I believe we are all entitled to our own opinions. Evidently, the people who dislike or hate the group are the ones blessed with Internet access. I'm sure there are about 100 people who like or love the band for every one person who has a low opinion of the guys. And if these terrific people could express their love for Backstreet Boy's music, they would. I just happen to be one of those people who truly appretiates Backstreet's music. Who said singing involved writing the music you sing? So what if they didn't write their own when they first started out? They do now! Besides, with voices like theirs...all they need to do is sing. They give emotion to the words put before them. I don't care what any pessimistic cynic has to say to that either, or to anything I say. The Backstreet Boys have impacted the music world in such a big way that no other group could hope to compare or even think of competing. I'm sure you're thinking of N Sync right now. N Sync was "created" by Lou Pearlman AFTER the Backstreet Boys broke into the music world. If you think about it, BSB are the original artists, the real deal. They paved the way for other pop groups like N Sync, 98 degrees, and 5ive. Without BSB, N Sync would not exist. So all you BSB haters who only hate because you "love" N Sync...think of that whenever you listen to your "Celebrity" CD. As for me, I have nothing bad to say about N Sync. At first, BSB didn't play such a big part in the music they performed...but they have become more and more involved with each album they've made. Their sound is getting more and more beautiful as they create it themselves. And you know what? It's only going to get better! With the marriages of Brian and Kevin and the start of Johnny No Name by AJ, there has been a lot of speculation about the band breaking up to start families, persue solo careers, or go into other fields of entertainment. And on top of it all, AJ's coming forward and telling the world of his alcohol problem and his decision to enter rehab has just given the press more opportunity to make awful predictions about the group. But it has only shown the world the uniqeness that makes the Backstreet Boys truly different and beautiful. They love their fans enough to be honest and they love the world enough to share their experience in hopes of helping others who may be facing the same or a similar situation. Nick himself said in an MTV Interview that there is no end to the band unless one of them dies. I am 101% sure that AJ is going to pull through this and when he does, he will be a stronger and better person because of it. If any BSB hater wishes the band or one memeber of the band dead...the hell with you. Nobody has any right to wish death or bad fortune on anyone. Talent...this word is synonymous with Backstreet Boys. By showing the kind of strength they have with the AJ situation...they've enforced my appretiation for their music. If you listen closely, they aren't always elatated. There is emotion flowing through the lyrics. But haters are too busy hating to pay attention to anything but their own miserable feelings and beliefs. It's a great thing that they appeal to the younger audience. I mean, why not? They are wonderful role models. An extremely important lesson can be taught with the present state of the band. Strength, and reaching out for help when you need to. I'm very proud of the band for surviving all the negativity they recieve for being talented, successful, real, and different. Oh yeah, and to top it all off...they're good-looking too! The Backstreet Boys will ALWAYS be loved because I am always going to be here to love and support them. If you can't see anything good in them...I do feel sorry for you. You're blind. I send my deepest love and my most heartfelt prayers out to the band in this time of pain. Your losses and troubles are only making you better! Remember fans, KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE!

You don't have to play an instrument to be talented. They just have great voices. But i would give them a 2 on their dancing.

Why is it that N'Sync fans hate the Backstreet Boys, and Backstreet fans hate N'Sync? They're both mindless wastes of radio space and need to learn something new. When 10-13 year old girls are the only ones at your concerts then you have a real problem. They suck. Manufactured bands have always sucked. I think that everyone who doesn't like BSB is either gay, a guy, or jus plain doesn't know good music when he/she hears it. So many ppl these days don't understand that music styles are changing not everything is always going to stay your way. If you had an open mind and weren't so narrow minded you might be able to appreciate the beauty of they music. Sure they don't always write thier own songs, but many have been writin by the boys if not all, then by at least one of them. And as for all you other so called BOY bands, just go on being called a BOY band because BSB is more mature enough that they know their not a BOY band. They may be called that by some, but they knwo they have matured in not only their music but in life itself. I wish I could say more but I am restricted to the things I am allowed to say, so I'm going to leave it at that, because if you truly love and know music you'll understand what I'm saying.

I'll have to admit, BSB are way better than any other boy band out right now. Especialy Nsync! At first BSB weren't that good, but then they started writing thier own songs. And I really don't like bands that doesn't write thier own music because it shows how much they suck! I am a big metal head, but I used to be obsessed with BSB. BSB PRIDE! hehe

The Backstreet Boys are my favorite group. There music is a huge part of my life. They are wonderful guys who do wonderful things in this world. I don't see why everyone is complaining about them...if you do not like them, than turn the tv/radio off. It is not that hard. The BSB mean a lot to their fans, their music gets them out of tough times in their life and their overall attitudes are so positive that it makes us happy. Hey, They may not be the best band in the world, but at least they are making some money from it. Besides, other artists have people write their songs for them, why can't they? while ya'll ( yes I'm a southerner) sit and complain about how bad they sing, I would like to anyone of ya'll get up on a stage and sing to thousands of fans. These guys rock, because their lyrics are very well written. I don't care much for the dance moves, but they've got very tuneful voices and compelling, attractive songs.

Yo yo yo BSB ain't in the house, yeahhhh boyyy! These guys blow pure and simple. The only good thing that ever came out of this band being a band (and I use the term band loosely) is that someone out there was witty enough to come up with the Flash spoof of their song "we want it that way" called "which backstreet boy is gay". Now I should state for the record that I don't care if any of them are gay, if they are then more power to them but the Flash video is priceless and very well done. It's also very well sung and sounds just like them, for the most part anyway. That song has been in my head constantly ever since.

They're taking up valuable space for real musicians. I think my main problem, aside from the fact that their "music" is pointless bubblegum rock, is the fact that they didn't have to WORK for what they have.
