Oprah every day gropes and feels up the pretty blonds on her show. Why she isnt arrested for public lewdness i dont know. She cant keep her hands off the prettiest blonds. She went overboard on the infamous bra show...pressed her boobs into the back of a young model while "adjusting" the models bra. I wonder what she asks of hot woman who want to be on her show in return for?
Jo-ann 12/01/2005
Oprah is kind and cares.I wish everyone could be like her!!!!! Oprah keep up the good work !!!!

She shouts and cribs and displays all motions of histrionics without saying anything real. She's a sham.

I think oprah is amazing... it is truly sad to see people that might disagree with me. She is an understanding woman with rights and in the past she has helped so much. She has even donated sooo much money to renovate New Orleans isnt that sweet.... its not for her benifit.... its for the people,...She had a bad past that she still carrys and all she wants to do is understand and show people that are or have been in her shoes... she is showing people how she appriciates what she has and that is what the people (rich people) should think like. She has been a big impact in peoples lives and maybe not so much. hopefully all of you will see her the way i do in my eyes.

She makes my skin crawl. The women in the audience fall over each other just to kiss her fat ass. So full of herself...can't flip the channel fast enough. Maybe she an Martha can pudding wrestle...Martha can make it and Oprah can eat it..........

I still think she has it in her to do more great things for a multitude of people. But I also agree that she's become increasingly full of herself. It's alright to have pride in what one has accomplished and one's wealth. But for her to be so "in your face" about her wealth, her personal extravagance, and the people she knows (name-dropping just isn't classy) leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I miss the old Oprah - the woman of substance who seemed genuinely concerned about the welfare of others. Sadly, the new Oprah has become egotistical. Nothing proves this more than her O Magazine where the only cover model is, guess who?

TWO STARS FOR OPRAH because she has become too self-important. The Oprah Winfrey show is a spin-off of the much maligned and sorely missed bleeding heart liberal Phil Donahue. I judge the quality of a talk show by its audience and host, not its ratings. The hosts play an important part in that they are selected to appeal to a certain segment of the population. The Maury Povich and Jerry Springer Shows for example have high ratings and appeal to a highly dysfunctional mixed gender {mostly no collar} audiences based on the topics and guests. The Phil Donahue Show's audience was a reflection of middle class America. Oprah started out with a similar audience and topics, devoid of gloss. I stopped watching her years ago, right before the Cover or Oprah became more important than its Content or issues The Nation magazine has been replaced with glossy People and Vogue. Topics that covered important issues, once the mainstay with Phil and Oprah, left with the white & blue collar, low and high tech jobs on fast boats, planes or internet connections to China and India. Oprah and her in studio audience went through a major transformation. It is the extreme opposite of the Maury and Jerry crowd, but not the Donahue crowd. She offers some topics that appeal to a wide segment of the population, but it lacks credibility because she and her in studio audience and guests all play too much to the cameras. Oprah loves Oprah is evidenced by her love affair with the cameras. Her eyes are full of self approval and self adoration for what her new found wealth bought, STARDOM and beauty. Her uptown crowd has eyes full of adoration for the very rich and very artificial Oprah and her equally artificial and superficial celebrity guests. She has far too many celebrities {not my cup of tea}. There is Oprah, celebrities, more Oprah and a few I make you feel good and I care about you programs as a lure and thank you to the stay at home audience that made her very rich. She is now a DIVA with an EGO. She got upset in Paris, France because a store, would not grant the diva the special attention she is accustomed to because of her new found wealth. Upscale stores in Europe close at an established time Ce la vie mon cherie. Hush {I let you in on a little secret, Europeans especially the french differentiate between old and new wealth. One is associated with class the other is not, one flaunts it the other does not.{Viva La France and the connoisseurs of quality Wine}. Talking quality, I tuned in one time and she had an American Idol contest without age limits. The winner was a mature black woman with a voice so rich and beautiful it made Fox's American idol winners sound common. My latest observation is that she must have been a big fan of little Shirley Temple. The cameras now zoom out at the proper time. Get real, Oprah Winfrey has died a long time ago, long live OPRAH of HARPO, she is laughing all the way to the bank because most people don't know the difference between what is fake and what is genuine. I am fully aware of her philanthropy. {It is expected} of all that join the wealth club, she is after all a billionaire. Keep in mind it is a mere fraction of her obscenely easily gotten wealth. P.S. Phil Donhue still merits five stars for staying true to his convictions and not selling out.

Hello Oprah Winfrey, You ROCK! Your philanthropist efforts have not gone in vain. And, I applause your personal achievements. So how about assisting my friend, iyengar yoga teacher, tony eason in his efforts to provide AIDS Awareness, AIDS Services, AIDS Education, and AIDS Treatment to those who need them. In June 2005, for my 8th Year, I will participate in an event to benefit the S.F. AIDS Foundation called AIDS Life Cycle #4. Each year, I cycle 575 miles (from San Francisco to Los Angeles). And each year, I complete the ride knowing I did the right thing. This year, as I cycle those 575 miles, I will share my experiences via an audio blog. http://ynottony.com http://ynottony1.blogspot.com/ Tony Eason would like the acknowledgement and presence of Oprah Winfrey in AIDS Life Cycle #5 - 2006. Similar to Tracy Chapman's involvement with AIDS Life Cycle #3 - 2004, the acknowledgement and presence of Oprah Winfrey in AIDS Life Cycle #5 - 2006 would provide indescribable benefits for the success of the AIDS Life Cycle Event, AIDS Awareness, AIDS Education, AIDS Services, and AIDS Research. Thank you in advance for your humanitarian and philanthropist efforts, and keep up the good work! Iyengar yoga teacher, tony eason

i admire and respect this lady very much simply for the fact that while it's easy for someone of her wealth to just splurge on shopping sprees for herself in beverly hills, she gives back to society and the world all together both financially and with her entertaining show

Oprah is a great lady. Her show is not trashy, she is always giving something to someone. She is rich and still cares for people. There are things she has done for people that you will not hear about. But she keeps on giving. A great lady. We need more shows like her's on the air.
White Diamond 06/05/2005
I used to really like Oprah but when she decided that she ranked up there with Mother Theresa in the humanitarian department, that didn't fly. On the one hand she tries to show how qualifed she is to help people with their problems, then the next show, she's flaunting all the extravagant things she has and does. Think Oprah has gone 'Hollywood' with her new weight loss and glamorous look. Never watch her.
pwright1 05/14/2005
For those who say she doesn't do enough for the black cause is just talking sh*t. She not only gives more to the black cause than anybody on earth, but she does more for all people. And the car giveaway, so what if she didn't pay for the cars. Did the people get the cars on the OPRAH SHOW? Yes. She was responsible for the cars getting to the people. I love her show. I don't see how people can talk sh*t about somebody who has helped more people, more causes than anybody. And for black people to say she needs to do more for disadvantaged blacks, teen pregnacy or whatever, believe me she has done more than her fair share and continues to do more. She has sent more disadvantaged african american kids to college than anyone. People wake up, and african americans giving her one star and saying negative things about her, you should be ashamed.
Lexia 03/29/2005
Oh, Oprah(unamused sigh). Everytime I see her show she's going to some overpriviledged white neighborhood and buying them groceries and fixing their houses. I have never seen her go to a black neighborhood to do that. But then I just guess she has to suck up to her viewers. She is the epitome of overratedness. I have seen a couple of shows that have touched me (this is the only reason for the 2nd star). Other than that I think she needs to relate more to black people cuz all I see her doing is imitating whites. She should take some of those billions of dollars and help rebuild some of our communities , and make programs for some of these teenage moms or something. I don't know, I just don't dig her, and can she please stop it with the plastic surgery, her current look is just fine (stay that way girl). Im not a fan.

Oprah Winfrey makes me sick. I hate everything about her. Her ego is almost as big as that fat head of hers. I hate the way she puts her pie-face on the cover of EVERY SINGLE ISSUE of her stupid magazine. I hate the way she devotes entire shows to what's in Oprah's closet. I hate the way she brags about her friendships with people like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts (untalented hacks in my opinion). I hate the way she dictates what constitues quality literature by using her book club to fling heart-warming stories of life's little triumphs at us. I hate the way she says You go girl. I hate the way she condescends to her audiance with that smug, self-superior attitude of hers. I hate the way she tried to take credit for giving away all those cars when they were DONATED by the car company as a publicity-stunt. I hate her for her role in the oversaturation of political correctness in this country. I hate the way she simplifies the most complex emotions to Hallmark card sentimentality. I could go on for the rest of the day but I'm now running out of time. Bottom line: she sucks and so does all the white, middle-class housewives who so blindly follow everything she does.

Could this women be any more fake? I understand you have to be civil to people when hosting a TV show but Oprah sucks up too much to people you know she doesn't like. Everytime I cut in a Oprah with a top billing star I have to watch and see how much she lies. Same everytime OH you are my absolute favorite ________. Fill in the blank with Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Nicole Kiddman and anyone that has ever been on the show. That is just the four I saw. Sure it applies to all others. How can everyone be her favorite? And she pretended to give those cars away. Not that she could not afford to but General Motors gave those away as a PR stunt. Oprah was more than happy to act as if she gave them away and most of the media gave her credit for it.
fgsltwthghobs 11/13/2004
Obviously, the Oprah Winfrey show has many, many viewers. Unfortunatley, Oprah has sold out to the New Age Religion and has many idolizers. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. He alone, is your personal savior and mediator. And although Oprah has done many good works, Jesus' death on the cross was works enough. Salvation is a gift, not earned, albeit faith (in Jesus Christ) is dead without works. Oprah has succumbed to the world views and has left the unchanging Word behind. As a role model to many unsaved, Oprah is another wolf in sheep's clothing.

I belived that oprah has a woundful show. What I like about the show is that she take time to help others, but most importantly she let others story be told in a much better way than any other talk show. I have been looking at oprah from the time that she frist came out. I will say that their are times I have miss some of her show but when every I have the time I do look at the show. I love her and I love her show. Suznae charles

Oprah is a wonderful role-model. She is definitely a blessing to millions of people. She has definitely been a blessing to me. I started watching Oprah as a small African American child growing up in Little Rock, AR. My parents were both very busy professonals (both physicians) so Oprah was somewhat of an after-school sitter. I would always come home from school, take my school clothes off, get a snack and then start watching Oprah. I was always amazed at how connected she was to her viewers and the audience. I graduated from high school valedictorian and was offered a full scholarship to the Ivy League Cornell University in Ithica, New York. I was a Pre-Med Biology/Psychology double major and it was very difficult at times but I managed to graduate Magna Cum Lade and was accepted into Harvard Medical School first round. At Harvard I met a very wonderful, smart, worldly and attractive Italian/Brazillian man whom I married. We both graduated from Harvard Medical School and are both very successful physicians (Psychiatrist & Radiologist). We have 2 very beautiful gifts from God (Chloe Celeste and Conner Kegan) our children. Oprah, along with my parents and my network of positive-impacts friends are the reasons why I am so successful now. I am a great person, I eat right and exercise daily, I look great, I am educated, I love my profession, I have the greatest husband and kids, greats friends and family, a beautiful new home, and a great spiritual connection with God. I couldn't ask for more in life. I am truly blessed and Oprah is one of the reasons for me being where I am today. Thank you Oprah, Dr. P. C. St. John-Castillas

I Love Oprah! I have been watching for as long as I can remember. I think I first started writing her about 18 years ago. I tried to get my daughter on the show. Now I have been trying to get on the show to talk about my autobioaugraphy Free To Be Me. I was molested from age 9 to 13 and buried 2 husbands. I have saurvived breast cancer twice 1994, and 1999. I have managed to keep my sanity after surviving 2 very abusive relationships. I am now very happily maried with 5 chilren and 9n gradchildren. I'm a licensed ordained minister telling my story of grace and mercy. Encouraging people that no matter what the challenge they can make it happen for them. It takes courage and determination. I know that Oprah looks for a certain type of person and story and I haven't been able to be that person. Even though I have sent my book twice and even sat in the audience for one of her shows. That particular day she didn't even give away a cold drink! I guess it just wasn't my time. But I do know that God has promised my that I will encourge men and women all across the country and that I would be on her show. So I have no doubt that when the time comes I will be on the Opah Winfrey Show. Peace and Love Thanks for the opportunity to share! Fran Kelley

She is a great journalist, she asks all the question everyone is too weak and too powerless to ask! All Oprah has to do is mention her dislike for anything and it will bankrupt the industries that sell it and shake the economy. Get over yourselves people and give honor where it is due. Oprah is the most powerful women in America, go ahead and swallow that and as for her using her name on all her business ventures that's good business because her name will sale anything (even dried dog poop). As for her christian avoidance thing I am positive it has something to do with her million dollar contracts, because I know she's a christian. What's going on with her show is alot more complicated than people know. She is on all of her covers because models cost big bucks and she runs a tight ship, why pay a model when you can do it free. Oprah deserves everything she has, she came from the back waters of mississippi, near poorest of the poor, outhouses etc....She has a big heart to go along with all that big money. update---A book club is about enjoying reading, not about reading tight-ass ultra-intellectual toilet paper so you can show everyone how supposedly smart you are! O's book club is important in the right ways.

I totally dislike Oprah, and never watch her show, I dislike her mainly because I get so sick of hearing her 'we' stuff, as in 'we love cashmere, we love Mercedes' etc etc etc. Well, yes we do Ms Winfery, but WE are not billionaires, and WE can't afford them!! I think she has lost touch with the average woman, anyone who HAS to purchase a $50 million mansion in California, is NOT in touch with your average American woman. As for giving away the cars, that was not all that big a deal, she MADE the car company DONATE them, not one dime came out of her BILLION dollar checking account! I would have been impressed if SHE had coughed up the money, what is $7 million to her??? She has millions and millions of dollars in cars, homes, luxury items, and that would not have killed her at all, but no, she is too into herself to actually spend her money on anyone else, and those poor people who got a car, now they have to cough up thousands for taxes, and I had understood that they were poor and could not afford cars to begin with--what a crock. BUT, that said, she did get her fat face on EVERY newscast, either broadcast or cable, that day, so, she is just as good as Britney Spears at self promoting herself on the backs of others.
who knew 09/14/2004
I dislike Oprah for many reasons, but one of the biggies is for her junior-high level book club for her soccer mom fans. I loathe condesention, and don't see why she has to pretend to give a damn about literature, when really all she wants to do is nurse the esteem challenged into buying her books. I hate how she never really discusses anything- when she had Sting on her show, did she ask a musician about his music? No, she asked him how often he and his wife had sex. And naturally, he's such a great husband and good to his mom, and all the women were fawning all over him. And yes she does give a lot of gifts- cars, etc, but she always MAKES SURE the WORLD KNOWS about it. Her birthday party was obnoxius, and I find her constant filming of herself obnoxius as well (Africa et al). And worse of all is to think how she began her show with the white trash topics back in the '80's when she and Donahue ran the shows, and now she exploited people only so she could exploit more insecure, overweight, whiny housewives. She has contributed to the PC generation where no one talks about anything in depth, save for emotions, (and only emotions!) and no one surely criticizes her. I wish she would just be a talk show host, rather than trying to be a saint. I find her act phony and one that is in such a desperate need to be liked- (will you be my friend? I'll give you a car if you say yes). And lastly, I dislike her for her promotion of the despicable Maya Angelou, a woman who is incapable of writing anything above cliched, trite, Hallmarkian doggerel. And of all the poets to speak about THIS is who she picks. Why not speak of Gwendolyn Brooks (who died in 2000) who was actually a good poet, won the Pulizer, and not to worry, fulfills her 'black woman' quota. Does anyone know when she will finally go away?

I never liked her. All she is for is the Soap-watching, Bon-Bon-eating, neighbor spying housewife. I loved when she used the I'm Every Woman song for her intro. Her there Oprah..you are not every woman. Not every woman makes 40 million a year and has 4 homes across the country. WHAT I CAN NEVER FIGURE OUT IS ..as egotistical and ME ME ME that she is, the women in the crowd kiss her A** like there's no tomorrow. Why don't you try to be like Every Woman Oprah and marry your 20-year boyfriend and stop being a money-hungry, paranoid, self-absorbed, greedy B*tch !!

I used to love Oprah when she was on in the early to mid 90's (I was probably too young to know any better then) I find that over the past few years she has morphed into trying to be like a new-age guru spouting her wise , liberal, new-age idealogies I give her credit for actually working to get where she is but I lost all respect for her when A victim of Sept 11th(who was a christian) was not allowed to mention his christian beliefs in relation to his story so he chose to back out of the interview.
nicolef 07/20/2004
Let me start off by saying I really love Oprah Winfrey and I think she is a total blessing to our nation. Lately, however she has simply been BRAGGING TOO MUCH. Let me explain, on one of her after hour shows a women asked if she could have a hydrangea that was placed in front of the cooking counter where her chef was making food. Oprah said yes and then went on to say that she has planted 4,000 of them on her property in California and that she isn't making $10,000 a year anymore. Another time is when Oprah stated that she had someone count all of the trees on her California estate and it totaled 600 trees. Also, she asked Puff Daddy what kind of linens he sleeps in and he said the same thing you sleep in (which she let everyone know was 1,000 thread Egyptian cotton sheets). We love you Oprah and we know you are very, very wealthy (billionaire) but tone down all the bragging about your conspicuios consumption remarks as it is certainly a turn off to me and I am sure others.

If the woman's ego gets any bigger, she'll need to be hoisted in by a crane. I mean Oprah book club, Oprah Magazine, Oprah diet, Oprah latch hook kit, Oprah holiday package, Oprah How to kick men video series, Oprah Expandable waistband clothing, Oprah Fabulously Rich Sweepstakes. Oprah typical liberal blowhard lessons. Give us a break.

Oprah is somewhat of a drama queen. She makes a big deal out of everything. She makes mountains out of molehills. For example, She tries pathetically to imply that teens with piercings are bad. That is very hypocritical of her to do when her show is geared towards people who have been victims of stereotyping. Oprah needs to increase her intelligence. Saying teens who have piercings and thongs are bad is just as bad as saying All Jewish people are bad. Also, Oprah advocates parents looking through their teenager's diaries. What ever happened to privacy? Also, Oprah tells a lot of false lies on her show. Her show is propaganda. Very pathetic.
fdfd 07/08/2004
Oprah sucks for sure. She's the most racially biased person in the entire world. That's why 99% of her viewers and audience are women and the other 1 % are husbands being dragged on the show. She fights for women's rights but tramples on men. I just saw an episode of Oprah where she helped a woman force her fiancee to redecorate her house because SHE didn't like it, and made fun of it on TV, saying he has beer can collections, pinball machines blah blah blah and the audience laughs and ridicules it. Hey, that b*tch whatever your name was, if you hate your fiance's way of life so much, and he's so ridiculous, why did you agree to marry him? That's just plain wrong to agree to marry someone and then try to completely change their life to fit you because you want to live in a place that's elegant and sexy. Here's a news flash... IT'S HIS HOUSE!!!! GET YOUR OWN PLACE IF YOU DONT LIKE IT YOU WH0RE! And Oprah is on TV championing such trash. I hope both of you women get a vaginal infection and die!

OPRAH as a lady , Not oprah as a show .. yes the show should make some profits after all this what all business about .. but She is a human and we all must admit that she have touched our hearts at least once .. she have got a sence of humor , straight forward and most of all an emotion .. to feel and get into someone your talkin to is really not an easy job to do .. to explore a person is tough and requires a hell of skills .. guys i know she looks really funny without her make up .. but she at least wassen't shy to show her self in public without wearing make up .. ? isn't she barve and budled with a high level of self- confiedence ? god bless her ..

She is incredable. She has paid her dues to reach the level of succes seen. She is a journalist and a great one. This is a lady that gave her best friend a million dollars! She gives back - she can chose HOW I would think. Many folks earning her wages DO NOT GIVE BACK. Aren't we being alittle pickey to criticize her in this regard? How many people give their best friend a million? She had everthing stacked against her in accomplishing what she continues to - I wish her well and much continued success.
