 | ILikePie (55) 03/14/2008 | The greatest rock band of all time. Phil Lynott is the Messiah of music. I can say no more.

 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (18) 06/16/2006 | Weak studio production definitely did them no favours as the songs really come into their own live.

 | pheonixdancer (0) 02/07/2006 | Thin Lizzy is an amazing band and deserve 5 stars. Their songs are memorable and they had passion in their music. They were no ordinary rock band, they were completely the opposite. Rest in peace Phil Lynott

 | VirileVagabond (37) 11/12/2004 | While dedicated fans would argue, in the end Thin Lizzy was a rather run of the mill hard rock band. Fronted by bassist, singer and songwriter Phil Lynott (a black man from Ireland), the group concentrated on working man and fish out of water themes. In the end, only a fanatic would need more than the excellent Dedication: The Very Best of Thin Lizzy (1991), though this compilation doesn't include one of their better singles, namely Angel of Death off of Renegade (1981).

 | Reign Man (0) 10/23/2004 | Syncopated, rhythmical, harmonic, lyrical, interesting, exciting, catchy twin guitar hard rock with the most charismatic character to ever front a band & rock's most under-rated drummer backing him up. THE greatest Hard Rock band ever & Live & Dangerous best reflects the band in their live element. Black Rose was their best overall studio effort. www.Reign.name

 | Guava Monkey (4) 04/21/2004 | Definitely much better live than in the studio. 'Live & Dangerous' is their best even if it did have some major studio tweakage. The other live album's also pretty good. Get these and that's about all the Lizzy you'll need.

 | Keyo717 (0) 04/24/2003 | This band was amazing! Go out and buy everything they have ever done. Some on the best writing ever. NONE of the bands out now could help unload the trucks for Thin Lizzy...This is when there really was ROCK music.
RIP Phil

 | eddiegee (0) 03/13/2003 | A great live band. Used to go see them around Detroit in the late '70's. Small venues, great shows. Get "Live and Dangerous" if you want a real taste. Phil,I will never forget. May God rest your soul.

 | Jason1972 (4) 10/25/2002 | Great sound. Too bad about the lead singer, though.

 | TheFreak (5) 08/13/2002 | Make that a 3.5. I've only heard a few of Thin Lizzy's songs, and so I can't really give them a "great" rating yet. "Whiskey In The Jar" is a pretty good song, but I just don't get the appeal of "The Boys Are Back In Town". A lot of the people who listen to the same music that I do absolutely love Thin Lizzy, but just because they opened for your favorite band is not a reason to send their rating through the roof. For now, three stars. Maybe later, four stars. Take care, everyone!

 | KingofCockRock (0) 03/23/2001 | Twin leads, fat bass, and lyrics that actually ment something. Thin Lizzy was the total package and none has come close. R.I.P. Phil.

 | Flano (0) 01/02/2001 | TASTY!! "Dancing in the moonlight" and "Whiskey in the jar" are classics. They're huge here in Ireland! Phil Lynotte was one of an endless list of tragic rock deaths.
