I LOVE THIS MAN!! HE HAS THE INTESTINAL FORTITUDE TO SAY THE THINGS THAT MOST AMERICANS SAY IN THEIR HOMES, BUT HE SAYS THEM TO THE PRESS. HE HAS A NO HOLD BAR WHEN IT COMES TO SAYING WHAT'S ON HIS MIND, IF YOU LIKE IT, FINE, IF NOT, FINE. BUT ATLEAST HE DOESN'T SKIRT AROUND THE ISSUES. YOU KNOW WHERE HE STANDS. IF HE WERE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT, I WOULD STAND IN LINE TO VOTE FOR HIM. I BELIEVE THAT HE WOULD GET ALOT OF THESE LAZY PEOPLE THAT DOESN'T WANT TO WORK AND WANT THE GOVERNMENT WELFARE HANDOUT, BACK IN THE WORKPLACE AND CUT THIS MONEY OUT. I'M SICK OF TRYING TO RAISE MY FAMILY AND SOMEONE ELSE'S TOO. ALOT OF THE "RECIEPTIANTS" DRIVE BETTER AND NEWER CARS THAN i DO, EAT BETTER THAN i DO, WEAR DESIGNER CLOTHES, AND THEN HAVE ALOT NEWER HOUSE THAN MINE AND ON TOP OF THAN, HAVE THE POWER COMPANY GIVE THEM A REDUCED RATE IN THEIR BILL! DAMN, WOULD SOMEONE OUT THERE WAKE UP BEFORE I'M IN THE MINORITY!!! I WORK VERY HARD TO PROVIDE FOR MY FAMILY AND RESENT SEEING THIS EVERYWHERE I GO. I KNOW THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY THAT'S FED UP WITH THIS BUT NOBODY HAS THE GUTS TO SAY IT. I WISH THAT MORE OF US WOULD STAND UP AND BE HEARD. WHY SHOULD THEY LIVE LIKE THIS AND OUR SENIOR AND ELDERLY ARE HAVING TO MAKE THE DECISION TO BUY MEDICINE, FOOD, OR FUEL TO COOK AND HEAT WITH. IT'S S SHAME. THESE ARE THEY VERY PEOPLE WHO FOUGHT AND DIED IN WAR, WERE DISABLED SO THAT WE COULD HAVE WHAT WE DO TODAY. THEY WROKED LONG, HARD HOURS IN A REAL MILL TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR FAMILIES AND WHAT DO WE GIVE THEM IN RETURN? ALMOST NOTHING. GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS!!!

The sheer size of this guys head makes him suspect. I wouldn't vote for a bottom feeder like Jesse but I wouldn't tell him to his face. It's a bad habit to say something like that to a former Navy SEAL. He does have common sense. Unfortunately, common sense without knowledge, in any field, equals moron.

Jesse "The Mouth" Ventura needs to understand the difference between being on TV and being a leader. If Minnestoans re-elect this nitwit, I'll never live anywhere that cold, for fear of my brain freezing, as theirs have. Ventura is free to have as many stupid ideas as his wrestling-traumatized brain can handle. After all, under Hillary's careful guidance (c'mon children, Hillary knows best for you...), we considered socialized medicine. But why in the world is he a governor, where he has a platform? "Better to say nothing and have people consider you a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt..."!!

Although I don't always agree with his political ideas, I think Jesse is more honest and real than most people in office. I also think that he gets a bad rap just because he is a former wrestler. If this man ever decides to run for President, he can count on my vote.

common sense, and the will to be straightforward on any subject are just two of the traits that make him deserving of everyones respect and admiration. a breath of fresh air. exactly what this country needs to get the people back feeling like the government is actually for the people.

I had high hopes for Jesse, but he has become a joke.

Jesse frightens me. He has some good instincts -- that gov't shouldn't be paternalistic -- but he's into this cult of personality thing. He says he loves McCain b/c Bush and Gore are boring. He seems to want pro wrestler personalities to take the Capital over, like the whole point of this stuff is celebrity...

I give him a 5 for one reason...he gave the great people of Minnesota an opportunity to show just what they and the rest of the public thinks of the business as usual Republicans and Democrats. Maybe he'd sell out to corporate interests as they did...but they voted for a man who hadn't sold out yet, at least.

Seems remarkably honest for a politician -- I like that!

As dopey as he is, I think he's good for politics. Some of the things he says are just shockingly ridiculous, and I'm not real sure he's very good at getting anything done, but I think his election is a good sign for our democracy.

Ventura is an irresponsible person. He took a high-ranking position w/o regards to his effectiveness. As a third-party candidate w/o allies in state legislation he shouldn't have subjected the people to his inevitable inability to look out for their interests.

Ronald Reagan was a bad actor. Sonny Bono was an awful wrestler. At least Jesse "The Body" shows he has some spirit!

Jesse Ventura brings real change a real person attitude to the office. He represents the peopld and not just the bureaucrats.

I'm not that impressed, however I believe his election is a loud outcry to the ridiculousness of politicians and how sick everyone is of the political arena.
