Abercromie & Fitch is not rascist or preppy. It may be overpriced to some, but obviously people are willing to spend an average of $30 a shirt considering how well Abercrombie is doing. Yes, the music is loud, and yes, the lighting in the store isnt the best, but it gives the store atmosphere. They pump perfume through the vents, but the smell is nice and most people love it. The quality of their clothes are good, and I personally love how their clothes are cut. Abercrombie & Fitch is basically your average, upscale teen clothing store, but it is their "cool" image that sets them apart. If this image is offensive to some, consider the fact that every model you see today is over 5 ft. 8 and is a size 2. This isn't fair, but it's fashion.

Abercrombie isnt racist at all. I dont even know what your talking about. im black too, and i think that if you cant afford to buy the clothing then you shouldnt shop there. its designer so its going to be over priced. There not racist maybe other nationalities dont go out and model for them in the first place. duh! if someone's pretty there going to be on something, and if someone's not they wont. common sence people.
marrisalovessh opping 10/13/2007
I absolutely love this store. The music is not loud like other people say. The cologne the people spray around the store smells really good and the store is NOT RACIST. Just today when I went to A&F I saw 2 ads with a black women on it. Im like "mom, is that a black person on that ad", and shes like yes and theres another one over there. I was like some of the people reviewing this store needs to stop putting their foot in their mouths. The prices are not that bad either. Also the people that work their are really nice and helpful and I'm black so probably none of them are racist. I also saw graphic tees there on sale for 10 dollars. Tell me that is not expensive. I will say I love this store. The only people that bash this store are the people that have never been to the store or have never worn their clothing.
cocoH 08/27/2007
Abercrombie is exceptional. My only complaint is the loud music. It should be a little lower, and well...Maybe a little better- house music is for guidos and club heads. The clothe they use for their clothing is of good quality, and the stitching is nicely done as well. I'd just like to bring it to anyone's attention that Abercrombie is casual luxury. Yes, luxury, they're not aiming for a low budget lifestyle. Abercrombie also owns Hollister. Hollister is just casual, and cheaper than Abercrombie. Also, neither of these stores are preppy. It seems like people these days have a misconception as to what "preppy" is. Preppy is more of a lifestyle than it is clothes. But, if we must get down to crucial labels. It's Vineyard Vines, J. Crew, L.L. Bean, Lacoste, Lilly Pulitzer, Ralph Lauren, and so on. While some of Abercrombie's clothes are clean cut and appealing to some preppy people. Abercrombie's image is tarnished and almost hypocritical to the preppy community, because that is the clothes worn by the people they dislike- the people that think they're preps.
svgdgfs 07/31/2007
they r so racist. they only have blonde and white models. no black, asian, or indian models. hitler would be proud.racist idiots only shop there.
Vladimir 06/15/2007
Best quality clothing. Love the Music and atmosphere. People who complain about being over priced well it only says CASUAL LUXURY, so if you can't afford or read don't fucking shop there. I'm Mexican and I see alot of other nationalities there. So for all you people who say they are racist your just insane, and you got the racist problem. Seems like to me when you seen the price tag you bounced and assumed all this other stuff, other wise you would have continued to buy something. One more thing the clothing is based on a PREPPY LIFE STYLE A.k.A collage them. So for all the people that complain about showing to much skin or it's whore looking don't buy it and don't look at it.

i love a&f there clothes are the coolest!

I have worn Abercrombie & Fitch clothing for seven years now and it has never let me down. The styles usually appeal to me, and the selection of those styles is usually great enough that I can always find something in the store that I like, usually a good deal of stuff I like during one shopping session. The fit is one of the best characteristics of A&F. Muscle fit has been around for over five years now and has always worked well for me. Your mileage may vary. Classic fit has also impressed me, even though it is looser than muscle fit. Usually the salespeople are friendly and helpful. I've found they are much more amicable than those at competitors such as Gap. The stores are also well presented with the right balance of low lighting and precision layout. A lot of people like to complain about the price of Abercrombie & Fitch, but I always say that one only gets what he pays for. I have items from Abercrombie dating back to 2000 that still look great. One of them, a ski jacket, gets daily use during roughly four months of the year (and has been worn heavily since 2000). It shows no signs of aging. The same goes for some of the older polo shirts I still have. In addition, the fit is worth the price (at least for me). Also, most items come in a very nicely sized shopping bag. These bags are great for storage--I have about a half dozen A&F bags in my closet right now holding stuff in lieu of shelves. The entire shopping experience at A&F, which includes the subsequent wearing of the clothes, is probably the best out there for anyone who appreciates classic style clothes. The polos are by far my favorite item, with the wovens not far behind.
Gloomyeeyore 05/08/2007
Their clothes are too expensive.
JellyBellyElli e 05/07/2007
I love abercrombieandfitch. But Hollister has better prices and sales. But still abercromie has more safisticated cloths. It's hard to choose...
kimeye989 04/22/2007
their clothes are way too overpriced and they never have any sales and even if it is a sale its regualr price somewhere else...theres no point
gmram11 01/22/2007
I'm Mexican and I go to Abercrombie all the time and nobody ever stares at me or acts like I don't matter. In fact most of the people are really nice there. I've seen short people, asians and latinos working there so I don't know why all of you guys think they're racist. YOu guys just need to stop being paranoid and enjoy they're awesome clothes, which by they way are pretty good quality and you're definitely getting what you paid for
kolby1973 11/13/2006
I still think A&F rocks. In recent years I have noticed there are quite a few clones popping up, American Eagle, etc. Good try. None of these clones will ever be as good as A&F. And as always...the added bonus is the awesome music and hot guys all over the walls while you shop...you can't beat that...
Momsandpopscal lmeJoe 09/27/2006
Their clothes arent fool peeps like me. Their clothes are too...preppy. I like clothes that allow me to breathe not too tight and it got to look good to. Besides A&F clothes are for the pretty boy type and that aint me...im more of a ruffneck type...check out my pic in my homepage.
rednailrock 09/16/2006
I like there clothes, but there sizes are way to small!I am not fat but i am a little overwieght and in that store there extra smalls don't fit my skinny 8 year old sister. I still go there because thats the style now and i don't mind there clothes, but for me its really hard to fit into there clothes. So i am 12 and i buy and extra large when i would usally be buying a medium or large
Peggahh 08/23/2006
From what I've read you all seem pretty mad at A&F. I don't understand, you all say "oh I don't care" but you must if you are bashing it. Look, they have cute clothes and they fit a lot of body shapes. My friend is very very thin and fits, while I am average and fit perfectly into an XS. It is great for pre and regular teens, and the clothing are expensive, but if you can't afford them just don't shop there! I am not dissing anyone but you all complain about Abercrombie when it's a perfectly fine store. And the one in my mall isn't racial at all. HELL, we have female asians WORKING there so stop bitching. I'm greek and they've never said a thing, in fact my sister is very very tan and greek as well, and they welcome her with open arms, they want her to work there in a year. Therefore, my conclusion is that if you don't like it, ignore all the girls who come in and out of there. I'll tell you most of them are very kind and caring, the clothes are very comfortable and last you years. Why not buy them? =]
abercrombiehat er 08/05/2006
Everytime I go inside Abercrombie, every single person in the store stares at me like they haven't seen an asian guy before......bastards btw, Im Viet
ShiftyNermal 04/17/2006
Ohh boy. I admit, I like the clothes. The first time I saw one of their polo shirts, I knew I wanted it. Then I looked at the price. They took me to the hospital where I had a triple bypass surgry....or well, it sure felt like it anyway. WAY overpriced, when I could have easily went to AE and got a similar polo for a good 40 dollars cheaper. If I want anything from A&F, I go to Ebay, where you can buy brand new A&F clothing for seriously 1/5th the price at the retail store.
roro80o72 04/06/2006
i like A&F it has good quality clothes you just gotta look for something you like i saw things i didnt like but i got a pair of jeans that lasted me for so long i have to agree it is weird when people buy everything they have there i usally buy 3 things from A&F ayear usally just something cute and not that expensive there prices can be outrageous i know but if you buy a 40 dollar skirt then go to hollister and get a 15 dollar shirt ther you go and if you dont like it there dont shop there its a personal choice where you shop
russilovncutie 03/30/2006
No way! Their labeled vintage costs way too much! I'm not some stingy-ass who buys clothes at the goodwill, but I dont think the material and designs used to make abercrombie clothes costs the price people have to pay to buy it. A $75 hoodie better lasts forever and feel so damn good, it's like I died and went to heaven. I guess people love A&F because the company advertises primarily young, good-looking (not all of them), athletic, all-American, preppy white people. So folks think, " It's hot to buy Abercrombie because I can look like those white models..." But in reality, it's a bunch of poor-quality, racist garbage that I wouldn't spend a penny on, even if I happen to go into the outlet store. Paying too much money for something with holes in it and has some cheesy, snobby-sounding label to it; like hell I will.
gamerman 02/26/2006
Abercrombie & Fitch are racist bastards!! Why would you create shirts to degrade another ethnic group? Because the shirt is comfortable and snuggly? I'd rather wear a $2 dollar cheap walmart shirt than wear that racist garbage! :(
TheDanishTitan 01/10/2006
I don't understand why people insist on shopping there and then bashing the hell out of it. If you don't appreciate their style, don't shop there. If you don't like what their models look like, don't shop there. If you don't like the music or the smell or the prices or the associates or whatever then don't shop there. The staff can be a little conceeded, but if you want the Abercrombie logo, you have to deal with them and their prices. My advice is to do what I do. I started shopping at Hollister a lot. Their sales people are a lot more people friendly, I am a brand rep there and it is such a fun place to work. I enjoy shopping at Abercrombe and Fitch but you can get clothes that are alomost the exact same at Hollister for about jalf the price.
Abercrombie and Fitc 12/30/2005
AWESOME. they have awesome, timeless colledge apparel. The quality is great. WAY better then american eagle. that store is garbage. A&F offers a shopping exsperience like no other. From there upbeat music to their sexy young models (who cares if there not wearing cloths.Sex sells better than cloths. what are u peole afraid of sex appeal)The in-store exsperence is great. Hey if your to poor to shop here dont complain. get over it and go to that crap store ae. only affluent, sexy young people should shop at A&F. peace kids
mikeholly93 11/14/2005
Perverts who sell skimpy clothes to young pre-teen girls and sold shirts that bore anti-Asian racial slurs and stereotypes of Asians.
BowChikaWowWow 10/23/2005
I use to like this store a few years ago but now think its rediculas i mean come the frick on there prices are fricken rediculas they go up all the time you cant get jeans for less then 70 most of them are more and i do like some of them but would never pay that much and for some reason the ripped ones and the ones that look crappier cost more which i dont get but all there sweat shirts are atleast 70 tshirts area atleast 30 polos atleast 40 or 50 shorts atleasst 60 and the store reaks of sent my eyes started to water in there once and all there prices keep going up i mean they use to price there clothes like other stores in the mall but now its more of a high end store and there are those stupid people who everything they own comes from there and those stupid people mostly fat whho have to have a tshirt that says abercrombie and then the people who go in searching for the cheapest thing they can find in there just so they can own something from there its really pathetic oh and it seems as if old navy kind of copys there style except in tshirts so if you like there more simple stuff check them out for atleast half the price
jackieabby 09/01/2005
Used to shop here 4 years ago, now everything looks very juvenile. Like, if you're over 14, don't bother to shop here.
AEparadise 08/31/2005
Like how do you sell your clothes if your models aren't wearing anything? It's not as racist anymore.. and I have to admit that their stuff is cute... but some of those negative stuff still remains.
kate8408 08/13/2005
I used to shop at Abercrombie when about 5 years ago, when the quality was much better. Their customer service is horrible. Unless you're white and fit the look of their models, they don't care about you and won't help you at all (or even acknowledge that you're there). I think it's sad that this store is still popular, with their hiring polices of hiring people who fit the all American stereotype (a.k.a. white) and their racist tshirt slogans in the past. Why do people still support this store that obviously only cares about a certain sector of the population and sells overpriced low quality clothes to people who are brainwashed by their advertising to believe that these clothes are any good?
louiethe20th 08/03/2005
Only if your business likes faded and wrinkled clothes.
andi03 08/02/2005
i love a&f everything iown is from a&f or nordstroms i dont know why anyone would dislike a&f becsue everything about it is wonderful and preppy threads, and modest and classic looks for kids and a classic and preppy look for adults they make sure everyone can get their look men, women, boys, ang girls... most stores SMELL a&f is sooo fragrant and the employees are hot :)
veenat 07/12/2005
The clothes are way overpriced, not that great in quality, and the store experience is a nightmare. The employees are obnoxious skanks, the music gives me a headache, and the cologne that seems to reek in every store is horrible.
spifffranz 07/05/2005
They're ok. I approach AnF like any other store: I shop there and look for a bargain and if they fit my style. With that said, customer service needs some improvement. The appeal of the coveted or trendy brand can only last so long. Sooner or later, they will tank, lest they change that part of thier business.
rateitgal7 06/30/2005
Nice clothes, but I have to agree with andrew scott, their philosophy is selling their clothes by having their models not wear any at all. It's too overpriced, and what's up with their music? Over all, nice clothes but I'm not too comfortable about how bare the models are, and the clothes are expensive.
AndrewScott 05/25/2005
Seen an Abercrombie catalog? Their philosophy is trying to sell clothes by having their models not wear any. Same concept with the billboard on my way to work where the only piece of clothing you can spot is the top of someone's generic tighty whities. Just look at their mall storefront, and you'd think all they are trying to sell is a rotating set of male nipples. If you can get past their advertising, their overbearing logos, and the mega-wrinkled look, I suppose they have some cute designs for teenage sensibilities. It all looks really dang ridiculous on people over 25, though.
Mr.Political 04/13/2005
Whether you like it or not, Abercrombie & Fitch caters to a young, faux preppy (they are in no way truly preppy) demographic. This particular group pays for the name, not the quality or where the garment was made. Thus, you have an abundance of the brands logo on it's products. Or, you could do what my niece and nephew do and get your uncle to buy you everything there (lol). Bottom line- it's called marketing people, and it's making them quite successful.
singsplatsing 04/09/2005
The most evil store on the planet! Only skanky, shallow W.A.S.P.s shop here. The other day I was in a restaurant and some idiot walked in wearing a white shirt that said FITCH on it, nothing more. Bet he payed 20+ bucks for it too, tool. CLONING WILL ONLY FINISH OFF WHAT THIS STORE STARTED! GET A MIND OF YOUR OWN! DON'T WEAR CLOTHES WITH LOGOS ON THEM!
caphillsea77 02/28/2005
All I can say about Abercrombie is STUPID !!!! You can always count on overpriced wrinkled and ripped clothing, Maybe the rips in the jeans that they sell are a sign of future wear and tear as their clothes never last long anyway. It's like Ken and Barbie roughing it in the wilds.
rtrim5 02/28/2005
Good stuff. Love the shirts and the polos. But hate the poppin of the collar. Kevin Alves of Chatham, IL needs to stop poppin his collar. For the love of God! Pretty sweet clothes though.Big Fan.
BIGBABY 02/14/2005
My favorite clothing store. Great quality and its the perfect store for extreme preps like me. Walking into the store is like an instant orgasmic experience- fast, upbeat music, great clothes, and hot guys all over the walls!
Golden Bear 01/15/2005
Just had to join in the pile-on here. Between their sale of thongs for kids, racist T-shirts, and their legion of mindless suburban teenage devotees, this store represents everything wrong with the corporate retail industry. I can understand buying slightly ripped jeans, but what's with the pair I saw in the window of an A&F in an L.A. mall, that looked like a lawnmower ran over them? And why do they play thumping house music in their stores? It doesn't go with their frat-house image at all. Weird.
Specialboothvi cJr. 01/09/2005
Too pricey.
helmut 12/07/2004
If by high quality, you mean trendy, then yes, A & F is a high quality store. If by high quality you mean well made and durable, then it is average at best. I can put the worn look in my jeans my self. You know, by wearing them. And I'm SURE not going to pay extra for them to do it for me.
Seraph 10/30/2004
Very, very high quality clothes but at outrageous prices. I'd only go here as a treat. American Eagle has almost as good quality but cheaper. I'm also a little annoyed at the nude photos on the walls of the store.
MS103127 10/30/2004
Not a bad selection of products, but if you are on a budget, the total amount can add up quickly. In response to KrishnaSharana, Abercrombie and Fitch is an independent corporation. Old Navy is owned by Gap, Incorporated, which owns Gap, Gap Outlet, and Banana Republic.
GypsyPrincess 10/06/2004
Way too high priced for such trendy stuff, it will be out of style next season. And what's up with them selling kids thongs, weird!
kljhadf 10/02/2004
I like this store. I like the style and the quality is great. And by the way 'KrishnaSharana'.. Old Navy is not owned by A&F. A&F owns Hollister Co. Old Navy is owned by the Gap and Banana Republic.
KrishnaSharana 09/19/2004
This store may be OK for jeans and other items that you can use for years but is WAYYYYY too expensive for clothing that you want new every season(and you are going to get tired of the prints, colors and slogans, anyway). One tip: A&F and Old Navy are owned by the same corporation,so of course they make the clothes in the same line of production, and, interesting enough I have noticed that Old Navy carries the same style and quality of A&F with lower prices. So stop this trip of A&F logo everywhere , and give a look at Old Navy. I wouldn't say everything they do is great, but you gonna find some cool (and cheap) stuff over there.
dhihe44 08/29/2004
I completely agree with 'annaharris 227' and 'kolby1973'. I love this store!
Oxbmwxo 08/22/2004
I love A&F ... Thats al i really have to say. Why should people be judged where they shop? Just becuase i love all there cloths and shop there doesn't make me any less Differn't then you or the person in K-Mart... It's just i like the style and how the cloths fit...
LizzBoBizz 08/20/2004
the clothes are alright and i don't have anything against people who wear them. but i personally cannot handle the excessively loud music and the less than average customer service. i very rarely find anything i like so i don't shop there. though it seems like everyone else does
