A great sooner fan who plays fun music!
TheHappySinner 666 05/01/2007
He's from Oklahoma, that automatically makes him stupid. On "Shock 'N' Ya'll" he has a song called "If I were Jesus", which is typical of country singers to include God in the picture while ranting about drinking, sinning, killing, and doing drugs. Not too much different from the Taliban and the other religious nuts of the world who claim to be "holy" while plotting to destroy their enemies( put a boot in their a**). Yep, hypocrisy is alive and well in country music.
TobyKeithsGal8 8 03/02/2007
weetbread has no idea was he's talking about. unless he's from a forgien country who deserves a boot in his a**.
donttredonme 08/06/2006
the greatest at the moment! i cant believe he aint rated higher
SteveTN 07/21/2006
Great live voice and darn good songwriter. What I admire about Toby is that he writes what he feels regardless if it is the popular opinion. That says a lot about him in my book.
leftfinger 07/21/2006
I'll give him 3 stars for entertaining videos.
sperryc 05/20/2006
I saw Toby on 4th of July last summer and, what a show. Talk about patriotic, he busted through the back of the stage in a Ford F-150 and one of the first songs he sang was about sticking a boot in Osama's a$$. A memorable night.
OutsideBlitz 11/22/2005
Toby Keith is a cool country star. Here's the only thing; he can't write worth a crap. However, even though lots of his songs are poorly written, he still makes the songs great. For example, Stays in Mexico had a good plot, but the writing for it wasn't good at all. Even so, I still like that song.
witchitamarcel 09/29/2005
straight up drinking music
PlanetaryGear 05/25/2005
A Festering by-product of the retarded culture known as YEE -HAAAW!
kattwoman 04/07/2005
his cds are the only ones that i love every song on them. i can listen to them over and over and never get tired of them. i like that he has his own mind and isnt afraid to speak what he feels and he isnt afraid of controversy.i respect honesty any day then somebody just saying what they think you want to hear so you like them.i was always a fan of classic country but i had never really had any interest in the newer stuff except maybe a few alabama and a song here and there. it was toby that caught my interest and then came tim mcgraw then brad paisley and the rest is history. i am now a big fan of country western. my mother laughs because when i was a teenager i used to make fun of her for listening to it and would always change it on the radio in the car
TMack042 03/24/2005
Toby Keith is the man. The only people who hate him are the anti-American Dixie Chicks fans. He says what he feels, doesn't kiss anybody's arse, and keeps putting out great songs. FUDC!
mmj2005 02/02/2005
Toby is awesome. He's not afraid to speak his mind and he doesn't care what people think. And he has been great with all of his support for our troops.
tocwelsh 01/04/2005
Another country singer who is just awful....
duchesmooch 11/22/2004
I feel Toby Keith is a great performer. I love his songs. His performances are great and so are his vidios. I just purchased his new CD that came out and his and his daughter singing mockingbird is fantastic.
weetbread 11/14/2004
toby keith is a no talent, washed up hacker, with no music ability at all. i am a veteran and a working musician. this guy makes me sick. what has he done for this country besides get every sweaty whitetrash redneck worked up and ready to kill anyone with darker skin than themselves. i am a republican, voted for bush, and terribly ashamed that this kind of trash represents america. toby, please retire and don't come back. maybe what happens in mexico, stays there.
Chalky 10/09/2004
great performer and songwriter....toby keith is great and i'm not even a huge fan of country music
goodlookin' 10/09/2004
You people are cracking me up!!!So angry at the man. No he is not over in the mist of battle, but speaking from a wife who's husband spent 15 months in the middle east during this war,I'm proud that there are celebritys who make a stand for there country.Sometimes music is the only thing that keeps these soliders from going mental over there, and if is a song that encourages and backs up what they are doing, what is wrong with that?Let me give you a little hintTurn the radio station! If you don't like it don't listen, don't buy his cd's,but wishing the man would choke on the Great American Flag. That's kind of harsh. You might want to consider counseling of some kind.Might help you to release some of that anger.!!
kichigai 09/23/2004
he's not even a pimple on the arse of the late, great, Johnny Cash. Now HE was a singer/songwriter. Toby is just a radio country star w/ a cell phone. Why dont you put your actions where your mouth is, toby, and go put a foot up their arse. What's that? oh you're too busy making crappy music and raking in money from people w/ bad taste in music. Oh you'd rather talk tough than actually do anything. ahh ok stupid f**king mullet wearing coward!!! F**k you AND the limo you rode in in.
stoogedude 09/17/2004
First of all, I'm sorry for saying leave the country. But I was just reacting with anger, I think of Toby as a role model. No, not to beat up and kill people. He isn't afraid to speak his mind. And his songs do have messages, as well. Everyone who doesn't like Toby seems to think that American Soldier and Courtesy are Toby's only songs. Does he sound barbaric with songs like You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This, or My List If Toby did nothing but sing songs about America, I would agree with you, but take his other songs into consideration. Question: When you first heard of the events of September 11th, didn't you just for a brief second feel like we should punish those who killed nearly 3000 innocent Americans? Courtesy is a song, about moments like that, where we feel anger towards those who did this evil act. And American Soldier is only to give support and morale to our troops, nothing barbaric about it at all. Thank you, and God Bless the USA!
Aaron Alexander 09/05/2004
Toby is the best country singer out there right now. Alan Jackson second. I love Country Music and Country Music is blessed to have such a great singer/songwriter in it. And to all of you who say mean things about him, leave America and never come back!!! There is no room for your disrespectful remarks. I support Toby and everything that he does. Toby is a TRUE AMERICAN!!!
countrygirl66 08/21/2004
TOBY: is a very good hearted man, that is admired by alot of people. there are so many talented singers out there and he is at the top of my list and always will be. he's just an good ole country boy, doing what he loves, and don't act like something he's not, just cause he has money. maybe alot more people should think about that and not judge someone so quick. he has his opinion's and beliefs like anyone else. he don't go around putting other people down. accept him as he is. I LOVE HIM DEARLY ! HE IS ONE FINE LOOKING MAN. HIS WIFE IS VERY LUCKY ! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TOBY ! LOTS OF US LOVE YOU :)
lady_leslie200 4 07/20/2004
Toby keith sucks. There are better country male artist out there then him. I am a dixie chick fan, they just said what everybody feels, that they are ashame that George W. bush is our President. Leslie Andrews.
ratingiscool 06/18/2004
He is very good looking, sexy, and men, his manly voice is so nice and awesome. Just like some others, however, he got some problem about this war issue that he really cannot think logically and he is not the type to hope the better world, but only his surroundings. But men, he is sexy. If he can change his attitude, he could be a much better singer and person. Love ya, Toby
Flag Waver 06/01/2004
He's no Pat Tillman. Tillman backed up his words and made the sacrifice. As far as I can tell, Toby has ridden his shallow nationalism all the way to the bank. I'll buy this huck's bull the day he joins the Marines and heads for Iraq. Anybody can wrap himself in the flag and talk tough when they are absolutely safe. Has this bozo ever taken a real risk in his life? What a phony. What a coward.
dsotm28 05/21/2004
Three things: music, politics, personality. Those are the categories by which I'd rate Keith. As far as Music goes, he should be credited as a singer-songwriter. 12 of his 16 Billboard songs were written by him; this is a proportionately higher percentage than most can boast. To add, songs like Should've been a Cowboy appeal to a wide range of music fans. Although I respect his wishes to advance a political platform through the forum of publicity he has through music, it's unfortunate that his political points are entirely unfounded. Keith is an uneducated man, and most of his wishes to support God and America court arguments that are entirely emotive. This was indicated in an interview he gave with Rolling Stone recently. My suggestion to him would be to attempt to educate himself regarding the issues he fronts before publicly becoming the figurehead for such issues. Becoming such a symbol for the right-wing side makes the right-wing in general look bad, which is self-defeating to Keith's endeavor. Should we fault him? It's easy to mutter, Keith is a moron, and we wouldn't be wrong. But we should probably cut him some slack in the sense that the man grew up in a small Oklahoma town in which growing into an intelligent being was not the norm. Sure, the option might have been there, but Keith didn't take it. He became a simple man and a writer of simple songs. We should just accept that at face value. In sum: he doesn't know any better.
maersk 05/18/2004
can i give this a**hole no star???? quite possibly the worst music & lyrics ever concieved by any member of the human race (shudder)
Patriot'sfan20 04 05/10/2004
Love him and his music. Toby puts on a great show and really gives his all to his audience. Great voice, awesome talent and all wrapped up in a real nice package! To TritonAgain who called Toby's butt fat NOT FROM WHERE I WAS SITTING. Nothing fat about that man, maybe you're just a jealous 90lb pantywaist girly man. Get away from your computer and pick up a weight or two.
Dawnsdinos 03/09/2004
Love everything about him. Love his music and his patriotism. We need more like him in this country. 5 stars for the Angry American representing the rest of us Angry Americans.
candyass 02/28/2004
Toby Keith is the sexiest man alive!! His voice is a total turn on and his music is the absolute best there is! His concert in Portland was outstanding. The presence and voice he gives to the audience is unbelievable. Anybody that badmouths him has never seen him in action. Go to a concert and find out for yourself how wonderful he is indeed.
jporterTN 01/14/2004
I love his musical style and his lyrics aren't cookie-cutter drama/love stories (see Talk about me, I'm just talkin about tonight et.all.) Also, I respect someone in the spotlight that can speak their mind and not apologize for it. He may come across as arrogant, but to be honest, I think that just enhances his sex appeal. Enjoyable to watch and listen to, 5 stars.
Taloa 01/14/2004
WTG Toby from a fellow Okie! I see there are a few here that don't care for Toby. Well, All I can say is aint that a shame. He's doin just fine, and then some without ya. HA! He sure put a boot in ole Nat's A** too didn't he? Yeeehaaa.
kolby1973 01/13/2004
There was a time that I didn't really care for this guy...but now I feel he has the right to his own opinion...AND I saw him on The Sharon Osbourne Show recently and I never realized what a good looking guy he really was ! I was like DAMN ! I would go ride his pony express any day...!!!
okiechic 01/12/2004
Love that Toby!
straitshooter 11/20/2003
Complete joke as far as I'm concerned. The only people who like this guy are drunk rednecks who don't know when someone is feeding them a bunch of crap.
tvtator 11/06/2003
I admit I like some of his songs, they aren't the greatest, but some are catchy(except his 9-11 piece of crap) However, as a person this guy is an arrogant ass. There are so many other stars that should be higher. George Strait, Alan Jackson,Ricky Skaggs, Clay Walker, Keith Urban Kenney Chesney, and so many more have more talent in their pinky then he'll ever have in his entire body. His 9-11 song was the most jingoistic piece of crap ever written. I agree with axlrod those phone commercials are horrid. Sure he may be making money but at least with , Alan Jackson, Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs they aren't doing some stupid phone commerical they are out playing GOOD country music. Tobey Keith an arrogant ass who sings some catchy songs. Give me Alan Jackson or George Strait anyday.
mikeholly93 10/22/2003
I hate this pitiful pro-bush redneck cowboy!
UrethraMiacin 10/06/2003
Country with muscles. Toby is the man of the hour with all of the power. Mr Biceps.
"Da Bitch" 08/17/2003
The "BOM" let's keep it to that!!!!!
StanUzbeck 07/27/2003
If I ever ran into Toby Keith on the street I would beat his ignorant face in with whatever blunt object I could get my hands on, then stomp his guts into the gutter and light his remains on fire and urinate on the ashes. There, that tirade was real mature and honest of me now wasn't it? I mean, I'm only echoing what's in the mind of everyone who was offended by his jingoism, right? That's exactly the same kind of mindless sentiment he showed in The Angry American. Real grownup Toby, you're a real class act.
Joe23665 07/26/2003
Another propaganda tool for the Bush man. Exploits 9/11 for personal gain, and to further the Bush Mafia takeover. Funny, seems the Dixie Chicks can't express their views, but boy howdy Toby can.
TobyKeithSucks 06/05/2003
Toby Keith is the next Billy Ray Cyrus only not as good! His music is so incredibly simplistic that only a real moron with absolutely no musical taste would like his music. And don't get me started on his patriotic bs. I'm sure if this bonehead were in Germany in the 1930's he would have a song about Germany kicking ass. He is nothing but a sheep like his good buddy Charlie Daniels - another no talent!!!
rich2002 05/29/2003
He's too cool and a great American!
Redoedo 05/28/2003
A truly amazing singer. I've always enjoyed his music (although his newer music is much better than his older stuff). Who can deny this man's patriotism with his powerful pro-American song, "The Angry American". I know that him playing that song for our military really raised their morale and let them know that they are not alone over there in Iraq- we are with them. Some other meaningful songs include "How Do You Like Me Now?", "My List", "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This", along with some cool songs like "Who's Your Daddy".
mochi22 05/25/2003
Love him. He's all man and a big hunk of one at that. Axl you sound like a sour, jealous 25 lb *ICKhed.
jasdit 05/24/2003
I am a retired navy woman. The first concert I went to after I retired in 1993, was a Toby Keith concert. My only complaints, it was entirely too short..... I have been to two other of his concerts since. I love his music. He is one of the few entertainers that is very outspoken in his support of the military. For this, and for the song, Angry American, I would like to thank him. Few people could have put the song in "military terms" the way a true military person would. In fact, a true military person's wording would be in a lot more obscene and triple X-rated words than what Toby used. I pray Toby continues writing and singing for many, many years to come. And as to how good he is, the number of his album sales and his fans is enough to prove he's a superstar.....
DrFeelgood03 05/22/2003
I likr his Pro America songs....that's the only thing good about country music I think.
TritonAgain 05/19/2003
What a moron. His 15 minutes are up, someone get his fat butt off the stage.
