I guess he's as good as any suicide candidate the Democrats will push on the American voters in 2004.

I did a 2 week analysis on Lieberman and I cannot help but to encourage him to be a presidential candidate for 2004. He can get along with both parties while staying true to some major issues. I believe he is the strongest potential candidate to go against George W. Bush for the 2004 election. Sure, he is pro-abortion, but there isn't much anyone can do about that issue. If you make it illegal, there will be more close hanger abortions and possibly more deaths of mothers. This issue will never be solved therefore no one should base their opinions of a candidate soley of his pro-life/pro-choice stanz.
Shukhevych 12/08/2002
Hypocrite and excommunicated Jew. He claims to be Orthodox but he is pro-gays and pro-abortion.
Averagejoe54 10/31/2002
Does anyone really think our Zionist-occupied government needs more Zionists?? How about we elect an American (or at least someone who first allegiance is to America) to important political positions. Now that's a novel thought
benfergy 04/16/2002
What's with these people who think that just because he didn't vote to convict Clinton, he's a hypocrite? That's incredibly illogical to condemn him for that. However, Lieberman does have flaws; mainly, because he spends his time criticising the entertainment industry. Give them a break, man! Also, isn't he himself divorced from his first wife?
thornvv 03/20/2002
OK Senator (for a Dem), lousy VP candidate. Permanently constipated.
Solenoid DH 02/25/2002
I'd rather put up with someone like Ted Kennedy, who proudly identifies himself as a liberal, than someone like Lieberman, who makes traditionalist statements, then votes the opposite way. If he's on the right side of the issues, why does he have to be such a liar?
ellajedlicka21 09/22/2001
He shouldn't support censorship.
Rusty 06/12/2001
While he's a bit inconsistent on his views on abortion (he supports a woman's right to choose but doesn't believe in it personally, thereby opening himself up to charges of political wishy-washiness), Joseph Isidore Lieberman is a voice of reason and compassion in the Senate. Connecticut will go far with Lieberman at their helm.

One of the sweetest American Politicians of today. He is smart, honest, and a great public speaker. He has a lot of integrity and charisma and is by far, my favorite vice presidential candidate of all time. Democrats would be smart to run him for the presidency in 2004.
sheepsclothing 05/19/2001
All I can say is he is slick enouth to contaminate, and pull the wool over John McCains eyes. H must be really a good politican. He has helped attribute a large block of votes going away from McCain next election. I expect his actions, not McCains. They both ran against the Bush Camp before, I wonder who will be the Demo candidate for Pres John or Joe? The other can be the VP nominee!
Equality 04/10/2001
Joe is one of the worst panderers I have ever seen, I can't stand people that use their Faith for votes.
CastleBee 04/04/2001
I'm sure he's sincerely sincere about being seen as sincere. However, it would help if he could manage to rid himself of his ever-present phony baloney cat-that-ate-the-canary smile. Worse by far is that he apparently lacks the courage of his convictions - making him just another run of the mill politician.
Howard 02/03/2001
Since everyone (but a few knowledgeable people) claim that Gore/Leiberman "stole" the election, and the republican chant that "all the votes were counted and recounted, yada yada yada), I felt it necessary to put my two cents in - The votes were not recounted and recounted, and for libby bloom who can only compare the election to a ball game, I ask this: since when does the team with the least points, win the game?
runner100 02/02/2001
Good guy, but chose sleazy and lying people to support. To bad he had to sink so low.
Rock 02/02/2001
Lieberman is not a hypocrite. His stands on all the major issues (freedom of choice, the environment, faith based programs, the military, economics, etc) have never changed. Try reading beyond the rhetoric thats in all the media. As for abortion, some religions (and there are many others besides the far-right Christian groups) do not consider it murder...
noah 02/01/2001
A hypocrite of monumental proportions! To hear Joe Lieberman invoke the Will of God makes me sick. Here is a man who supports the continuing holocaust of abortion, yet tries to pass himself off as some sort of latter day prophet. Last time I checked, God was strongly pro-life, and frowned upon the murder of the innocent. I don't think treating God as nothing more than a political whore/election ploy will help Mr. Lieberman get through the pearly gates.
riggin 01/24/2001
Completely sold out for power. May God forgive him, I'm having trouble. He should not be in leadership!

It's sad that this moral person got sucked into the Clinton Gore scheme to socialize the country. In doing so he became a desparate sadsack like the other two.-----Feh

I have lost all respect for Joseph Lieberman. A demagogue who is dividing our nation! Shame on you, Joe!
Chil 12/12/2000
It's amazing what even a brief association with Bill Clinton and Al Gore can do to an otherwise apparently decent man. Joe Lieberman is supposedly the conscience of the Senate...big religious guy...high morals and such. Why, when offered a taste of self-aggrandizing power as Gore's running mate, did he summarily dismiss his morals and sell out just like Al Gore did? I recall a day when both of these men were Pro-Life. Exactly when did they decide it was good to murder babies? And why did they decide that? Lieberman has made arrogant and pious remarks lately stating how he is concerned with what Hollywood is putting into the minds of our children. He is perfectly okay, though, with abortion doctors putting suction tubes into the minds of partially born babies and sucking their brains out. Amazing. Lieberman is nothing more than an amoral sellout...just like Clinton and Gore. Lieberman is even worse, perhaps, because he prostituted his relatively solid reputation in his lustful grab for power. Clinton and Gore never had such reputations. Obviously, none of them have ever earned such reputations, and we have seen just how morally bankrupt and insidious these criminals are lately. Lieberman is a fraud.
FloridaVoter 12/10/2000
Spineless. Changed his colors to suit the Gore campaign. I give him no respect just because he espouses God at every turn- actions speak louder than words.
lat1taxi 12/09/2000
I used to have a great respect for Senator Lieberman but now his true colors have come out. He has changed his real beliefs so that they will fit in with Gore and assists Gore with his lies and illegal takeover attempt of this country.
libby bloom 12/01/2000
If you want to talk about cheating, look in the mirror Mr. Lieberman. The ballots were counted, recounted and recounted. Should we keep extending the time to allow the loser to win. It's like playing a game, when the game is over the game is over. In football, once the clock has run out, the coaches don't get to go back and ask for instant replays on questionable calls. The clock has run out, the game is over!!!
emmez78 12/01/2000
"Oh really, which 20 illegal tactics were they exactly? That's just more lies by the Democratic party to manipulate American's as they love to do. Look who'd pulling all the tactics change the electors, eliminate the electoral college altogether, just to win this election? Please open your eyes!"
VICPROD 11/30/2000
Hooray for Joe Lieberman finally calling the Bush brothers what they are. Cheating the vote in Florida every which way they could, the Bush brothers pulled about 20 illegal tactics during the election. Let's call is what it really is , FLORIDAGATE, as an illegal power grab by the Bush Brothers and now the Republicans. Way to Go Joe.
hdowns01 11/28/2000
What a sham this man turned out to be.People are always saying how religious and moral he is,what a joke.He got up infront of the Senate and said how morally wrong our president was but when it came down to the nitty-gritty he voted the party line against impeachment. He is like any democrat and will do and say anything to get elected.
yachtzot 11/28/2000
I AM SURPRISED THAT LIEBERMAN HAS STUCK WITH AL SNORE THROUGH HIS ILLEGAL ATTEMPT TO SIEZE POWER.LIEBERMAN HAS LOST THE MORAL HIGH GROUND THAT WAS HIS BEFORE AL SNORE CHOSE HIM AS RUNNING MATE.
Cassie94 11/27/2000
To put it simply an annoying man. Sounds like a real whinner. I would have more respect for him if he would try to persuade Gore to stop his temper tantrums and concede.
ChrisNJ 11/27/2000
Say it ain't so Joe! Your concience and voice of reason and moral authority have constantly worked to elevate the American culture. (Your Silver Sewer Awards are just one example). Now you've allowed yourself to be pimped-out by Al Gore for his personal political hubris. See your statement on the republicn "mobs" in Fla. Shame on you.
robertvero 11/25/2000
Should take himself of ticket with Gore to pre serve what little dignity he has left-amazing how good men sell their souls for power-abandon core beliefs he has put forward pre Gore-say it ain,t so Joe
whatever 11/20/2000
Before Lieberman was Gore's running mate, I thought he was somebody with personal integrity. He continously diminishes himself. On the campaign trail he gradually kept diminishing himself and now I see no integrity at all. How dare he,in league with Gore, take away the right to vote from young military people, how dare he rape the vote of the American people. I can never see backing him in any political forum ever again. He has devastated me.

What does this guy REALLY stand for? His position has changed with the wind. Just like Gore, he will stay whatever the crowd wants to hear. No firm stance.

Used to be a highly respected man...and could be again when he separates from the Clinton/Gore goonies. The man was very passionate about his issues until he opted to associate with the wrong crowd. He opted to trade his honor for political

He was CORRECT to rise on the Senate Floor and condemn Clinton for his "INEXCUSABLE ACTIONS" with regard to Ms Lewinsky. He was also CORRECT when he said: "POLITIONS SHOULD BE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD" But when it came time to vote for Clintons impeachment, he showed the world that he just another HYPOCRITE that refuses to live by his own words.
