I wasn't old enough to vote in 2000, but I woulda voted for him. That being said, I give him 1 star because he tried to steal the election Bush won fair and square. Electoral College is part of our Constitution, but Gore wanted us to ignore that in favor of the popular vote. Plus, Bush never would have carried on the way Gore did if he won the pop. vote and lost EC. Don't believe me? Look it up! Ann Coulter's book mentions a newspaper that ran an article saying Bush would concede if he won the pop. vote and lost EC. This was what people were expecting to happen in the weeks before the election.

The number one person who stands to benefit from the debacle for the Democrats that was the 2004 election is Al Gore. Frankly, he's the only person left of any significant stature who can win a national election for the Democrats. Sure, many of the pundits have dismissed him as over the hill and half-baked, but Gore has a southern-base, reasonable positions, coherent, and lucid political ideas, and the executive experience needed to run the country. He's also hardly a leftist like many would like to portray him as. He is prone to exagerration at times, but isn't any politician. In terms of experience, knowledge, depth, and political talent, Gore is the best that Democrats have. 2008, if he chooses to run, will be his year.

I was disgusted with this guy when he was yelling HE BETRAYED THIS COUNTRY! when referring to Bush. I am so thankful he is not our President

mommyofsix 09/24/2004
This guy is a joke....what a blow fish! Why can't the democrats get over the 2000 election?? Gore reminds me of a big baby that didn't get his own way. Thank God he wasen't elected!!
blueblitzkrieg 09/10/2004
He'll always be my president. He WAS elected in 2000. All you Bush-freaks that are going to say my comment is not helpful know it too. Your president is a fascist, democracy-hating FRAUD.
truthordare 08/28/2004
Hey, this stiff couldn't even carry his home state...which wasn't really his home state since he grew up in private schools in the DC area. Tennesseans had this guy dead to rights.
arocker 08/26/2004
A awful stiff politician, who if he has presented himself with any class would have been President today. Kerry should keep him well hidden!

He is a pompous, boring lapdog who stood by while Clinton tarnished the White House and Presidency for eight years. He didn't even blink an eye when creditable evidence came to light regarding Clinton's alleged vicious rape of Juannita Broaderick.

This leftist elitist has really lost it. He talks about how President Bush has lied to the public yet was the VP in the administration that had the most trouble with the truth in the history of our country. I actually feel sorry for this guy as he has become a caricature of himself.
Rick18 07/07/2004
OMG...this dude has totally lost it...although I did not agree with his ideas he did seem like a capable V.P.but over the course of the last few years he has acted a little strange...I mean I heard his last speech to the Democratic faithful and even they were even scratching their heads trying to figure out what he was ranting and raving about....a sure way for Kerry to lose the election is to give him any prominant role in this election cycle...hmmm not a bad idea after all...maybe Bush/Cheney should put him on their payroll...
callitdownthel ine75 07/07/2004
This man has become totally irrelevant. Instead of trying to show people why he should have been President instead of our current Commander-in-Chief, he has shown why he should never be. Al Gore is nothing but a vile, unprofessional, contemptious man who has hurt the Democratic Party over his pettiness and selfishness.
LoudKidB 07/03/2004
People Please, Albert Gore Junior was absolutely born with the most silver spoon possible stuck in his mouth, and he is not as sincere as he is given credit for being. How does he stick to convictions when I don't recall him having any.

jaywilton 06/16/2004
His premature endorsement of Howard Dean in the 2004 Democratic primary at the expense of his buddy and 2000 running mate Joe Lieberman strongly suggests that depending on politics, he's for running with token Jews named Lieberman.
Redoedo 06/15/2004
Gore has gone absolutely nuts. Screaming at the top of your lungs and calling the President of the United States a traitor is a tad bit much for a former Vice President. It's quite amusing that back in 2000 people accused him of being too boring and now he's too fired up. Gore evidently does not know the meaning of the word statesmanship and is an embarrassment to the Democratic Party. He is nothing more than a political hack who is making an obviously desperate attempt to garner some attention.

kerry zadick 06/01/2004
He's so desperate for any attention at all, that he's perfectly willing to make an ass of himself to get coverage. A sad, bizarre, bitter man.

He was a great inventor. I love using the internet. I just think he was a lousy politician. He just doesnt understand not everyone in America is suffering the way he proclaims. How in the world did he lose the last election? He was practically an incumbent during the prosperous dot.com era that he facilitated with his invention of the internet.
sooyiban 02/13/2004
I used to think he was a fool (invented the internet? was the role model for Love Story? , etc), but now I think he's pathetic and pitiful. Really, how stupid could someone be to try and rile a crowd up about global warning during winter? His recent talk in Tennessee, screeching about Bush, made him look unstable. (Not to mention the hair plugs or weave he now has). He gave an elegant concession speech in 2001 and could have been respected as an elder statesman. Now he will be thought of as a buffoon. As always, Al Gore snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

thank god he isn't president.

Career politician who would make a lousy president. Although the american people elected him with the popular vote, the only way we'd be any better off if he were in office is economically.

this guy admitted after conceeding the election that he never really wanted to be a politician, and that he was pushed in that direction by his old man. Great. How could anyone like a man who doesn;t care one bit about his job? Would you like it if you were going for surgery and your doctor said he was going through the motions to please his daddy, and didn't care about the job? SCARY.

I now understand why this man has no personality. It's because his wife won't let him have one. If the "lovely" couple had gotten their way then anything that they view as offensive would be removed. I don't remember anyone giving either of them the right to decide what anyone else should be exposed to.

President-in-exile should have fought for Florida tooth and nail. Not for his sake, for this country's. Can you imagine what it would be like, you know with freedoms and the like, if Bush were out?

It never ceases to amaze me that nearly half the US was willing to vote a pathological liar into office. I mean, come on people, that's a mental illness. He invented the internet? "Love Story" was about Al and Tipper? His mother sang him to sleep with "Look for the Union Label" when the song didn't come out until he was in his twenties? Did that scare no one but me?
BIGBABY 06/14/2003
At least Clinton could get away with his lying. This guy is a complete idiot who just sits around complaining. This idiot just complaines, yet he offers no plan or solution to whatever he is complaining about. What makes this guy so appealing to SO many people? He was the vice president of the worst president in history!
wetsack 05/24/2003
Al Gore is typical liberal trash that does nothing but whine and cry all day. After all the debates I watched of him, I still know nothing about him. His views change with the weather because he has no morals of his own.
DrFeelgood03 05/22/2003
Thank God he did not win!!!!!! We should all say thanks to God everyday. Our country would be in so much trouble if he was President. He wouldn't fight back. Thank God for Bush!

Thank GOD this idiot was not president when 9/11 happened. This guy has been a puppet for his liberal wife and the radical Democrats for years. He has proven his limited intelligence repeatedly over those years. I don't believe he could have handled that situation. This is my opinion.

I thought Presidents were supposed to do more? Oh wait.....THE ELECTION WAS STOLEN!!!!!! The winner of the majority of votes in any democracy should be the winner, this ceased to be a democracy the day dictator Georgie Jr. came to power, in his blood-less coup of our country.

What a mess! God forbid this man ever again holds a position of power. His speaking style is a rambling hodge-podge of typical democrat double-speak cloaked in adjectives, metaphors, superlatives, hypocrisy, and visceral rhetoric.
