She is so beautiful and she can act! She is great playing Suanna Kaysen in Girl, Interrupted. She is really sweet and Mr.Deeds is so funny!

Ugh. I don't know why so many men think she's beautiful -- she looks like an anorexic monkey. Plus, if I walked into a store and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, my ass would be in prison right now and I'd probably have some beefy cell mate named Big Wanda. What doesn Winona get? A couple months community service, a fine, slap on the wrist, "You've been a bad little girl, Winona". Winona is a wonderful example of how we treat stars much better than the common person.

Winona ryder is without question my all time favourite actress....she is talented,brilliant and absolutely gorgeous.... what a great woman!!!

I applaud Winona on her role in Girl, Interrupted and on her courage in dealing with her shoplifting charge. It is incredibly refreshing to see an actress in a realistic light who, even with kleptomania and vicodin problem, manages to keep her grace. She is beauty, talent, and strength.

First rate actress with a long list of good moovies, and lovely girl-next-door charms, Winona Ryder is one of the MooCow's favorite actresses. True, lately she is known moore for bad flicks(Mr Deeds, Lost Souls) and kleptomania - why is it no one remembers that she helped search for an abducted little girl & offer a huge chunk of her own moolah as reward? She is smart, has a flawless face, and has shown a knack(at least early on) for choosing good underground films that showcased her talents. Let the gossip rags howl - the MooCow is all about Winona Ryder, and she is destined to be looked at as THE actress of her generation

As an actress, I would consider her average. She has been lucky enough to choose good films, but she has a tendency to act the same in all of them. She can't seem to play very diverse roles, it seems. They all become a hodgepodge of the same girl. Anyway, I must admit I lost some respect for her after she was accused of shoplifting. If anyone else had gotten accused of the same crime, they would have wound up doing some jail time. But because of who she is, she was let off fairly easily. Maybe in real life she is just as disturbed as the characters she often plays.

I really liked her career until that whole jewelery store thing. . .she loses a star for that. But I love her look. . .natural beauty in the LA land of silicone. I always felt she was underrated talen-wise. And who could forget 'Heathers'- one of the darkest comedies of all time.

I think she's okay. She has a good speaking voice which for some reason reallymatters to me and she was GREAT in Girl, Interrupted, which is one of my favorite movies. Playing a crazy person ain't easy and she did it very convincingly

She's one of my favorite actresses. I don't think she's weird at all. Remember her background - her parents were hippies and raised Winona and her siblings on a commune without electricity or running water until she was 12! No matter what, she is a beautiful and talented actress. We're lucky to be blessed with her presence. She is so natural and relaxed in her performances and those eyes! She can convey so much emotion through them and her wonderful facial expressions. i've enjoyed watching her since "Beetlejuice" and "Mermaids" on through to "Girl, Interrupted" and other films. She has a long and potential-filled career ahead of her, and I'm sure she'll win the Oscar for Best Actress within the next few years!

I hate to say it, but she has the same style of acting everytime I see her in a movie. Just like Jeff Goldblum and Keanu Reeves. All so monotone.

I have a great deal of respect for Winona Ryder. She did theatre work at the American Conservatory Theatre, and hardly any actors do theatre work these days. Also, I read somewhere that She's never been in a film that grossed more than 100 Million. For a double-oscar-nominated actress, that's pretty weird.You'd be suprised to see how much these people make. All of them. Just to know that she's not that sickeningly well paid makes me a huge fan. I also think it's wonderful that she takes on these off-beat challenging roles. I'm sure everybody who's reading this has probably heard that a billion times, but it really is true! Mon Dieu! She's gorgeous. Absolutely. Lovely complexion. I could eat that complexion with a spoon. No, I am not a stalker. I also respect her for her apparent involvement with V-Day, and she wears those "Free Leonard Peltier" buttons. I am also for both these causes, so I was thrilled to see that someone else(Particularly her) should also take an interest. She was also very involved when Polly Klaas was abducted. And so I respect her.

Here's another actress whose movies I usually enjoy. I mean, Winona is not a bad actress by any means, but she's got that creepy vibe going on as well. She just seems weird. But I guess weird is interesting, right? Oh, well, I have to give her only 3 stars because she freaks me out. I think it's her eyes.

Winona Ryder used to be a independent and beautiful person, but Hollywood has changed her into a shallow, selfish, and cold hearted b#$%$! Her acting so called "talent" has eroded to the point of repugnace. Her last 3 films show her to be nothing more than a pretty face. I hope for her shake she is saving all her lousy ill gotten funds she has accuired by swendeling honest people be seeing her pathetic attempts at acting.

Winona Ryder is plainly one of the best actresses that this universe has ever seen, and when I'm johnny depp my arm's gonna say Winona forever not like some other name brand johnny depp's, I mean really, "Wyno" Y you know. She should be in a movie called beautifulest girls, because she is.

I'd like to meet her to find out wheter she is a camera-phenomenon or a real-life-shot. Sometimes I think she's kinda devine in a rather kinky way, then I hesitate and get almost afraid that she's the boring kind of a talk-about-everything-but-don't-do-nothing-right glamour girl. Maybe it's just a wrong marketing strategy. Something has to be changed. Sorry, disappointed me.

Wynona is a wonderful actress. She has been an inspiration to me through her work. With her great personality, quick wit, humorously outspoken and also dramatical roles she has touched the audiences who watch her. My Wynona favorites include Beetle Juice, Heather's, Mermaids, Edward Scissorhands, Little Women, Reality Bites, GirlInterrupted, and what I believe was one of her best acting roles, in BRAMSTOKER'S DRACULA. I wish her the best of luck with Heather's 2.

"Smedley", this wouldn't be Novos would it? I like Winona. I think she's pretty, sexy, intelligent, weird, mystical, aunry, rye, and full of spitfire. I love active qualities in a woman like that. I like her voice and her narrative demeanor, it is the genteel volume and hiss-like back undertone that brings your attention toward her. She can send cold ice along your spine, or a warm tongue at the base of your ear...always teasing and choosing to deliver only if you qualify. She is an independant stance for women as a whole and I think that her variety in roles is the mark of a true professional actress. I'd like to see her in more Mid-eval era movies where she can portray a witch seducing a man into infidelity and madness, much like her role in Arthur Miller's 'The Crucible.' Women in life are like that. They will use deceit and sensuality to get their way, and Winona knows how to lift this part of herself out and throw it into her characters. She will cast a charm spell on you, and she will laugh when she has taken your heart. I like her name too, Wi no na. It's befitting her cute rarity and sexy femininity.

Winona Ryder could'nt act her way out of a cardboard box! And if she narrates one more movie I'm going to be ill. Whats up with that? Her voice is kind of grating on my ears.

I think she is agreat actress.and so what if she holds gweniths hand.it is her life she can do what ever she wants.I look up to her as a role model, because i want to be an actress.also i think it's cool that i was born on her birth day.so all you people who are hatin on her should not reconize her for her bad acting and reconize her for her good acting.I also thought her performance in girl,interrupted was awsome.

She's always been my favorite. I love watching all her movies, despite them being good or bad movies. Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Love her style and taste, and since she's a fellow Bay Area native, spikes my interest in her more. It's interesting to read about her and all that she has to say. I'll write more later when I feel like it...

I genuinely respect the hell out of the fact that she generally takes on highly challenging roles(The Crucible, Little Women, Girl Interrupted)...the problem is that she almost never meets the challenge. She seems to've been lost these last 5 or 6 years. The young hip generation x(I hate the term) girl is too old to play that part anymore. She needs to find a way to fit into adult roles better. Being "cool" just isn't enough anymore. By the way, Bram Stoker's Dracula has to be the worst-cast movie of all-time. Neither Ryder nor Reeves came within 100 miles of a mildly believable accent. It was painful to listen to.

she has made more of a name for herself by the rolls she has taken and not by the roles she has taken.Leave the young actors and musicians alone and concentrate on your career already.

Winona ryder is the number one actress in hollywood, no...shes better then anybody that set foot on hollywood. I like her because her roles and herself made me realize things i have never realized befor, besides her outstanding talent, shes natuarly beautiful, shes not like other actresses that put on a mask everytime they leave there house, shes herself,, and shes smart YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN!!!

Lost Souls was the S***!!! I just wish everyone would stop complaining about the lack of special effects. This has to be one of Winnie's best performances.....waiting for sequel.

She's begining to upset me. She was a better actress when she was younger, probably because her figure and her looks are much more compatible with the young age. Now that's she's becoming all grown up, she's also becoming less of an actress. She looks fake.

she is pretty and she does real great with certain kinds of roles, the funny-weird ones like in beetlejuice and mermaids. but she's not really fit for drama as she demonstrated in girl interrupted. nevertheless i've always kinda liked her.

I liked her originally, thought she was good in Eddie Scissorhands and Little Women, but now all her roles seem the same,,,too sweet and too innocent or something...I thought she was terrible in Girl,Interrupted and her worst to date had to be Autumn in New York with Richard Gere...

Winona already has quite an extensive filmography, and she is only 30 or so, right?! Amazing versatility from Heathers and Lucas to Girl, Interrupted. She was also the perfect portrayal of Joe in Little Women as the independent and strong tomboy turned author. She is believable as a cute young girl as well as deeper characters. An all around great actress.
