Used country as a way to get her foot in the door, then abandoned it for the glitz and $$$ of pop. What a shame, she has a decent voice.

This is a poor excuse for an entertainer. People praise her song writing ability and the production of her CD's, I think that both are "fluff". Is THIS the future of our popular music? I will take the old stuff over this anyday!

My wife is a big fan, I initially thought she was a refreshing on comer to the C&W scene but with her new "UP" recordings now with pop, country and other versions make her the king of pure "cookie cutter, buy your version with no tomatoes at Mcdonalds corporate 'B.S.' sterile bullcrap"! This is what is killing the music industry nowadays. Selling looks, and formulas rather than talent and originality. Her disfunctional marriage with Mutt Lange is part of this JoKe too!

(A) She can sing. (B) She can write (C) She's beautiful. (D) She makes great videos. Get over the "its not country" thing. It ain't rap.

I would say "terrible" but I like Shania's personality. She just doesn't sing what I consider to be country music.

I have tremendous respect for what she has accomplished. Her parents were killed when she was young, and she pretty much raised her younger siblings. After all that, she pursues a music career and has succeeded in every way. The problem I have is with her music. I hate it. I know she is a smart woman, but none of that comes across in her music. It all sounds empty headed to me. She does all her albums with only one thing in mind--money money money.

she's cool. she has a great voice and she has great songs. her "come on over" cd is one of my faves and I like both the international version and the reg. USA version. She has alot of talent and she looks cool too. I kinda look like her and I hope to get another of her cd's sometime, i hope she releases a new one here soon. She did married her producer R.J. "mutt" lange and had a baby. that's cool. she is my fav contry singer asides from faith hill.

First of all, why is she listed in the country section? Just because her last name is "Twain" and she wore a cowboy hat once doesn't make her country. She's about as country as Eminem! She's pure, ineffectual, dull bubblegum crap! What's with all her talk about being a self-made woman? Her sugardaddy Mutt Lange made her, financed her music etc. There are several *real* country artists out there who are still playing local bars because they don't have Mutt Lange's money to help them along, and they refuse to sell out and dress like prostitutes. I noticed that most of the comments say something along the lines of "She's goodlooking". wtf? She's not a model, it's not her job to look good. She's supposed to be a singer, but she dresses in a way that most people won't notice her lack of talent. Try listening to her *music* next time, if you can stop staring at her breasts long enough. By the way, she's an ugly hag.

Shania Twain is my favorite singer!! Her songs are awesome and her concerts are by far the best I have ever seen!!

When Shania first debuted I liked her. When I heard "The Woman in Me" I was blown away. The songs are incredible but I found "Come On Over", with the exception of "You're Still the One" to be rather flat. It didn't help that she was everywhere. She's beautiful & talented, but I hope that with her next album, she isn't nearly as overexposed.

Shania will continue to communicate with me through her music. Her music will always be a part of my life.....

Writes catchy songs. But, her voice is lacking. She sings real nasal sounding which annoys me and she can't carry a ballad.

Me my personal opinion on Shania Twain, she's a very godness beauty, I think i will meet her one day, this day will be a special day,... don't think anything about sex, that is not my personal intention!!! Even if she wanted!!! No ,just talkin with her about all and none!!! I am a musician and maybe i play with her, not in her band,... A friend of mine bought me her calander. WOW This is one beautiful woman. All others pale in comparison.

She dresses too sleezy and she needs to lose the attitude.

the critics of shania are just pissed because she has succeeded where they have failed or they are flat out jealous. if i could design the perfect woman in every aspect, it would be shania. she envelops true beauty both physically and emotionally.

The point is not wither she is a sell out, or what cloths she wears, it's "is she a good country artist"? I have to go with a large "YES" on that one. She has changed the face of country music for the better, and brought in a whole new group of listens.

I don't care what you all say. I love her!
