What can one say about such God-given acting ability? It is obvious that Mr. Rickman has such a wonderful yet hard-earned gift that many times over his performance has left me speechless. It matters not about the character or time period -- whomever Mr. Rickman portrays, he becomes that person. Now that, my friends, is rare.

Alan Rickman is one of the MOST under-rated actors of all time. He has unbelievable range, from the best of villian, to comedy, to romantic. And that voice!!!!! AHHHHH! --Shelley

AR is my favorite actor due to his politics (he's a socialist), his intelligence, his voice and his ability to play each part as neither totally evil, nor totally good. Within the restrictions of sometimes vile scripts, he is nonetheless able to shine..using the lift of an eyebrow or a quirk of the lips to speak volumes. His best movies have been "Bob Roberts", "Prince of Thieves" and "Quigley Down Under".....pictures that otherwise might have been just standard Hollywood formula faire. He has been able to insert the same classical piece in "Dark Harbor", "Die Hard", and "Truly, Madly, Deeply". Watch them back to back and see if you can identify it. Here lately, he's started to pull a John Wayne, playing "Alan Rickman playing whatever character" but I'll take him any day over the clueless pretty boys that fog the screen. As a woman 4 days older than he is, I can tell you that he still raises my blood pressure to a might "O"!!!!

Mr.Rickman is one of the most versatile actors working today. He is amazingly clever at becoming almost invisible, allowing the character he is portraying to be fully realised. BRAVO MR. RICKMAN

I think Mr. Rickman is the most talented actor I've ever seen. He did a wonderful job as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and even more outstanding performances in Sense and Sensibilllity, Truly, Madly, Deeply. His English accent is to die for. I just love it. I wish to see him more in movies and on stage.

He is one if the very few "chameleon" actors around today, th only other I can think of would be Tom Hanks, oh and Kevin Spacey! His ability to change for sarcastic bad guy (Robin Hood and Die Hard) to charming romantic (Truly Madly Deeply and Sense And Sensibility). I have never watched a film of his that I havent enjoyed his performance in!!

Alan Rickman is charming, indeed, but his various attempts at an American accent can be downright hysterical (ex.: "Judas Kiss"-perhaps he was absent that day at English drama school). Though his choice of roles is at times questionable ("Dogma," "Mesmer," "Judas Kiss," to name a few) and his acting, inconsistent, his talent and personage rival most popular American actors his age. His versatility shines most brightly in films such as "Sense and Sensibility," "Die Hard," and "Galaxy Quest."

I absolutely love Alan Rickman. He is one of the best actors out there. In every role he's in, he puts his full heart into it. And he's a very romantic man, which makes him very likeable by many of his female fans. :)

Alan Rickman is one of the most versatile actors today. He inspires his audience, and when he plays a romantic character he is great, but when he plays a villan he is fantastic. In Dogma he was charismatic, in Trully Madly Deeply he was sensual and in An Afully Big adventure he exulded so much sex appeal, it was hard to watch some scenes. In Die hard he was sophisticated, and without the doubt he made way for a new kind of villan, the kind that you can respect, even admire. In Robin hood, he was the only bright spot in the movie. Mr. Rickman you are my favorit actor, please indulge us, and make more movies.

His movie roles are entertaining and memorable. His voice is wonderful (move over Sean Connery!). He is equally attractive as a romantic lead or a villian. Keep his career going! Don't change his approach to acting or his looks!

He has charm and carisma either as the leading man or devious villan. Alan is on the top of my british actor list.

He is the best actor I have ever seen in my 34 years on this earth. He is the most versatile actor. He is handsome, charming, intelligent and he is always different in every role he portrays. I just dream of dying in his arms especially by his character in Die Hard Hans Gruber.

I feel that Alan Rickman is one of the best actors that I've seen in years. In these days were all you have to be is young and thin to get you face plastered all over the place it is good to see someone who not only looks like they can act, but can act and do it well. And what a beautiful, expressive face. Keep up the wonderful work Mr. Rickman. Do more romantic work.

I just love him: He's a great actor with a magnetism that simply permeates the screen.
Wiggum 04/17/2000
This guy did a great job as the villan in Die Hard. Usually the bad guys in big action movies are idiots, but the intelligence of Rickman's character and the quality of his acting really helped Die Hard rise above that cliche.
RESI5519OM 04/12/2000
Absolutely love him. He was the ONLY reason I sat through Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and he was outstanding in Sense & Sensibility, An Awfully Big Adventure, and Truly, Madly, Deeply. One of my all-time favorites.
