How do you say over-rated in Australian?

Very talented and gifted oscar winnnig actress. Great roles over the years and very few actresses of today can compare. Keep up the great work.

Better than average in looks and skills. Sometimes, though , she looks like she just crawled out of a grave. But I liked her in Eyes Wide Shut and the Peacemaker. also the Others was a strong performance. She seems very Victorian.

Nicole is a good actress hence her Oscar winning performance this year. It has been noted that she has done so much better since she left Mr Smug Cruise and I predit that she will go on to bigger and better things. This was not her last Oscar. Helps that she is knock down Gorgeous.

OK my jaw is dropping at this moment. I like this girl, she has a quality in hollywood that is extremely rare. I have yet to see a role in which she has played that I think she could have done better. She is extremely versatile.Only thing I hold against her has nothing to do with her acting abilities, and that is marrying Tom Cruise.

I think she's highly over-rated as an actress and it's only her exploits with ex hubby Tom Cruise that garner her the attention she gets from the press which in turn over exposes her in the industry.

Alright, GAME OVER!! Here's the scale: there's cute, then there's sexy, next comes hot, and then there's NICOLE KIDMAN!! Trust me, I've seen this angel in person...absolutely breathtaking. And she's a damn fine actress. She should have won an Oscar for To Die For. Superb. There are many great stars in show biz, but NONE can begin to touch this woman. Am I in love? HELL YEAH!! like I said, GAME OVER!!

SUPERB ACTRESS

3 stars perhaps for acting ability, 2 stars overall due to that wishy washy, cringe-inducing speech she gave at the Oscars. Also loses points for previous marriage to that vertically-challenged, smarmy no-talent hack actor.

She's without a doubt one of the most attractive and incredibly photogenic women to appear on screen who has not ony proved herself as an extremely versatile actress in a relatively short period of time but is also one of the few actresses who is absolutely mesmerising to watch. My only gripe is that I sometimes feel she has a tendency to come across as a bit cold on screen in order to prove herself as a serious actress, and there's a sense of ruthlessness about her. Almost as if an inner turmoil is driving her ambition. She's had a few memorable solo performance's in her career thus far and there's no denying when she lands the right part, she has an ability to light up the screen like no other actress.

One of the best! She is especially good at fine tuning different accents. I think she is one of the best out there since Dead Calm and Flirting and is finally getting the notice she deserves aside from being Mrs Tom Cruise Very pretty face and gorgeous hair too

Used to be hot-no question but her looks are now fading at quite an alarming rate. It would be nice if she opted to bow out of the scene now and retain some dignity rather than making the mistake made by far too many actresses before her of trying to hang onto glory for too long.

Early in her career i thought she was over rated. And than i saw the movie the others. She was awesome in this movie. An excelent acctres who also gave an outstanding performance in the movie the hours.

Deserves a 5 for To Die For alone.

Decent acting at the right times with reasonable looks but her marriage with Tom Cruise was dicey and some of her movies were (and still are) fairly dubious in quality. Better movies will definitely boost her image.

Haha Tom Cruise...never take him back Nicole, you're too good for the likes of him. He could never love you more than himself. Anyway, acting ability. Not bad, comes across as a bit of a cold fish sometimes. We can oh and ah over acting technique, but sometimes its a turn-off when you consciously think my my, that was a fine piece of emoting. Cold mountain was over-rated and Renee wiped the floor with everyone anyway. For all the gossip about Nic and Jude, they never spent enough time on screen together to actually warm it up. But I like her cause she's an Aussie chick made good and I hope she lets grovelling Tom lick the soles of her boots for a while before laughing and running off with Russell Crowe. Hahahah!

I think she's a decent enough actress when in the right kind of film, but in interviews she comes across as uptight and takes herself a bit too seriously. As looks go, she's pretty average but too pale and skinny by half.

Brilliant actress

I think Nicole is such an incredible actress. She has class, grace, beauty and phenomenal acting talent. Truly incredible.

Can't find anything to like about her, at the recent Golden Globes, what was she dressed as? Was it Halloween and she came as a curly haired 12 year old in an ice skaters dress? I find her dull on talk shows, like she has an IQ of about 50, she can't talk but gushes like a teen-ager, makes me wonder...

I think Ms. Kidman is a great actress. Yes she has made some bad movie choices...but ever notice how those movies were with her ex? To Die For was a great dark comedy. Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite movies and she was terrific. Cold Mountain is another good movie that she is great in even though Renee Zellewegger steals every scene she is in. I hope that Ms. Kidman does a comedy. Something stupidly funny, that would show her acting versatility.

i think you win or lose with her movies ... she is in some good ones and bad ones.. personally i think she lost her brain in freakin moulin rouge.. secondly .. i also think eyes wide shut was stupid and a snore, but thats just my opinion on that.. i also think her better days were during far and away. she was greattt in that:)

over rated

She is by far one of my favorite actresses! She has perservered for years to finally get the recognition she deserves and I applaud her for it. She can transform herself into anyone and as a person, she is always graceful and ladlylike-much like the marvelous actresses Hollywood began with. She is truly an icon now.

Liked her in Bangkok Hilton and The Others. Otherwise i would say she is very overrated and overused, there is so much talent out there, why do they always call Nicoles name?

She's gorgeous, and seems like a decent person too. I'll never forget what she wore to the Oscars last Spring. She was an absolute vision!

Nicole Kidman is a dynamic actress who should have won an OSCAR a long time ago, actually She should have beat Halle Berry in 2002. Tall and elegant she is. Let's hear it for Nicole.

One of the top 5 best actresses and deffinately makes my list of top 10 most beautiful women. People find her cold but I find her real.

Without doubt my favourite actress of all time. Although she is brilliant in "The Others" as well as in "Eyes Wide Shut", her best interpretation in my eyes was that of "Moulin Rouge", simply enchanting"! :)
