Maurice is truly the most gorgeous man I've seen. I love how much is loves his family and only wish I was his wife. I'm happy for him with this new child on the way. Keep up the good work on GH I have to admit I tune into it mostly for him and Carly. I want them to stay together!

Maurice Benard is an amazing actor! When he acts you can't take your eyes off the screen! He is so good at acting kind and caring with his girlfriends, wife and children and so ruthless with his enemies! I have been a fan since Maurice first joined General Hospital in 1993! I'm so happy he signed on for another four years! He is General Hospital!

I dont know whats wrong with all of you who have said Maurice is anything but a fantastic actor. He is the BEST! To say he looks off camera at cue cards is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life. The guy can act better than anyone on TV or movies, for that matter. He has embraced the role of Sonny and NOONE could ever replace him! And if Maurice wasnt a great actor he wouldnt have won an Emmy nor would he have so many nominations..and he is deserving of each and every one of them. GH is doing great in the ratings and I guarantee you that if left the show, the ratings would go downhill fast. And I agree with what others have said...Maurice is a wonderful person and I applaud him for speaking so openly about his manic depression. If only more people had his personality, maybe the world would be a better place! Oh, and he is GORGEOUS!!

Used to love Maurice Benard as Sonny Corinthos. Lately, though, his acting is really stale. Hope his rumored break rejuvenates him, because it would be nice to be able to enjoy him again.

I have the utmost respect for Maurice. He's very giving to his fellow actors and fans. He's the most amazing performer on daytime television and he's the only reason MANY people tune into General Hospital. His willingness to share his experience with Manic Depression is admirable and his devotion to his family is endearing. Maurice Benard is THE number ONE man on daytime TV!!

Maurice is an expert at interpreting his character's inner emotions and projecting them with the ease that only an actor of his exemplary talent can portray. His dark, deep set, sometimes tragic eyes reflect his emotions. Every nuance is provocative and sometimes spell binding.Sonny Corinthos is the most compelling character on any Soap Opera! Sonny is basically a good man with a fatal flaw which makes him all the more compelling and a pivital character on General Hospital!

Maurice Bernard is great. I'll never get tired of watching him.

I have a lot of respect for Maurice speaking so openly about his Manic Depression. But as an actor he is just overrated. Maurice phones in a lot of his performances and relies to much on mumbling his way though scenes.

No-talent actor who lacks respect for his fellow performers. Both he and his character are the worst thing that ever happened to GH and to daytime in general. The producers should wake up and realize that he is dragging the show down and causing them to lose viewers in droves.

Horrid character. Sonny is too possesive of his children, and too obsessed with the mob. He tried to kill Faith, and he doesn't like Jax, so I do not like him.

Maurice Benard is simply the most talented actor in Daytime television! I don't think there is any other actor in Daytime who is capable of portraying a character as complex as GH's Sonny Corinthos. Last year's Emmy win was long overdue for Maurice. He gives his best in every performance as Sonny, but Sonny is not the only role in which he excels. He is a wonderful husband to wife Paula and a wonderful father to his two daughters, Cailey and Cassidy. He also genuinely appreciates and loves his fans. Even more admirable than the above-mentioned things is his courage in going public about his personal struggle with bipolar disorder. Though told that going public would surely hurt his career, he gives his personal time to share his story in order to encourage others to be diagnosed and get treatment. Maurice Benard is a true role model in all aspects of life and I'm proud to proclaim myself one of his fans! To those of you who only gave Maurice one star, I can only say that you must watch the commercials and go to the bathroom while the GH scenes are on. That would explain why you have the rating backwards, too!

Ghawd how I love Sonny- gag, he is just the PERFECT MAN, verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive to his wife, shoots her while shes giving birth (but wait it was an ACCIDENT, he couldnt control his ANGER oh wait he still CANT Im loving the glass throwing and the spitting everywhere- ahhhhh RABIES), gets as many women pregnant as possible, loves to control everybodys lives and has also made Jason his DHAWG (awwwww isnt that sweet I swear these 2 are secretly lovers). So for any men out there who are abusive and want to try to ACT, theres hope for you just tell them that you want to be a disturbed psychopathic raging lunatic that loves to boss people around, have it your way or they can kiss your, get as many women pregnant as possible with your demon spawns and FINALLY get shot countless times and still live. Maurice fails to show me why the hell people love him or his acting, which by the way sucks really bad, he's just painful, nauseating and a complete disgrace to husbands NOT TO MENTION A MIDGET. Hes become a hideous choice for GH and need to leave. I HOPE THE RUMOR ABOUT SONNY LEAVING GH COMES TRUE, Im sick and tired of everything revolving around him, there are other actors and actresses who need a chance onscreen you know. Of course I could go on but Ill leave it right here so that the sad disturbed psychopaths who love Sonny can continue loving him. If I could give him no stars I would but sadly Ill have to give him one star (excuse me while I run to the bathroom, all this Sonny talk is making me sick).

maurice used to be a decent actor but know he mumbles his way through his dialogue,sonny dominates g.h way too much which is unfair to the other actors and his character is boring and predictible.

He is the most amazing thing to ever happen to daytime. He is mesmerizing on screen. As for Sonny, with Brenda, he can set the world on fire.

Everything is exactly the same day after day. Monotonous.

there is no real acting on MB's part! He is always looking away when he is in a conversation with someone! If there were no cue cards he would be lost. He stumbles over his words which drags the show down! On SoapNet he even states When he goes on vacation or is off, he has a major storyline. It will be so REFRESHING when he does go on vacation so this way I can see some REAL ACTING!

I don't care for his acting.

Maurice seems to leave himself at home? or somewhere else when he's on. His performance in the last year has slowly gone downhill. He mumbles so much I have to keep my caption on to catch what he says.

Maurice is one of the most overrated actors in dyatime. He is beyond horrible. His acting tics suck. He mumbles all of his lines and bats his lashes. The only reason he is memorable is because he is on the screen every damn day. He is the reason General Hospital sucks right now. Everything is about his character Sonny. The sooner he leaves the better.

I like the character Maurice plays as sonny C. He makes GH worth watching and he seems to be a very caring person in real life as far as donating his time and money to NAMI. I think it is great that he does so much to help educate the public about bipolar illness. I admire him for caring about helping others.

Maurice is the most talented actor on daytime! The humanity and depth he brings to the character of are unmatched. Were it not for him, General Hospital would be no different from all of the other soaps. Maurice has a way of lifting the level of all his scenes and seems to make his fellow actors better. I can't imagine General Hospital without him or Sonny Corinthos!
