Whoopi Goldberg deserves to be so much higher up on this list than she is. She is a big-hearted person who cares about people, and is an inspiration to many. I'm not to sure about her comedic talents, but she definately is a wonderful actress. Pluses (+): Her performance in "Ghost" was both comedic and dynamic. "The Color Purple" was definately her best role which won her an Oscar. Her work in "Ghosts of Mississippi" really, really impressed me when she played the widow of slain Civil Rights leader Medgar Evars. She truly has a lot of range- she can do dramas like the ones I listed, and she can do comedies such as "Made in America" opposite Ted Danson. Minuses (-): Cannot really think of anything bad to say about good ol' Whoopi, but I'm not a big fan of "Hollywood Squares".

I've enjoyed her on several shows, and she was a hoot in the movie Ghost. She did very well in The Color Purple, and Sister Act was also a good one for her. She really has to have top-notch material to be at her best. She's not one who can make just anything funny.

Whoopie is irritating and obnoxious, and she has been involved in a string of crappy films. Cowever, she is capable of a decent performance or two, best evident in her work on tv on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Mooch of her problem comes from her inability to overcome herself: on screen she is Whoopie Goldberg, period. The audience is rarely able to see her as a character, mostly because she is a celebrity, not a real actor. Her HBO specials weren't particularly funny either, and her outspoken politics is off-putting to some. The one performance the MooCow did enjoy from her, apart from the Star Trek stuff, was the small part of the cop in The Player. Perhaps a little bit of Whoopie goes a long way.

She's funny. Instead of relying on hype to sustain her career - unlike Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, and other actresses, Whoopi relies on her natural talents and abilities to make people laugh. I liked her best in 'Ghost'.

Sister Act was one of my favorite movies for the longest time! Whoopi is so talented and big-hearted, you can't help but love her!
