infra-red port.

This phone is excellent in size and quality. It is easy to use, easy to carry, and keeps a charge for a long period of time. I can go for two or three days without charging it. Plus, it won't die in the middle of a conversation.

Nokia makes the best size and attractive phone. It's lightweight and has all the features you can ever need. It's my phone, pager, voice mail, and game station. The battery life is great! I have dropped it on the ground many times and it still works great. Very inexpensive also.

I've owned one in the past, and although they are small, it's signal quality is poor. It's hard to have a conversation in buildings and long distance charges are expensive.
rtti7885du 06/26/2000
It is very easy to use. Reception is clear and range is good also.
vhwo7873du 06/26/2000
Small, compact, amd easy to use. It's lightweight which is the best aspect. I also like how you can change the phone cover. Very brilliant idea, just like changing pager colors.

I liked how this phone is a little smaller than the Nokia 5100 series, and I really liked the calender function. The additional games they put on this phone was unnecessary, but no negative points there. I liked their additions of new sounds and more availability of sound choices.
kasl7865du 06/26/2000
This phone has been the best out of the four that I've owned. It's easy to store names and recall them. The function that allows you to easily set the volume of the ring is easily convenient. The games programmed on the phone are a great time killer.
bdfo7853du 06/26/2000
This is a decent phone. It's lightweight and has fairly good reception. It is not bulky either. Its design is a bit plain though, compared to the Motorola Star Tac which is much more stylish. The main concern with the Nokia 6100 is that studies reveal that it is one of the most cancer causing phones due to the position of the antenna.

This is a very good mobile phone. I own one and it's very fun and functional. It offers features such as as voicemail, calculator, alarm clock, etc. All basic needs for communication are enveloped in this phone. It is also very easy to personalize the phone because many accessories are offered with it.

This is a fun first time phone. It stores lots of numbers, has games, and can help you keep your life straight. The phone is relatively light weight and you can add personal touches like changing the face color.

I have a phone in this series, and I love it. It comes with many free features such as voice-mail, caller I.D., and it has a very easy to use menu.
twww7547du 06/19/2000
I have a 6190, and the phone is pretty good. I was able to change face plates and choose my own ringer. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because the phone is heavy and slightly big for comfort.
eng@7501du 06/18/2000
Common, stylish, light, and inexpensive. Includes many packages when signing up. It needs longer talk time with the battery life.
Shroomwoman 06/16/2000
A good, clear-sounding phone (model #6150). It works best with the headset and microphone. The microphone filters out background noise quite effectively. Lots of features as well, such as phone number archiving, multiple ring options, and even games to play! I wish the battery would last longer.
QUAR7339om 06/11/2000
This is a small phone to carry. A lot of features like games, calender, and 1600 MHz. Offers clear conversation, a good price, but sometimes the screen is fuzzy.
Mont7305om 06/10/2000
Very good reception. A lot of technical help available. The batteries last a long time, and are very easy to use. You can also change covers and put on your own color or design.

This phone has many features such as call-waiting and an endless phonebook. The only thing I don't like is the short battery life.
jkol7245et 06/08/2000
The design of the phone is probably best of all phones. Also, the phone has programs that you can run, such as games and stuff. It has a lot of other useful things like silent ring, a no hassel antenna, and easy rechargeable methods. It comes with inter-changeable faces so that I can change the color of the front part of the phone for a better style. The mic and ear piece is a little easier to use than others. The only bad thing is the vibrating battery you have to pay for.

Owning one of these myself, I like the practicality of these phones. There is a variety of accessories, and you can even change the face plate on them. These phones are very reliable and the battery life is terrific, ranging up to 11 days with Pacific Bell service. They're also small and compact, and comfortable to hold. I know my phone will last me for a while.
Peek7176om 06/06/2000
I like this phone. It is small and compact, with an easy to use menu that is very helpful. It is easy to use without having to read the instructional book.

Convenient, durable, and easy to use. Long lasting, and the hands free car adapter is excellent.
lyne7028om 05/31/2000
The phone is very small and light to carry. The phone is very easy to operate, and the functions are pretty self-explanatory. The cost of the phone is very affordable.

The Nokia 6185 (CDMA dual-band) is terrible. Why? Numerous dropped calls (not dropped phone), bad service (in and around a buildings with cell site), intermittant message notification, etc. Sprint has removed it from their portfolio. Cudos to Sprint for providing a good customer experience with phone issues. Just ordered a Motorola StarTac dual-band in hopes that the service will improve.
Naughty Pixie 11/28/1999
Well, it's not the phones fault you dropped it. You dum-dum. You're supposed to be careful with all sensitive electrical gadgets such as this. They're not meant to be dropped. Anyway, great phone! I know because I sell them!
artbuf 10/26/1999
I have a Nokia 6160. Great phone, good battery life, but it has one annoying problem. If you drop the phone (who doesn't?) and it receives a sufficient shock, you have to remove the battery in order to turn it back on!!!!
