Tony Blair ought to be tried as a war criminal.
pinkbex 04/14/2004
he had the hard task of scraping the remains of the country off the desaster of his pre-decessors, Thatcher and major. Conservative ruined our country. Labour have made many mistakes but he did his best with what he had. But quit while your ahead, oh and take bush's cock from outta your ass!
raiden 04/07/2004
i think he is a good leader, but he should not be president Bush's lapdog. He should take a more european course and leave america to do what it wants.
conhusk 04/07/2004
he's a great follower, not a leader. he's just a politician playing safe by following where the U.S. goes. if Mr. Bush are willing to drink 10 viagra pills, I bet Mr. Blair would voluntarily drink 9 of em
robespierre 03/31/2004
Tony Blair has done many things with which I do not agree economically. He has abandoned more traditional Labour principles. But he has stood up to the self-hating British left who would kill their own parents if it would erase their own British identity. And he has faced down Islamic madness which threatens to destroy all of Europe and the civilized world. In these dangerous times, when we are all facing our own extinction unless we stand up for our European societies, our European cultures, and our European philosophies, Tony Blair is a true hero for having the courage to defend our way against the barbarians of Islam.

Why has Tony Blair jumped onto the Bush bandwagon? His whole party was against the Iraq War.
czibert 01/05/2004
What an amazing politician. If we had a centre-left like New Labour here in the 'States instead of the special interest Democrats they would be unbeatable. Vive le Blair!

i give him a five for being a supportive ally

If Mr Blair spent enough time on the domestic problems of the UK as he does on trying to be sincere about saving the world, then perhaps we would think more highly of him. American contributors. Don't be fooled that this man is a great leader. He may stand shoulder to shoulder with your warlord, but he has failed to honour a single promise he has made. The rise of crime and in particular, violent gun crime is a fear for every UK citizen. Blair and his muppets have tied the Police up in red tape to such a degree that anything they do to stem the tide is pissed on in the courts and we see repeat offenders walking free time after time. It has taken this muppet nearly 7 years to do anything about the immense numbers of illegal immigrants entering the country and what does he suggest to stop them? Fining them 500 and taking away their children! I'm sure there are going to massive lines of asylum seekers wanting to pay up. The man and his government are a joke.

George Bush's lap dog, more than Britain's prime minister, the man has disgraced himself.

Thank you Bird808 - I was beginning to think the world had gone mad - Tony Blair the favourite politician?? PAH! I can only assume that none of you actually live in England, he is supposed to be our Prime Minister for gods sake, not a puppet to an uneducated pratt who tells him when to jump - "How high Mr. Bush...is this ok?" Millions of Brits were against Blair ever having anything to do with Iraq, we have our own issues, our own problems to contend with and Blair has quite blatantly lied about all his policies and quite frankly its way too late - come next election he's dust!
spunky 08/31/2003
Insincere liar. Let's watch his downfall and smile. NOte how many of the 5star ratings came from Americans who have noconcept of what this bastard has done to Britain.
mikeholly93 08/21/2003
In my opinion, the george w. bush of great britain. I hope that he is impeached and britain gets a better leader.
kolby1973 08/12/2003
I think Tony Blair is a great leader for Britain. I think it is wonderful that Britain is backing the United States in the war on terrorism as well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. He is kinda cute too ! :)
StanUzbeck 08/12/2003
Tony Blair is a whore and a shill for America. I mean, on the one hand it is admirable to take an unpopular stand based on principles, but what he did is nothing of the sort. He thought that he would leave a legacy where he would have brought Britain back to the forefront of the world stage. He thought he would be the next Winston Churchill. He thought that by joining the coalition he would be able to control its direction. News Flash Blair!!! America does not share power!!!! Blair is a complete whore and a loyal lapdog for a man who is by far his intellectual inferior. How can you follow after and wipe the ass of such a complete idiot unless you think that you're going to be made wealthy as a result. I hope the IRA take this pig down fast.
freshlysqueeze dcynic 08/09/2003
Blair is a Tory by any other name. Labour is no longer the party of the workers it was set up for. Yet trade unions still pay the Labour Party cash. The sooner trade unions can find their feet, wake up, and dissafiliate themselver from Labour, the better. Labour's policies, especially on asylum, have pandered to the worst kind of middle English middle class twats. Afraid to upset anybody, his trying to be all things to all people made most people dislike him. The gap between rich and poor is now higher than in Thatcher's day, and the NHS and the railways, because Blair doesn't have the guts to turn them back to the working, nationalied institutions they were, from the privatised, under-funded, crumbling laughing stocks they are now after years of Tory mismanagement. He is a disgrace to the name of the Labour Party, as is the whole Cabinet. Keir Hardie and John Maclean must be spinning in their graves.

lap dog of the feeble minded George W. Bush
SFShuggies 06/29/2003
MR Blair quoted something that Winston Churchill said about the U.S. in the past, "never distance youself from the Americans." All toehr countries wanted nothing to do with aiding our men in Afghanistan and Iraq. Britain stood by and gave whatever help they could, i DO belive that the war in Afghanistan was 100% justified, and i believe to a certain degree that so was Iraq. Although the main reason for that was to get the oil fields and liberate the Iraqis along the way. But i believe that Tony Blair is a great leader and politician. We wont distance ousrsleves from you Mr Blair.
charlie3 05/30/2003
Good man. Finally standing up for what is right even if it costs him popularity.
entranger 05/26/2003
Hey - Blair does not represent the British people. So shut the hell up about how 'grateful' you are to the UK because most of us don't support Blair and the way he brownnoses your moronic president. Blair only got 40% of the vote. He is just a Tory with a different name. But at least he's not George Bush.
Murf 05/23/2003
Tony Blair is a true and loyal friend to the United States, someone who understands what the word friend really mean.
PinTail 05/22/2003

He is morally courageous and seems rather likeable. It's a shame that so many people see him as a sort of puppet to the American administration. He has made desicions based on insight and vision, and his potential to influence Bush away from the agenda of the hawks is intact.

the war on terror isn't legitimate until someone takes out the most horrific terrorists of all. The British have been carrying out atyrocities against the Irish for over 800 years!
klytie 04/03/2003
I find it humorous that people are rating Tony Blair and inserting Bush comments- Bush is no terrorist! He and Tony Blair happen to be the only men big enough to step up to the plate! I can't understand why protestors can't admit that this is all about the UN FAILING TO BACK UP ITS OWN RESOLUTIONS!!!!
Jpowers 04/03/2003
a Typical British prime minister. His head up the backside of a war mongering right wing American President.

God Bless Tony Blair! A truly decent, honorable man who sticks to his convictions ignoring the polls and risking his own political career. The United Kingdom should be proud of him!
Michael R. Van Every 03/26/2003
On behalf of many grateful Americans, I want to express my gratitude toward Prime Minster Tony Blair and the great citizens of the United Kingdom in their support of America in her time of great need. Unlike France, Germany and Russia, whose very existence as a free, independent countries is owed to the great people of the UK and USA, the great citizens of the UK have stood shoulder to shoulder with America as we move into a military campaign that will surely see a great deal of death to many a Desert Rat and GI. In America there is great support to liberate Iraq, as is there a persistent minority voice against war. As a citizen who appreciates his freedom, I respect any one's right to protest war in any country. There has been no major world war for almost 60 years which is due in large part to the politics and military presence of our two great nations. I am of the firm belief that proactive measures to disarm rogue nations, such as Iraq, are necessary components to long term peace. War should always be a last resort, but it should be also noted that appeasement, via false world resolutions by false allies, will only lead to a more civil unrest throughout the world. As leaders of the free world, we cannot turn our backs to those people who live under tyranny and evil. September 11, 2001 has forever changed the world, and we must all make the sacrifices necessary to regain the peace. Thank You Great Britain for your sacrifices to freedom, and thank you Mr. Blair for your great leadership and loyalty to the United States of America in these troubled times. Most Sincerely, Michael Richard Van Every San Jose, CA

How high, Mr Bush? At least he tries to intelligently defend his position, unlike Smirk-boy.
Typical American 03/16/2003
Frankly, I don't have a grasp of the economical problems Britain is facing at the moment, or what role Blair is playing in them. I have gathered from some of the comments in this forum that the problems facing Britain are quite similar to the problems facing America. What I do know is that in a crucial time when America is looking to the world to see if we are truly understood and backed since the attack on 9/11, we are seeing that most of the other countries really couldn't give a damn. That's the way it is received on the American end. Everyone knows at this point that Al Queda is now specifically America's foeman and it has been adequately that anyone harboring this organization's members will be severely dealt with. Afghanistan was one such country. Iraq is also one such country. There are many others. We here in America have suffered a horrifying loss in life of not just loved fathers and mothers, but CHILDREN! For too long we have shook our heads and the amount of anti-American sentiment that has managed to arise until now, it has directly impacted us. We, as Americans can no longer sit idle. We must act! We are attacking the roots of the anti-American sentiment in the middle east methodically and specifically. Terrorist governments such as the Iraqi regime WILL be "reconstructed." Perhaps my government intends to move throughout the middle east, "fixing" these types of governments in a scientific manner, thereby minimizing anti-American policy. This can only make for a more stable Middle East. A friendlier Middle East. The entire world will benefit from this. For the life of me, I can't understand and am outraged that most of the other countries (ESPECIALLY FRANCE who has actually worked against us!) can't see that. We are not venomous warmongers biting at the chance to kill somebody. We want vengeance, true. But we want it "constructively." We want the crazy and ignorant Middle Eastern urge for killing to be swayed. What the hell does the world think is going to happen? Does the world think we just want war for no reason!!!????? Cripes! The way I see it, Tony Blair has been virtually the ONLY foreign diplomat to show the U.S. that he understands our sorrow and need for justice. He makes me proud of Mother England.

A great man for wanting to stand up to Saddam Insane. His own Labor Party is revolting against him, and I say---tough noogies! Blair is the right man for Britain. The loony Lefties can't stand it that Blair is his own man. Yay, Tony Blair!
andyjay 03/05/2003
I wish he were our President in America right now instead of Dubya Bush. He's liberal, but at least he seems to be more principled and moral unlike Clinton. And he's handling the UK's own terrorism issues pretty well. But he really should hire more police to tackle his country's rising crime rate and renationalize the British railroads.
The Pumpkin 03/02/2003
A bit confused economically, but a fearless leader
Xanatos 02/26/2003
Yeah, sure... The guy is a nut, but you can't blame the other countries for their fears. Yet, with Bush and his WAR CRAZY schemes, I fear this may be the beginning of a WORLD WAR THREE! Expecially when Tony Blair is supporting Bush's crazy idea for revenge on the Mideast. Yeah, I see why Tony supports the Americans. But I think he's getting too carried away.
lulabell 02/19/2003
I can't believe people bother to leave such messages as "I don't like him" when you've blatantly never met the man. Unbelievably it is probably extremely difficult to run a country! and no doubt some of you think you could do better, but to be honest, you wouldn't last a miinute. Tony Blair deserves respect, he is doing his best, and yes, he many make mistakes, but thats human nature. He has no doubt taken into account public opinion and advice from advisors to make all the important decisions that knock on his door. Give the man some credit, he is trying to protect and run this country as smoothly as possible, a damn hard job to manage the diverse population that exists in the UK.
Solenoid DH 02/18/2003
I didn't used to think very highly of Tony Blair because of his policies. But in recent months, he has been a tremendous friend to the United States, at large cost to himself politically. He may lose his job over it but I hope he will be around for a long time.

Vice President of the US Tony Blair. If I was a Brit, I'd be awfully PO'd.
cjeben 02/07/2003
Mr. Blair; You are going through a tough time right now in trying to do the right thing for your people as well as for the world. I hope that you can hold on and stick with your convictions. It is rare in this day and age to see two leaders like yourself and President Bush, who are brave enough to stand for a principle and stick with it. The people who are railing against you do not have the ability to see in the future, nor do they have the stomach to correct wrongs around them according to the need. My sympathy is with you, and I and my family thank you for your bravery. You will be rewarded in History, I am sure. Just in case History is altered, there will be many Ann Frank-type History Books,(thanks to self-publishing) which will record the truth. Sincerely, M. Friend

Tony Blair is one of the most prominent world leaders who gave us hope and strength in Kosovo during our hardest days in war, and because of that he deserves our gratitude forever
