Choosing smaller, indie roles, she gives every performance enormous heart and depth. Unconventionally beautiful, she is magnetic on the screen. I hope to see her gain some acclaim and escape the titanic shadow.

I admired her for choosing smaller films after Titanic. Recently, though, she's been doing bigger American films but I hope she never stops doing smaller British films as well. Probably one of England's best actresses!

wish there was a greater number to give her.. kate is absolutely beautiful, a great actress.. and a totally cool person i think. she really dont care what people think.. they were really hard on her weight when titanic was out.. but i thought she was still beautiful and so does many other people obviously. so she isnt a STICK figure.. so what! she dont care what anyone says.. she is herself no matter what. she is georgous in her personality and looks.

You can compare her to likes as Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and Julianne Moore. She strikes me as a woman and actress with her daring and honest personality and her really natural beauty. She looks like a woman who can bent man's ego and bring him to his knees. Her eyes are expressive with a flash of feline hunger and at the same time kindness and emotion. She shines as a star not only because of her acting ability, but also because of her movie choices. You can truly tell that she is in the movie because of a tremendous hunger for acting, not for a paycheck. She is a true treasure that people should recognize.

I think she is positively darling! She only gets prettier and prettier. I do miss seeing her on the screen, however. I guess parenting is her priority these days. Which is certainly more than I can say for so many other actresses.

At times, I think her acting skills leave a little to be desired. And, I sometimes question her choice of roles. Having said that, I liked her a lot in "Titanic" and "Holy Smoke". Very easy on the eyes, in my opinion--her curves make for a nice change in a world seemingly obsessed with the "waif" look.

Shes good at acting and she is so very hot. Her husband was a stupid man not to stay with. so very hot! w00t w00t!

I'm jealous that the Brits have such a lovely, talented actress to be proud of- there are very few American women that come close to her caliber, with the exceptions of Jodie Foster and Hilary Swank, perhaps. I loved Kate in "Titanic"- she was the ultimate heroine and made me proud to be a woman. I also like her in other roles, including the very bizarre "Heavenly Creatures" and the winsome "Sense and Sensibility." She conveys an air of reality and wholesomeness in her peformances, and totally deserves an Oscar for Best Actress in something soon! I also like the fact that Kate is comfortable with her body image and doesn't diet or force herself into anorexia or bulimia to have "the perfect body." She's proof that a woman of a plumper figure (like myself) can be sexy, successful, talented and still get the guys! I wish her all the best in the future - she has a long, blessed career ahead of her.

Oh man..Kate is the BEST. She's one of the best modern-day actresses out ther. Even when the film isn't that great (like "Holy Smoke", yuck) she makes it worthwhile. She's beautiful, luscious, classy, wonderful...I could sing her praises forever!

I think she's a very good and beautiful actress. I like her not only because of her charm, but also because she's one of those actresses who actually take care of themselves I mean some of the actresses and other celebs keep them selves so skinny I think it's not very attractive. Kate is just right..not too fat nor too skinny.

I couldn't believe it when everyone was criticizing her as fat when she was in Titanic. If that's fat, then Calista Flockhart is chubby. Kate is simply beautiful. When did everyone decide women should look like skeletons with big heads?

After watching "Titanic" (and being bored to tears, I might add), I was completely sold on how beautiful Kate Winslet was. But after reading her interview in Movieline magazine, I was completely sold on what a beautiful PERSON she was. She came across as a genuine, funny, smart, and down to earth woman. She is like a lady of the manor that all the servants would like. She was captivating in "Holy Smoke". After seeing this film, I couldn't help being blown away on how extremely talented Winslet was, too. I would love to see her in more things but, alas, Hollywood would prefer to sell us Gwenneth Paltrow. But let's hope Kate never has to compromise herself or her weight to win a role in a movie!

I think she's a very good and brave actress. A rare commodity. There aren't too many actresses willing to play undignified parts, but she is one. And Titanic is an especially good movie, because not only does it have great special effects, it has good acting too. Thanks, Kate. But she does seem to zone out for a second or two sometimes.

Kate Winslet lit up the screen in Titantic, but she has suddenly disappeared from Hollywood. She makes an occasional appearence in some average movies, but she has kind of retired from the business at a very young age.
