Gimmicky, commercially, accessible ska-pop-punk.

Their first album was an amazing ska-punk experience that had the song Walking Of The Sun which is one of the best pop songs ever IMO, but the rest of their albums were awful pop crap.

A fun and cool rock band. However Iam getting tired of them tryingto be poppy. Like that terrible You ARe My Number One. They've gotta change in that manor.

Put the D into Dreadful. For anyone who wants to shoot down music from the late 90 early 00s these clowns provide easy ammunition

I like that band very much, they have upbeat and stimulating, as well as cool and refreshing songs. Their style is unique. Even if their latest stuff has become less aggressive and more party-like, they are anything but poppy.

Smash Mouth make fun, catchy party music that's hard to hate.

Smash Mouth can be best described as a guilty pleasure...pure "fun n' sun" music to surf, swim, party, or lay around the beach on. Although the band has transformed from purely punk to alternative/pop rock, they still managed to pull of one hell of a record with "Astro Lounge". Every single song is outstanding, and each one gets stuck in your head for weeks at a time. Their first CD is by no means any less awesome, and few people know about it due to the success of "Astro Lounge" (due to the simple fact that "All Star" got major radio play), but it is also really great material. Greg Camp is a great song writer and his lyrics are original and fresh...so here is a simple equation that will sum up my rating: Smash Mouth=FUN

I l0ove this band because when there song "Allstar" came out in '99 i was about to start Jr. High and me and my freinds had alot of fun that summer and when ever i hear the allstar song i remember alot of really funny memories!

A pretty horrid group. They come out again and again with pop hits that you know you should hate, but you happen to love. It's hypnosis. And then we realize after the song was immensely overplayed that it's a bad piece of music. If they're first CD it seems that they threw in a bundle of random curse words just so they could get a PARENTAL ADVISORY label on the album. Sorry guys- if you want to accomplish anything, it's time to shape up.
