People went way too crazy over the Beatles. Passing out, fainting, mobs in the crowd trampling people. They were good but not as good as they were hyped up to be. Like them for being great artists, which is a hard job.

What I remember the most about the Beatles was a contest in the early 60's to see how many words could be made from their name. ('ok... so I was a nerdy kid ~ deal with it)BEATLES:beat, belt(s), beast, beet(s), bleet(s), bales, blast, baste, be, bee(s), baste,eat(s), eel(s), ease, east, able, as, abs, at, ale(s), abet(s), tale(s), tea(s), tease, teal, tab(s), lease, lab(s), let(s), late, la,sable, seal, steal, stab, slate, stale, stab(s)etc... ect... ect... (seems like there were hundreds of words)

What an eclectic group huh?! I think what they did to the face of 'rock and roll' was amazing. Their songs are so catchy and I never want to turn them off if they come on the radio like I do with some other bands. I know pretty close to nothing about the indivual band members or anything else, but "hey, Jude" will always be a classic.

George Harrison's probably worth a four, but the others get on my bloody nerves. Largely bland, but I can't deny their immeasurable influence on music. Chances are I wouldn't be sitting here listening to Thin Lizzy without them.I can't say I think their music is worth much, though...
