She has the ultimate female country music voice.
twansalem 07/03/2008
Patsy Cline had a great voice, and she recorded some great songs, but for whatever reason, she just isn't one of my favorites.
trebon1038 06/22/2006
One of the best to ever grace us with her voice.
miketou 03/25/2006
As a black guy raised on "The Motown Sound", I've never enjoyed country music and didn't know who Patsy Cline was. Once I heard her voice, I was hooked. Her voice is simply beautiful and touches something in my heart. I'm still a Motowner, but Miss Cline is top of the line!
leah_michelle_ brown 07/17/2005
In my opinion, Patsy Cline(along with Hank Williams, Sr.) is the best singer to ever step foot on this green earth. She had a unique voice that had emotion. I mean, you could feel her pain in all of her songs. She's the greatest.
neverenough08 07/16/2005
people are always going to be talking about her she was a good singer. but to be honest i think people are over reacting just a little i mean ya she was good but in my opinion not one of the best. i would have liked to have seen what she WOULD have acomplished had she still been alive.
kingguiness 06/14/2005
A great voice to go along with some great songs.
TMack042 03/24/2005
A great voice, plus I'm biased; she grew right down the road from where I live, in the Shenandoah Valley. Greatest talent out of our area.
tocwelsh 02/20/2005
Probably in the top 10 of female country singers but not my cup of tea...
edt4 01/20/2005
I've never been a particular fan of country music, but Patsy had a voice and syle that transcended the genre.
louiethe20th 01/05/2005
I agree with Irish on this one, she was a great talent. What could she have accomplished had she lived?
irishgit 01/01/2005
A fine voice and superb song selection. One of the greats.
jackblack35 11/11/2004
still to this day, one of the greatest female voices I've ever heard!
NascarNut 11/10/2004
I may only be 32 years old, but I get chills when I hear her velvety, elegant voice, especially on the start of those weeping notes of Sweet Dreams. There's no mistaking that great talented vocalist!
Da Minx 10/16/2004
A true legend with a natural talent. Taken away from this world far too soon. But damn didn't she leave a lasting impression on the world of Country music.
Dawnsdinos 03/09/2004
What can actually be said about her other than excellent. 5 stars aren't enough for this legend.
"Da Bitch" 08/17/2003
She is a great singer, no one could say that she is horrible at her singing because she's wonderful!!!
LennyJ 07/18/2003
Patsy Cline is the queen of music. Everyone of her songs told a story. she sang with all her heart and soul. She opened the door to so many women singers. Even 40 years after Cline's death in a plane crash she is still ranked at #1. If you want good country music you need to get into cline's way of doing it because she can't be beat.
KindredSpirit 05/03/2003
Greatest Lady Of Country Music.
TritonAgain 04/08/2003
God, we could use someone like her again. Maybe the best voice ever in country music.
CanadaSucks 03/17/2003
Only Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin have better voices
mickie147 01/24/2003
As a Patsy Cline fan ..... There is ONLY ONE Patsy Cline ..... many try to immitate her, but none have the voice with the heart and soul she alone was given by the Great Creator .... Heaven's gain was earth's loss .... never to be duplicated ... she is and will "ALWAYS" be the queen to music of any style....and no one can take that away from her...EVER!!
Bryonb74 01/21/2003
She died way too young but her voice was magical...she was an influence to Barbara Mandrell, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn and so many others. She is missed!
DarBee76 01/19/2003
I love her song "Crazy". what a classic!
lukskywlkr. 11/14/2002
What a powerful singer she was. Everything she did, she put her heart and soul into it and there was nothing she couldn't sing. I Fall to Pieces, Walkin' After Midnight, Crazy, Sweet Dreams, Blue Moon of Kentucky, Back in Baby's Arms. Those songs only scratch the surface of her career. Like too many others, she died way to young.
finlore 03/09/2002
It's impossible to over-rate Patsy Cline. Even now, years after her death, no one has come close to equalling the quality of her voice and the emotional sincerity she conveyed. "I Fall To Pieces" and "Crazy" remain popular today, along with many of her lesser-known hits. Unlike many singers, she is instantly recognizable as soon as the first few words are sung.
lorief 01/12/2002
Definitely one of the all time greats! Singers should be judged by more than the number of albums sold (which seems to be one of the main criteria lately). Anyone who can sing from the heart as Patsy Cline did, convey so much emotion in a song, deserves to remain a star!
sunny184 10/02/2001
I still love you Patsy.
thekettleblack 08/07/2001
There's no one like her. She didn't need any gimmicks to win fans - she had something that seems nonexistant in country today...*talent*. Toss out your Shania Twain cds and go listen to Patsy. You'll thank me.
jlosux 07/15/2001
There will never be another Patsy Cline..her voice just stirs your soul. Even my boyfriend, who is not a country fan, thinks her voice was awesome.
kiwi8577 07/09/2001
The greatest!!!! What a voice!!!!
Molfan 05/18/2001
Patsy Cline has a wonderful voice. I love the way she sings her songs. She does not try to do any vocal gymnastics, she just sings it. She has make the song "Crazy" a classic. I also like "Walking after Midnight"It is too bad she had to die so young.
jessica13 04/25/2001
My name is Jessica and I am 13 years old. I absolutley LOVE Patsy Cline and all her songs. She has such a powerful voice and she can make you feel exactly what she is talking about! It's such a tragedy that she died young but I'm sure all country music fans do, and always will, remember Patsy Cline. You can email me at purdiestgirl14@gateway.net. BYE!!
CastleBee 03/09/2001
Even if you are a dyed in the wool Country music hater, you would also have to be deaf, ignorant, or a big fat liar to deny she possessed one of the greatest singing voices of all time. She just did. Her posthumous record sales continue to prove that her fan base spans generations and shows no sign of ever ending.
Becky Hancock 01/15/2001
Patsy cline is my all time favorite singer. She is an icon for all country singers.
The Warder 01/14/2001
The greatest female singer of all time, in ANY category. Period.
Johnny Roulette 01/04/2001
Damn, she was able to get more joy, sorrow and frustration across than most singers I've heard. Are farm animals voting here? Why are Hank Williams & Patsy Cline & Johnny Cash getting creamed by some 12 year old with a whopping legacy of one record?
init10288om 09/02/2000
Such a beautiful, timeless voice and great music to match. Will always wear the crown.
init9859om 08/17/2000
the once and future Queen !! irreplaceable.
Drap9458et 08/07/2000
god bless the traditionalists!
aosb5559du 03/31/2000
Patsy Cline is a classic & well known, her songs are fun & will always be remembered.
redd3762om 01/22/2000
YES YES YES SHE WAS THE GREATEST
Bass1755om 11/27/1999
She is good but I think she is over-rated simply because she died young.
