Some people are just born lucky. That's what I think when I see her. I see a chick who's somewhat talented and average looking who somehow is geting prime roles and is considered sexy. Well if you dress her up well enough, then yes, she'll look good, but I think if you get her home sans make-up and frills you get an average girl. I will say she was great in the movie Election though.

I love her! She is a really good actress, and she's very pretty. I think she appeals tons to teenage girls (and guys...cough,cough) because she seems to have it all. While, no one is perfect, if there were to be a model of a cool, grounded, and well-rounded actress, it would be Reese Witherspoon.

Reese is a really great little actress. She has this underlying adorable way about her that is great in her comic roles. She can also do serious roles, for anyone that questions her acting ability I suggest you see Man in the Moon a great little movie Reese made when she was just 14 or 15

Reese is an ok actress. She can take on many different roles very well. But I always found her so hyper. Maybe it was just in her roles, but I don't go for overly hyper actresses.

Whaaat? Why is she the best actress on this list? Reese is just okay, nothing else. She's no "Meryl Streep" and thats for sure. Infact shes on par with acting as her man Ryan Phillipe. Plus she looks very, very weird.

Ok, she is cute, and really good in comedic roles, but I would hardly call her "the best actress in the world" I liked her in Election, Cruel Intentions, and Legally Blonde, but Sweet Home Alabama was one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.

I have seen a few of her movies and Reese did a good acting job in the ones I saw. I liked her in Election where she played the overachiever student "Tracey Flick" and I liked her in Legally Blonde. I have not seen a lot of her movies since some of them were "teenage" movies. I think she has a lot of potential though..

Reese is an awesome actress and also seems like a really nice person...I also giver her props for doing what she loves while raising a child and being a wife.

She has good range as an actress, but she's not the greatest looking. Legally Blonde was probably the best I've seen her act, and she wasn't bad in Sweet Home Alabama. She's not good on talk shows, and never knows what to say. She seems very down to earth and a generally nice person.

Reese Witherspoon is by far the best actress going right now. Even when Reese does a cheesy teen flick, her acting comes out superb and she always outshines the whole movie itself. She certainly deserves to be in movies that would win her Oscars. She is way too talented for some of the stuff she has been given lately. I loved her in Legally Blonde,and I am sure she is just as good in part 2. ELECTION was just a great movie period. I don't think it would have been anything without her however. But her best movie to date other than Cruel Intentions was FREEWAY. FREEWAY is a must see for all die hard Reese fans, and just regular fans alike. It is what truly made her a star. Keep up the good work Reese. I HIGHLY recommend her movies to all adults.

Reese is definitely the best actress right now. Whether you like her or not she's a proven A-List Actress. This decade she has almost single-handedly saved and carried films that were sure to be flops ( The Legally Blonde films, Sweet Home Alabama). She's paid her dues and her credibility has been good even before the surprise 2001 hit Legally Blonde (which she was nominated her 2nd Golden Globe). Her past films haven't been box-office draws, but have had great performances, 1999's Golden globe winning performance Election, the broken lover in the soapy Cruel Intentions, the materilistic slutty girl in Pleasentville, the vulnerable girlfriend in Fear, and one of my favorites the misunderstood juvenile delinquent in the independent film Freeway, also has notable roles in Man in the Moon, and Disney's A far off place which is her first film she carried at 15. She's only 27 and none of her peers or older actresses can seem to carry a descent performance whether in good or bad films on a consistent basis and some of these actresses haven't lived up to their big paychecks. Reese is no doubt in my mind the best in the business and she seems to only get better.

I know I'm in the minority on this issue but I just don't like her. Every movie I have ever seen her in sucked and made me want my money as well as the time I wasted back. I don't care if you agree with me or not. I think she's a very overrated actress with no talent and is also painful to watch. I hate Reese Witherspoon and if that's wrong then it'll be a cold day in hell before I'm right.

Did not used to like her, and still think her loser of a hubby reeks, but she is becoming a good actress. She is not doing Shakespeare, but heck, how many times do you want to see that anyway? She was excellent in Freeway, the Election, was perfect in Legally Blonde. I read her interview in Vanity Fair and she comes across as a very mature, caring, with it person.

So cute and so down to earth. Reese is the definition of innocence in her movies, and it's totally believable.
