Logic dictates that one of two things about Arafat must be true. Either (1) He is lying when he says he wants peace with Israel, and is controlling or aiding the murdering Palestinian thugs or (2) He really does want peace, but has no ability to control the Palestinian thugs as they blow up buses and crowded markets. EITHER WAY, he has made himself irrelevant. There is no point for Israel or the US to negotiate anything with him.

I think Israel needs to give back the territory taken in the 1967 war. The Palestinians need a homeland. Period. The killing on both sides needs to stop now.

Yassar Arafat is a pig. I don’t mean to wound the feelings of all the swine out there, but Arafat is pathetic, and so also are his followers. He sends in the children to do his dirty work, gets them killed, and then sends the parents of the slain cash. If he were a man, he would end the massacre of the innocent in his goal to send all the Jews into the sea. If he were a man, he would negotiate in good faith with a people who want peace. If he were human, he would have compassion for his own people. He cannot have sympathy for his people if he allows them to live in such filth. All of Palestine looked much like the West Bank and Gaza prior to 1948, and now Mr. Arafat wishes to return Israel to the pristine pigsty he and his fellow comrades wallow in today. being great proponents of human rights and international law, Britain and the US should feel disgusted with themselves. Firstly, Britain should be ashamed of producing the tatty piece of paper called the Balfour declaration, which gave the British governments approval for the creation of a state for jews in Palestine! What right did Britain have over Palestine? Britain stabbed the Arabs in the backs, promised them independance and then supported the creation of an illegal state on their traditional homelands. The US for its part also supported the creation of this illegal state. The jews claimed a historical claim on Palestine, which dated back some 3000 years. Although the Jews did inhabit the land in the past, modern day jews are converts. They do not descend directly from historic jews. However the modern day Arabs are direct descendants of the ancient inhabitants of the land the Canaanites. Their only crime was to convert to Islam some 1700 years ago. In conclusion I believe that the state of Israel is an illegal entity and the US and its supporters cannot truly promote a universal policy of human rights and international law unless they undo this grave injustice. PS the jews gained immense sympathy after the holocaust (justifiably), SO how did they manage to annex the land of people who had dwelled there for centuries? Also the Israeli constitution has uncanny resemblance to the US constitution. (an illegal annexation of land to which they have no historical right)

Everyone should give from what they have extra and receive what they are lacking. The Arabs have a lot of Land but very little desire for Peace. Israel has a lot of a desire for Peace but very little land. Therefore the Arabs should give Israel land and Israel will give the Arabs Peace. This is the only Land for Peace scheme that will work.

I would like to point out that Christians do not have a country to themselves. Do you see us going around taking over someone elses country?(No) We have holy shrines in Isreal, but you don't see us trying to take it over. I don't think the Jewish people need their own homeland. The Arabs did what anyone would do. They fought for their country. Arabs in Isreal do not have the same rights as Isrealis. Is that fair I ask? The Jews may have been killed by Hitler, but does that give them the right to take over someone elses homeland? The Jews at one time lived there but DESSERTED that land and came back 400 years later to try and get it back. I say that the U.S comes to its senses and helps to help the Arabs regain their land. In Yasser's position, who wouldn't do what he does? If the world's most rich and influential and supposedly just country supports the destruction of your homeland wouldn't you be upset? Once a terrorist and always a terrorist. It's amazing that all of the Arab nations back the Palestinians in their "dispute" with Israel, but none will give up some of their land for Arafat's people. The entire Arab world can only agree on one thing and that is too hate Jews and Israelis which is all the more reason for Israel to react as it has over the last month. If he can't control his own people now, why should we believe that he will be able to do so in the future?
