The Mecca of baseball parks.
Aneudy25 02/25/2003
This park has a an enormous fan base, but I have to disagree. The Boston Red Sox needs a new stadium and fast. The park is much too old and too little. It needs more seating capacity especially for a baseball town like Boston! Hey who knows, if you built it, it will come! (As in the championship).....
HDawg1248 12/24/2002
If you're looking for a park that has comfortable seating and the latest ammenities, this is not the place for you. However, if you want to go see a game in a historic park with energetic fans and an unbelievable atmosphere, come on down to Kenmore Sqaure for a game.

BLAAAAA!!Go Pac Bell!!!!!
TEBON 12/16/2002
No matter what any Yankees fan says. .. Fenway is the greatest old park in all of baseball. Hard to compare it with Yankee Stadium, since Fenway doesn't smell like urine, have transvestites on the streets around it, or have the giambi that shoots up every morning.
Par75 11/28/2002
A definite masterpiece and a must visit for anyone who has yet to see Fenway. I made my first visit in I July, and as an avid baseball fan, was awed by the park. However, don't expect the conveniences of a modern park! The concourses are tight, the seats are small and uncomfortable, and the lines for concessions and restrooms are long.
BigBadTA 11/24/2002
Fenway is the epitomy of what baseball should be. For those of you who have never been here, you walk in and you can just feel the history of the place. Sure it isn't the most high tech, commercialized ballpark in the league, but it makes up for that with it's historical relevance, you can feel you are in a part of american history in Fenway Park.
bigmanhoff 11/18/2002
best baseball atmosphere. period.
REDMAN17 04/22/2002
I LIKE THE GREEN MONTERS
ellajedlicka21 01/05/2002
Boston sucks. The most obnoxious team in the majors.
macc4469om 08/22/2001
It's all about the big green monster. The old school nature of this ballpark and fenway franks can't help but put you back into the good old days of baseball. This is one of the last few historical fields out there.
cxt7 05/07/2001
falling apart
MoonSammy 04/13/2001
Anyone that doesn't like it must be a....I mean they must bat for the other team (cough...cough..cough..yanks...cough). Great tradition and truly a great park!!!
callmetootie 04/10/2001
I wish that the Boston Red Sox were a good team, because Fenway Park is extrenmly beautiful with all of the great lights, and billboards. It's in a great area.
Oppy187 04/04/2001
Certainly deserves a 5. Second only to Wrigley. The park just amazes you with its incredible history.I've taken a tour walked on the field its a purists dream, but this place needs to go. The structure of the building is falling apart, but unfortunately plans for a new ballpark will try and recreate Fenway and make it a "modern park" which is a disgrace to all of Boston and the Stadium iftself. But something has to be done and soon.
dacritic 03/15/2001
Dirty, smelly, old, team sucks, poles block the view, can't use the 4 bathrooms for 30,000 plus ppl, they should destroy the stadium, keep the Green Monster because of its fame and build a new park around the wall and keeping it intact.
mama 03/12/2001
The only way they beat the Yankees
JRobelen 03/11/2001
Claustrophobic. Generally overrated. But the right size for today's fans.
lpoulain 02/03/2001
Wonderful old park. The food needs help! Save this national treasure.

SAVE FENWAY PARK 01/26/2001
SAVE FENWAY PARK! It's monumentaly historic, and recognizably national, equaly as much as the city its in! ....savefenwaypark.com......"If you unbuild it, they will go.".....I must say that user: kkri796om is anti-American, if not completely ignorant.
marcus04 12/19/2000
To kkri796om - no offense pal, but that would be TWO words. (Actually, take offense if you please)

I went to a Red Sox post-season game against the A's in 1988. It was a nasty Boston October afternoon with periods of rain and drizzle leading up to game time. Fortunately, the rain stopped by the time the game started, at least for just about everyone at Fenway. We were sitting down the right field line, underneath the overhang of the second deck. For the entire game, there was a constant drip of rusty water onto my right shoulder. Where else can you get something like that?

I go to baseball games to get drunk and eat sausages and possibly become obnoxious. Sure there are some guys out there running around on the field but that's only a minor distraction. Fenway is a great place to do these aforementioned things. Why? because first of all there are tons of sausage stands out front so here's what you do you start out at one of the bars surrounding the stadium get good and lubed and head out onto the street. From there you pick up a sausage which you wolf down between the stand and the gate. Once inside you pick up two more beers (two beer per person limit at a time) head up to your seats on the green monster and wash down that sausage, enjoying the warmth of a nice Boston afternoon sun, and the hometown crowd. The outfielders are close enough to scream at and you're feeling buzzed enough to give a shout. If you're lucky you'll catch a good fist fight somewhere not too close to where you're sitting but not so far that you can't experience the drama of it. Now that's baseball!
phan7463et 06/25/2000
It was a great experience to visit Fenway Park. It felt like I went back in time, when baseball wasn't about money.
bizdude 06/02/2000
Kid of a disappointment, doesn't live up to the hype the way Wrigley does. Not very clean, smells like pee.

Sitting behind homeplate at Fenway is like heaven on earth...
ENGC4436om 02/29/2000
It's a ballpark for baseball the way it is supposed to be played. It has its own character and charm that only adds to the game and the experience of being there to see it. The fans are extremely knowledgable. It is truly a link to the days gone by.
der6805du 01/05/2000
Quaint and historic but what kind of stadium doesn't have an upper deck???
nyyanksfan 12/14/1999
1 WORD: very old!
pott1246om 11/16/1999
There is no place in the world that captures the history of the game like Fenway Park. From the Hand Operated Scoreboard to Ted Williams' red seat in right field.
mike672om 11/12/1999
Best ballpark in baseball...why do you think all new parks are modeled after Fenways wonderful ambiance
ghil1109om 11/11/1999
It will be a sad day for baseball when it is torn down.
mjes417om 11/10/1999
Although I've never been there How else could you rate this icon of Americana baseball anything but great! I hope to see it before they tear it down.
skuu990et 11/08/1999
Fenway Park is a classic. I hope the great Boston baseball tradition is not changed too much with the future renovations. I would sacrifice the modern conveniences in order for the park to remain unchanged. Some new bathrooms would be nice!
matr878om 11/06/1999
Nothing can ever top watching a live baseball game in stadiums such as Wrigley field, Fenway Park, or even the hallowed Yankee Stadium. The old-style feel almost transport you back in time to the early 20th century, when baseball was still just a game.
pick826om 11/04/1999
Fenway Park is a masterpiece.
diff784om 11/03/1999
Fenway is classic! It has so much historywhich is what the game is about!
apar781om 11/03/1999
Fenway Park is one of most challenging ball parks because of the big green wall they have. It's very hard to hit a home-run in this stadium.
jsba737et 11/02/1999
Great old park and the prices are right. Seats are small and some bad views.
miam540om 10/30/1999
This is a very historic place. Even though there are many good seats you usually get stuck in bad ones, but the Boston atmosphere is the thing that makes it great.
Uige517om 10/30/1999
Fenway Park has such a mystique about it. Whenever someone plays there they have to think about the green monster in left field. The atmosphere there is of pure baseball.
dspr460om 10/27/1999
A close second to Wrigley, but the location and layout just aren't quite Wrigley.
PETE446et 10/27/1999
Not Wrigley but another great classic.
UNCL5OM 10/26/1999
Fenway has the most tradition & character. There's nothing like walking to a game in Boston. Great people, too.
