Windbag,pompous,too much hair, once a week would be tolerable, phoney portentious, a sop to contrived caring and concerned issue gluttons. This is apparently the best American news networks can do for analysis and thoughtful jounalism. Koppel's extended monologues and presumptous loaded questions make Bill Moyers look almost balanced. A thousand years ago when news was 10 seconds long per story, Ted seemed relevant. Now that some of us have learned how to read and think at the same time, his pontificating condescending arrogance and make-believe intellectual breadth shows up as contrived and biased to a degree that he is unwatchable and passe. His swan song was reading the list of soldiers killed in Iraq. Monumentally stupid and useless routine that contributed nothing to knowledge and issues except an invented sense of gravitas and earnestness. This guy is from another age when pretending to know and pretending to care make you important. He's not. Send him to the hom.

USUALLY ENJOY MR. KOPPELS' SHOW. HAS INSIGHT AND IS NOT HEAVILY BIASED. I CAN LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS MAN.

I guess the one time I did a short review (“Yawn”) didn’t really say it last year. So let me just say that this guy puts me to sleep at about the same rate as say – Kevin Costner and Gary Cooper. Just as they are/were passable actors, Ted is probably a good newscaster. He’s just BORING! Zzzzzz...

My vote of 1 is more for the show than for Koppel himself, although I believe he has alot of say-so about the content. Polluters have been allowed time to "explain" their actions on the show. Corporate reps have had their say on the show. Although we're in a time of real trouble here at home, there is no real investigation of nuclear waste, genetically modified foods, lack of health care for millions of America, even lack of FOOD for millions, Etc.ad nauseum. It is a waste of the PUBLIC airwaves!
