He's just Barack Obama without charisma

Jesse may deserve a *1* or a *2*, but he's not as disgusting a crook as many of the wingnuts who've been rated higher, so I'm going to join jj_frap in attempting to correct the balance.
jj_frap 12/09/2008
Not especially great. but I give him 5 * because there's no way he's worse than Trent Lott and I want to do my part to fix that.
Chalky 10/29/2008
I thought Jesse Jackson was the love child of John Edwards.
lunamix 02/07/2008
Surprise! Total lowlife!!!
Tmunsonw 01/14/2008
many of his ideas from the presidential run have been adopted by mainstream politicians now...some of the same ones who were then critical...

Hypocrite!

The "Revvvrrrannd" Jackson...You have got to be kidding!! Reverend...NOT!! He is nothing but a race baiter!! I'll take TDJakes anytime!!

FREAK!

569 votes of "1" must be some kind of a record on RIA. After seeing that, I won't let anyone even suggest to me that RIA is "liberal." While it would be good to have someone in Jackson's position who isn't spawning illegitimate children or employing made-up words, it's still necessary to point out that Jackson has been doing an essential service to the nation for decades now. The "Rainbow Coalition" was far more compelling than anything Sharpton has served up. At so many moments in recent history, Jackson has been there ... even though sometimes I wish he wasn't, because the media seems to turn to him as a predictable "Black Perspective" when there are so many better and more varied black voices in the public sphere. Still, Jackson has been a worthy and noble part of American culture, and deserves more respect than this.
BustinDustin 08/13/2007
This guy...outlived any usefulness he may have once had a long, long time ago.
JackTar 08/10/2007
Please don't judge Christianity by the conduct of Christians. Judge Christianity by the conduct of Christ. That said, Mr. Jacksons political is not worth mentioning any further.
JStephenConn 03/20/2007
Jesse Jackson has done more to hurt the black race than any person living or dead - and all in a self-serving effort to enrich and empower himself.
JarvisTeam 12/05/2006
This guy is more of a racist, a bigot, a liar and a bad example of a Christian.
disgust4PCness 11/07/2006
I'm amazed that Jackson is listed under Politicians and Officials...plain and simple, he is a propagandist. Then again, I guess you could say that most politicians are propagandists...however, Jesse Jackson defines the term...he doesn't speak a single truth. He is also a race-baiter, a feminist, he can't speak English to save his life (ebonics and rap do not count), and he is (along with Al Sharpton) the quintesential racist. Anyone that does not believe this has been fooled by a master craftsman.
Ih8rateitall 03/09/2006
Jesse dude don't make up words to try to sound smart. The ratingation I will give you is twicealious stars. That is a missadeduction of highly monscruptliocious atrocities! <-- See Jesse Jackson, bigger words aren't always a good thing dude.
gamerman 02/24/2006
I noticed for the most part that a lot of black people are rated the lowest. Usually I would disagree with these claims but I have to rate this guy low. My reasons are differnet than most of yours, some don't like blacks who are newsworthy. Jesse is supposed to be a leader, you can't do things like cheat on your wife. You can't tell us what the black community is doing wrong and you did the same thing. He screwed around on his wife and had a kid on the side. I tell ya, this guy and Bill Cosby.
Kevin T 01/21/2006
All I have to say is stop listening to this loser and listen to Bill Cosby. At least he has enough guts to address the real problems.
scarletfeather 11/06/2005
He's a funny guy. He has a good heart too. I think he really means well.
SamTheMan 11/06/2005
Con Artist! But I am a member in good standing at his church and still get a little emotional listening to his sermons every Sunday.

He has his niche.
PlayMisty 10/03/2005
Can't black people see how this manipulator keeps blacks from becoming independent and proud of themselves. By telling them that they need extra help (Affirmative Action), he is basically saying, you are inferior and you need special assistance. What an insult!
Torontosucks 09/16/2005
This guy is a piece of crap.
thecheeser 09/08/2005
Wow.
jmanltu 09/05/2005
Jesse Jackson needs to get the hell out of New Orleans, and stay out of the Hurricane Katrina situation. We don't need this ignorant crap.
SZinHonshu 07/27/2005
In the words of former congressman JC Watts from Oklahoma: A race hustling poverty pimp. He is one of the reasons the Democrats can't currently win an important national election anymore. People like him, Barbara Boxer, Cynthia McKinney, Al Sharpton, Maxine Waters, Teddy Kennedy and others pull the Democratic party even further away from mainstream American thought and values than do a bunch of Fundamentalist Christians who want to force feed Terry Schiavo and teach creationism.
GOPmember76 07/23/2005
Keep hope alive Jesse.
southparker9 04/11/2005
I hope he doesn't find out who I am. He might sue me behind race. Me being Black might hurt his case. He is the biggest corporate blackmailer in America. Couldn't get elected dogcatcher. Should govern through his son.
Jimmie 03/25/2005
Jackson doesn't give a tinker's damn about child slavery in Africa. He can't get money from them and there are no white people or corporations over there to extort money from. Jackson is a self-serving SCUMBAG, pure and simple! I wonder if brother Jesse every got around to paying child support for all his little Jesses and Jessies? But of course all us white people should be paying for them, after all our evil ancestors made him do it.
McGowan 03/07/2005
Is it NOT against the Law, to impersonate a reverend/preacher/minister/rabbi , or any Man of God?You MUST be registered with all the paperwork , and everything else ,right? So how has he, sharpton , and every lesser known black racist race baiters in every city ,large and small , been allowed to get away with this , for so many decades? Round them up , and throw them in jail , for the rest of their lives!!!!
James76255 02/15/2005
I don't like most of his politics, but I have to admit he does a hell of a job when it comes to dealing with diplomacy. The fact that he has helped get hostages released is enough to get a 3 from me.
Psalmy 11/26/2004

WHAT AN IDIOT!! I can't believe this guy calls himself a Christian!

he is a fony
Louie222 09/11/2004
Does anybody take this guy seriously anymore? He's Bill Clinton's idea of an marraige counselor. Only liberals wouldn't see the humor in that. He speaks in jingles. The media gives him a free ride. He's a joke.
truthordare 09/03/2004
Horton Heat is a Reverend also. Truth is, he's about as much a reverend as Jim Dobson is. But as far as I know, Dobson hasn't fathered any illegitimate children.
Groovy 08/04/2004
Jesse is nothing but a greedy, sleazy opportunist who extorts money and plays on people's prejudices and fears. He is not religious in the least.
freethrow 08/03/2004
Can you say S-A-T-A-N?
Vindicator58 07/31/2004
This guy is a fake and a jerk! He is not, was not and will never be a Reverend. He added that title to his name so people would respect him! So, in the end, he is a liar and a fraud!
kikikristi 07/29/2004
Who died and made you god? There are tons of respectable black americans who SHOULD have their voices heard. Step aside, you've had your chance. Let the real heros have the stage.
BeatlesfanStev eo 06/21/2004
He's a wacko
sooyiban 06/13/2004
A hypocrite who gets a free ride from the citizens of this country. Hey, Reverend: if you really want to help your people, why don't you start paying taxes like the rest of us?
jonhere 05/12/2004
This guy does an injustice to all Minority causes. His hatefull, ambulance chasing, extortionist angle only works to divide America. But he don't care as long as he gets paid.
abichara 04/04/2004
Jesse Jackson is out of gas as a political leader. His failure lies in his inability to change with the times, making him largely irrelevant today in the civil rights movement. He was a close associate of Martin Luther King Jr. and has led various liberal civil rights organizations since then. Jackson uses race too much as a flashpoint. Black businessmen who might be unethical get a pass in his book because of their skin color. Blackmailing companies that don't hire that many blacks is also not right. Unfortunately this guy is the most prominent civil rights leader in the country right now. Time to field for new talent and ideas. It's time to move beyond the old victimization track.
tdubya71 01/30/2004
Mancow is right, he is Jesse Jackass. And where's his church? He extorts money from NASCAR and Toyota and doesn't practice what he preaches. He probably likes all the racist Kill Whitey gangsta rap too.
jgls 12/22/2003
because of his leadership race relations have taken two steps back
knockout 12/20/2003
This guy is a huge wolf in sheep's clothing. This guy pretends to care for others, but he is really just out for #1. This guy is all about power, money, and being in the spotlight, and he'll sell out his principles in a heartbeat to get them (i.e. his flip-flop on abortion when he ran for President for the first time in 1984 after being one of the most prominent pro-lifers before that). He's definitely more than willing to kiss white liberal ass, and he's done it on numerous occasions. He claims that Martin Luther King died in his arms, when he wasn't even there when MLK died. This man has no shame - Lie, steal, sell out, kiss ass (white liberal ass that is), whatever it takes to retain his power and money. Martin Luther King may not have been a saint, but he was a hell of a lot better than this joker is. Jesse Jackass is an embarrassment to black Americans, and hopefully more black Americans will wake up and see Jackson for the race-hustling, poverty pimp, scumbag that he really is. There's plenty of good role models for black youth (e.g. J.C. Watts, Reggie White, Alan Keyes, Thomas Sowell, Condoleeza Rice, e.t.c.), but this assclown isn't one of them. He's done more harm to the black community than the KKK ever could. 'Nuff said!
The Real Truth 11/14/2003
The word reverend is used in the King James version of the Bible just once. And in that instance it says that holy and reverend is His name. It's God's name Jesse, not yours. And since it translates as awesome it certainly fits HIM better. Politically you're more of a distraction now than a help. To your credit you've done ton's of good in the past (i.e., retrieval of U.S. hostages, civil rights movement 60's and 70's) but now it seems like you're looking for publicity. Go away, Jesse.
