Do not agree with most of his views. Fox news attack dog
Kitty77 10/28/2008
Arrogant, self important pompous ass-I honestly don't know how he stays on the air.
omnistuff 10/27/2008
Knocked down by surf and wind in a hurricane, he could have been washed out to sea. But, dammit, the sea was more wise, it spit him back to pollute the air waves once again. Oh well, maybe next time this self-styled "Warrior Journalist" will choose an erupting volcano to report on, from deep within.
LYNXSQUADRON45 10/27/2008
IF WE WERE SMART, WE SHOULDVE LOCKED IN AL CAPONE'S SAFE AND BEEN DONE WITH THIS TWERP
jimorama 10/27/2008
The Al Capone fiasco should have sent him into media oblivion...
Yet...like a lichen or fungus...he lives.
Moosekarloff 10/27/2008
Jerry Rivers. How this no-talent has kept in the public eye for over 35 years is a true wonder. He broke exactly one notable story in his journalistic career, which entitled him to coast for three decades, boring audiences and merely taking up airtime with his tiresome verbal flatulence. Ho-hum, Jerry. Do us all a favor and retire already.
Chalky 10/26/2008
Again, the only person more annoying than Geraldo is his brother, Craig Rivera. I was watching Geraldo on Fox a couple of weeks ago and his garage had burned down, and Craig was covering the story. geesh.
fb591051260 11/08/2007
it's taken some time but he slowly redeeming himselfas a LEGIT news correspondant
numbah16tdhaha 05/26/2007
The troops said it all when they gave him dirty butt handshakes...
Marlane 07/01/2006
But who would we laugh at if we didn't have him???
Ih8rateitall 03/24/2006
The way he gave away our boy's location, I was starting to believe that Rivera had joined Al-Queda!
Drummond 12/07/2005
He belongs at Fox.

You guys are way too hard on this guy. No he's not a saint and he certainly is an over-actor but the guy takes risks, not only career but life treating. Not only that... he got his brother on board to work as a cameraman for him in Afghanistan. Where else are you going to find a brother at the age of 50 that wants to drag your butt into one of the most dangerous places an American can find? I think too many of you think he's all hype but I think he is more of a loose canon. He didn't start out to be a reporter... not at all. He was an attorney and the first client he migrated to defend was the "Young Lords." That was a Puerto Rican group equivalent to the Black Panthers. Eventually they did something stupid and took over a Harlem church. He became the communicator between the news media and the group. That started his news career. He had the dirt on Marilyn Monroe and JFKs relationship but his boss, Roone Arledge refused to let the story air. Geraldo spoke out that Arledge is protecting his long time friend, JFK. Geraldo got fired. He's not stupid but his quest for the shocking is more important than his career or pay. He tore up the $30 Million contract with NBC so he could get imbedded in the war. He had another two years on his contract but no, he took a pay cut and went to Fox so he could go to war. I don't think there are many here that would give up a couple of million so they could go to war. I think a lot of liberals dislike him since he jumped ship. They though he was a closet conservative since he was right in the middle of the Clinton/Monica thing and then off to war to solidify his conservative agenda. He's not of that ilk. He's just for the underdog. It might take him into liberal grounds or conservative grounds. Same reason he wanted to be an attorney... to help out the underdogs, his Puerto Rican friends. I think someone that takes such risk deserves more than the terrible showing here. I guess we now respect those reporters and anchormen that biggest risk is eating at a deli instead of the five star restaurant around the corner from the network. Instead of a bunch of hired kids getting their break in journalism ducking the bullets in Iraq so they can feed you the story so you can sit in your plush office prepared to deliver the day's activities on the news, this guy, in his 50's, wants to see it first hand. He doesn't need the money and I don't think he even needs the recognition. I think he does however need the exhilaration and excitement. He has placed himself in such a way to be fed that adrenalin high almost daily.
irishgit 08/17/2005
Hilarious. I always figure his obnoxious doofus act is one of the cleverest money making schemes anyone on television ever came up with.
GenghisTheHun 08/17/2005
Well at least he is off the air!

He calls himself a journalist. Journalist! Journalist!.....LOL LOL!! This man is a piece of garbage. Geraldo to a man in prison who beat and terrorized his family....: Didn't you say you were going to chop off his (his children's loveing and decent stepfather) head and go to the bathroom in the neck hole? Criminal: (no response) Geraldo repeated the question SIX TIMES! I counted. Need I say more?
jaywilton 03/07/2005
His main contribution to society was to turn the OJ circus(trial) into a showbiz act which only promoted a bunch of low-life race hustlers.
tocwelsh 12/28/2004
What a nut case..............
Djahuti 10/14/2004
Another low life scandal monger- self righteous and conceited beyond belief. This man is a media prostitute.
jgls 01/22/2004
more style than substance, and his style sucks.
a1mc 11/24/2003
This man has lost common sence I think he needs to get out of TV and reporting maybe he will do better at map making.
ironlaw 07/05/2003
They should've left him in Iraq.
cunife 05/22/2003
I don't believe anything this man says.
BIGBABY 04/24/2003
The only mistake Fox News has ever made. Way, way over dramatic. He's one of those idiot reporters who have to have thier "15 minutes of fame on TV".
rej59 03/18/2003

psychoelvis 03/04/2002
I can't believe he didn't get shot or blown up in Afghanistan. I figured he'd get some "friendly fire"
Cynical Sam 02/20/2002
Rivera is a third rate journalist trying to make his mark as a second rate talk show host. He's smarmy, arrogant, and so incredibly full of myself that I find myself wishing the skinheads who broke his nose several years back had smacked him in the head with a baseball bat a couple of times just to teach him some much needed humility. Additionally, Rivera was recnelty exposed for the fraud that he is when his claim that he was shot at by Al Quaida or Taliban fighters while serving as a correspondent in Afghanistan was later proven to be false.
MileHiJP 06/18/2001
Good as an investigative reporter on 20/20 years ago. Bad as a talk show host.
Cosmo 02/13/2001
If there was a number lower that I could give this fellow I would. Saw him and Bill Maher on the same show talking about George Bush. Two idiots talking about a great man. They were taking pot shots at him acting all smug. I almost jumped through my set. Geraldo and Bill Maher are sickening.
Johnny Roulette 01/09/2001
Uh-uh, man! That goatee didn't fool me any! I knew it was you! Different station, different format, different facial hair pattern. You can run, but you can't hide, Geraldo. We know what you did. Better watch it...some skinheads gonna hit your nose with a chair again. haha I remember that. That was pretty funny. Oh, and, unlike Springer, you could sure as hell tell that that was real!.....by the way, why isn't Tom Snyder on this list? I really wanted to tease him about drooling over Jennifer Tilly's cleavage the last time she was on his show. That man is shameless, even if he wasn't alone in doing that. I'm sure there were a lot of guys up at that hour choosing her over infomercials.
STRONG 12/20/2000
Could have been great but turned into a camera hog. Now he's nothing more than a loser with his own Clinton approved show.
mcke3634om 01/13/2000
I think he and Jerry Springer should go back to the planet they came from! I think he is THE most unrespectable person in the business.
emer2737om 12/17/1999
I like him. He seems real and sincerely concerned about others. I remember reading praises for his behavior in Oklahoma City after the bombing. Many of the other news people were in the way, intrusive, arrogant, looking only for a scoop or pitiful scene.
k.di965du 11/07/1999
what a loser.
