Their songs are boring and overly simple. The melody of "With Arms Wide Open" consists of only 3 or 4 notes! They are saved from receiving one star by the fact that their message is good.

One of the few bands that actually sound real, but too much radio play & the Pearl Jam comparisons will probably kill them. "With Arms Wide Open" still gives me goosebumps though.

creed kicks ass. most of you dont like them cause youre like theyre too "old" or theyre too christian-like. your problem. i happen to like their thoughtful words and i like their sound a lot, cause i listen to rock. and scott stapp (there are 2 scotts in that band) has an awesome voice, and he's a hottie. i saw them live- they totally kick ass.

Pretty progressive group. They have a very distinct sound. They should be rated higher, because they have really put out some good stuff. "My Own Prison", "Are You Ready?"- man!

i think that too many people focus on whether they are or arent a "christian" band. who cares. they are a very talented band and stapp has an awesome voice. they put on an a great live show. but i must say that i am a bigger fan of the first album. the second one seems a little "manufactured." but they still rock.

I don't really know what it is about this band, but I really enjoy listening to them. Scott Stapp's voice has an addicting sound, and the melodies of their songs are unique and different from other genres of rock. Mari *Thursday asks: "where can i get a wonky eye like yours? is bowienet going to offer them in the future?"* *David Bowie answers: I may have to delve into my bag and make the glass eye a competition prize in the future. I did have my eye made up as balloons and kicked them out to the audience on the Earthling 97 tour. You may find one of those on Ebay. They are THE worst band ever!

I like Creed because their music is really good and very hard, yet it's about more than sex and drugs. It's refreshing to hear a good band that talks about real things. Usually you'd have to listen to annoying whiny folk singers to get that. Creed is a really good band, very passionate and talented/.

Creed is the only new band these days which actually plays "hard rock" and gets it right. For that alone I love them. I didn't much like their first album. A lot of the riffs on there sounded uninspired and recycled but Scott's lyrics and voice kept me listening. Their second album is 10 times better. Yes, Higher and Arms Wide Open were overplayed but... One thing I see a lot of people on this board doing is making the mistake of calling them a Christian band. THEY ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN BAND. That's even from the mouth of Scott Stapp himself. How many Christians do you know that blame the entire human race for the absence of the creator?? It's in the lyrics to a song on the second album: "Who is to blame? Say I!" Or how about this other 'pro-Christian' statement "Tell me Mr. Preacher man, I spent my last dollar, can I still come to your show?" from In America? Watch the Behind the Music special on this band and you will see that he is NOT into organized religion. Thank goodness.

The singer in Creed sounds like a whiny b****. He gets on my nerves so bad he literally gives me a headache everytime I hear Creed on the radio. He is a b**** for what he has said and done to Fred Durst...he thinks he is God or something. I mean, he tries to pick a fight with Fred and when Fred says no, he whines like a spoiled brat and tries to get in another fight. I hope Fred Durst kicks his ass so Scott Stapp will shut up and quit whining...Limp Bizkit rocks, Creed sucks. Period.

I just think that you Tracey should shut up. You don't know what it's like to be someone until you are actually in that situation. It is hard to deal with parents trying to change you, and the school emphasized all these forgiveness points and then totally went against them. Why don't you stop being so cynacal and see Creed for what they are: an amazing band who have gotten over tough spots.

The fact that this ROCKING alternative band is Christian just makes me love them even more. They are inspiring a new generation of Christian warriors!

The Bible DOES talk about forgivness. And he knows their are consequences to his actions. And that their should be. But they still should forgive him. He never said they should have LET HIM BACK IN. To the person who said scoot thinks hes Jesus. WHat are you talking about? Let me guess you are a Limp fan? See he never said he was Jesus. But the Bible tells us to aim to be like Jesus and noone or nothing else. In my eyes he is a good role modle. They have great music and talent. I love their songs. And I have much respect for them. 5 stars most defintally.

CREED ROCKS!!! i'm an older woman (38) and always loved the classic Rock n Roll (still do). The last few years i've definitely been rocking to alternative and Creed is one of my FAVS!!!!! We all need some new stuff! I saw them in concert in September (Collective Soul) opened for them.....both bands ROCKED!

Not a great group, but for people who like rock, we'll take what we can get, because there's not much out there.

ok, first off i would like to say that creed makes me violently ill. how can they claim to be christian rock when scott stapp actually thinks he is jesus? and it is so obvious that he is vane, just look at his poses and movements. he is even more snobby then fred durst. even if we keep the lead singers personality out of it, the band STILL sucks big time. i dont know where they dug the vocals up from, but the man sings like he just swallows marshmellows and glass! there is not any room to compliment the musicians because it is all very basic, very elimentary stuff. creed gets my seal of disaproval.

Sometimes I wonder if the lead singer can sing any other way besides in his annoying little squeezed sound. "My Own Prison" is a horrid song that I'm stuck listening to the bus every morning. Most of their hits are overplayed. They have a few decent tunes.

I seen the the biography on Creed on MTV and I was very impressed that they came from nothing and just playing at a bar and now they are one of the best groups I have ever heard.

Wow! It sounds like some of you hate them simply because they are Christians! That is the thing that Jesus spoke of called "persecution" for no other reason except that one chooses to love Christ Why would you be so angry at someone for that? (you can answer yourself that one)

Creed's music is mediocre at best, and after watching the "Behind the Music" episode on them, I realize they are the kind of whining "poor me" gen-xers that everybody hate young people. I'm just a couple of years older than the band members, and I was really annoyed by Scott Stapp's whining about how bad he had it because his dad made him abide by his rules. That's called life. If you want to live with and sponge off your parents, you have to live by some rules. He complained about how he got kicked out of college for smoking pot or something & he was bitter because the Bible talks of forgiveness, but he wasn't forgiven by the school. Boo hoo! Then he made a big deal about how he had this terrible apartment after he couldn't stand living with his parents because he had no money. How about getting a job? This guy sounds just like so many young people who complain about how "the world" has treated them, but nothing is ever their fault! Two words for Scott Stapp & Creed -- GROW UP!

GREAT!! They are really cool cuz they're Christian, and they are the most popular Christian band around! They're awesome cuz they are kind of heavy metal but some of their songs have a slow rythym to them.

I think that Creed is a great band. The beat & rythm of the music is my favorite part. The lrics are so awesome! They really make you think. Creed is not a superficial, greed crazed band like many bands out there. They are passinate about what they do. I think that is very important. I just can't like a band that has no depth. I guess it all depends on your opinion, but I absolutly love Creed!! I like the songs: Higher and With Arms Wide Open!! The lead singer is so sexy and his voice is hot too!! Rock on Creed!!! P.S. I think there is nothing wrong with the fact that they're Christians and that there is nothing wrong with singing about God!!

CREED is awsome their songs are great and so are the lyrics. I went to the creed concert at Darien Lake Sept.1/00 it was awsome the only complaint I had it seemed to short. I think that Scott Stapp has an amazing voice and they're a great band!!!!

Creed is awesome because they're Christians in secular music--which means that their stuff isn't sick and twisted like some secular stuff is.
