WHO CAN DENY THE FACT THAT HALIBURTON IS GETTING ALL THE CONRTRACTS IN IRAQ AND CHENEY IS THE CEO????? GIVE IRAQ BACK TO THE IRAQI PEOPLE!! WE ARE ALL PAYING THE WHITE HOUSE FOR PERSONAL AGENDAS, YOU THINK GEORGE SR IS THINKING ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHEN HE MEETS WITH SAUDI OFFICAILS ON A REGULAR BASIS TO DISCUSS BUSINESS MATTERS AND NOT ONE QUESTION IS RAISED TO THEM EVER ABOUT OR TO THE BIN LADEN FAMILY?? YOU THINK WE SHOULD HAVE FLOWN THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF TIMOTHY MCVEIGH OUT OF THE COUNTRY IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE OKLAHOMA BOMBING? STOP LIVING IN DENIAL PEOPLE!!! THE SENATE JUST CONFIRMED TODAY THAT OUR INTELLIGENCE WAS NOT RELIABLE IN GIVING OUR ADMINISTRATION A REASON TO ATTACK IRAQ. YES THERE WAS ONE OFFICIAL IN THE REGIME THAT MAY HAVE HAD TIES TO AL-QUAIDA. ARE YOU KIDDING ME, OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ARE DYING BECAUSE OF A HUNCH??? DO NOT RE-ELECT THESE CROOKS IN NOVEMBER OR WE WILL BE SCREWED, WE HAVE ALREADY BRED A NEW TERRORIST ORGANIZATION IN IRAQ WITH OUR INVASION. THE MEDIA IS LISTENING TO AN ADMINISTRATION THAT TELLS THEM WHAT THEY CAN AND CANNOT SHOW US, JUST LIKE THE ELECTION THAT WAS OWNED BY AL GORE BUT THAT IS A WHOLE OTHER CROOKED STORY

Seriously scary and devious human being. The brains behind the George W. And to tell you the truth I don't know what's worse, having this slime-ball who's loyalties are tied to the oil-rich of America running everything, or having the idiot who thinks God sent him to bring freedom to all mankind runnuing it. A frightening duo. Man they scare the crap outta me.

Headed GW VP search commitee and surprise picked himself even though he has health issues and was not the best candidate. Is a fascist, will not tolerate dissent or even a healthy debate on policy. Lets politics decide issues, not what is best for the country. Won't even support his gay daughter on gay issues. Will bash anyone that disagrees with him call them unamerican, not supporting the troops , weak on terrorism..the usual republican fearmongering. They don't have anything positive so they just use fear and intimidation and tell you things would be worse with someone else. same thing that got mussolini, hitler, franco and stalin to power. George Soros who was a persecuted child in eastern europe during Hitler's reign was so reminded of that time that he has pledged his millions to fight this administration.

Dick Cheney has a very long portfolio in both government and business. He served in both the Nixon and Ford Administrations, rising to chief of staff in the Ford years. He was elected to Congress from Wyoming in 1978, where he served for 10 years. There he was known as a solidly conservative voice. His most controversial vote, which was made over during the 2000 campaign, was his vote against establishing an embargo with apartheid South Africa. President Bush the 41st made him Defense Secretary, where he advocated very hawkish views. He coordinated strategic planning during the Persian Gulf War. He advocated more use and spending on technological warfare and intelligence. The problem with this approach is that you can't control the situation on the ground with these techniques. Cheney and the Neo-Conservatives were impressed by these fireworks during the Gulf War and they assumed that it would work as well in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nothing can really replace a manned military presence on the ground, especially if you want to engage in the foolish notion of nation-building which both Clinton and Bush have subscribed to. At the end of the Cold War, he advocated a unipolar world structure where the United States would be the unquestioned superpower, to the victor goes the spoils. Unfortunately it's not that simple. In all actuality there are about 4 or 5 powers that are major economic, social and even military players that can affect America's actions abroad. Cheney and his group seems to ignore balance of power considerations and realpolitik primarily because they believe the US can do whatever it wants. But anyways, when Bush lost re-election, Cheney went on to become executive of an energy company named Halliburton. I'll make the story short, there's a lot of corporate cronyism in this administration; changing of regulations to aid and support noted industries that are heavy Republican donors. Imported oil has become a greater part of the Bush-Cheney geopolitical calculus; you have a nexus of connections between national security, de-regulation of domestic markets, and the military-industrial complex. In my opinion, de-regulation as done by the Republicans has lead to the concentration of excessive corporate power in the hands of a few people, leading to less competition in the marketplace. This applies on many economic sectors, from energy companies to communications, where Clear Channel, a noted Bush-Cheney contributor, reaches 115 million TV and radio viewers. Even the market on ideas are being limited under this regulatory scheme. The connections to the military-industrial complex are even more dubious, where it has been noted that campaign contributors have received some plum contracts in Iraq and have over-charged the government. From building jail cells in Guantanamo for terrorists to logistical support in Central Asia, Halliburton and its subsidiary organizations play a major role in running our foreign policy. Cheney's secretiveness doesn't exactly help matters either. The excessive panic after 9/11 where the Vice President was taken to an undisclosed location gives us the impression that he governs above us, unaccountable to none. Even more disturbing is that Cheney seems to be a dominant force in this White House. The imposition of Cheney's Neo-Conservative ideology, a philosophy which has more in common with corporatism rather than traditional conservatism, is highly disturbing. Far too much power has been concentrated at the top, all in the name of the war on terrorism, or terror as Cheney and Bush say. Frighten the people and they will get behind anything is the philosophy of the Bush administration. Cheney has been one of the most powerful VP's that have ever served. Historically, the position was meant as a token political offer. Cheney effectively runs the policy and political operation in this White House mostly behind the scene. Maybe it's better that they keep him in the undisclosed location, his public persona fits the corporate cronyism that dominates this White House. And that's something the people definitely disprove of about Bush.

Cheney is probably the most frightening and corrupt member of the administration. If he is such a good businessman, then why did he help steer the world's largest economy into a steep nosedive while ensuring that he and his friends would continue to become wealthier and wealthier. Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of economics would tell you that tax breaks for the rich will never jumpstart the economy because during a recession (i.e. right now) investors tend to bank their capital since it is perceived as too risky to invest it. He is a good businessman the way Pablo Escobar was a good businessman.

Why can't I vote zero for this beastly, power hungry, fascist corporate bandit of a politician??? I have never liked him, especially after he tried to cut Headstart. As a former Headstart teacher I saw first-hand just how vital this proven program is for low-income people. This guy is like a rabid dog so it's no wonder that someone as insecure as Bush would choose him as a running mate. Oh, and his health? Why, it's never been better he says! That's why he has medical care 24 hours a day. Hey Cheney- so did my grandfather. Right before he died in a nursing home.

Even I can admit that Vice President Cheney has a distinguished record of service to our nation, serving under four Presidents from 1969 to the present. He seems to be a man who holds true to his own convictions and beliefs, but his record while in the Congress during the 80's speaks for itself. He joined a crowd of about 20 other right wing radical conservative Republicans by voting against common sense legislation, most of which would have served the nation's better good yet went against his right-wing agendas. For more information on this, visit: http://bush-cheney.net/. In the final analysis, admirable in his conviction and service to the United States for the past three or four decades, he does not seem to have anyone's interests but his own at heart.

Dick Cheney is a hawk when it comes to his opinions on war. I always think it interesting to think about how Robert Kennedy or someone like that might have handled the September 11th attacks or Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. He's always condoned the unnecessary pouring of funds into military machines to protect from a basically non-existent Soviet threat.

Cheney is intelligent, experienced and knowledgeable, but displays poor ethics and insults the intelligence of the American people. This business of refusing to disclose details of meetings with Enron because it would supposedly prevent future V.P.s from receivng "unvarnished advice" is disingenuous, spurious and just plain LAME! The government pays experts to give him advice on the record and there are outside experts who would line up to bend his ear. When Enron gives Cheney and his party over a million dollars, then gets an energy policy that looks like their wish list, and a V.P. who acts as their international collection agency, influence has been BOUGHT. When there is evidence of fraud, everyone involved needs to be accountable for the related actions they have taken.

It is a shame that the only man in Washington with a brain has heart trouble. I watch him frequently on television, and he has never failed to give an intelligent answer to any question posed. Besides being intelligent, he is honest. He directly answered "No, I do not." when asked if he respected Louis Farrakhan. What other answer can a White male honestly give? Would you prefer someone who kisses the ring of such filth, like Al Gore did to "Reverend" Al Sharpton? (Real Reverends don't promote hatred.) Cheney for President, as soon as possible!

I am not totally sure, but I have read various articles and looked at evidences, with important references and demonstrations... Dick Cheney, like other politicians, among them the Bush, and not only them, is badly implied in dirty traffics. He is, certain, like somebody else wrote here, a 'good businessman' and a fair speaker, but is he honest? Does he tell the truth or lies, when he speaks? The words and the facts have to be coincident, the only words (the facts are more important, if one saw them directly, less if one hear from the propagandas and the newspapers) do not count! Cheney is the vice president of the USA, but he manage some big companies, like the Halliburton Inc. and of the Brown & Root. Only Oil interests for these companies? They have a very bad fame, in the sense they appear involved in dirty money games and drugs games too... Not only! The Brown & Root is involved in many dirty actions worldwide, in particular, when one speaks of wars... Is it possible that, in the next future, there are some interesting bad enemy of the 'US interests' (some new Hitler?) in South America, maybe in Columbia and that this requests a military intervention. Why? Because we saw some similar events occurring in the past, particularly where the Brown & Root established some big bases before (Bosnia, Kossovo, Cecenija, Ruanda, Birmany, Pakistan, Laos, Indonesia, Iran, Libya, Mexico and Colombia). I cannot give all the data here, but I can tell you you have to visit some interesting sites to grab some more data on Cheny, the Bush, and other particular names, organizations and situations... Symptoms of heavy corruption have to be examined and really investigated from the sane US powers, because they are building a really negative fame for this otherwise great country. One site to visit is: http://www.copvcia.com, then, for example: http://www.sosbeevfbi.com

I can't decide who's a bigger Moron, Dick Cheney or G. Dubya Bush. I guest Dick likes being "Dick in the Bush"! How can someone of his mentality have a lesbian daughter? Either he's knows the fallout of him kicking her out of the house, or she's just too stupid to walk away. How can she, a lesbian, be proud of a Moron for a father? In my opinion, and many others, Dick "In the Bush" Cheney is the worst Vice President ever! Well, I'll tie him with First Place with Dan Quayle!
