Honestly, if she was a girl in your office or your town, instead of an over-paid, over-publicized actress with good bone structure, you'd be calling her a whore. And yes, I used to think she was an okay actress, even liked her in Gia, but when she goes and puts her private life on Primetime telling the world she's doing it to bring attention to the plight in Africa and tries to portray herself as a role model for young girls, she's gone waaaaay too far. I was taught that when you do charity work, unless you do it anonymously, your doing it for the wrong reasons,, just trying to make yourself look good. And that girl can't give a dime to charity without telling the world about it..that's the kinda person she is.

Angelina Jolie is AMAZING. She is one of the most beautiful people in the world, and her acting skills are incredible. Those of you who say she's ugly, please, don't kid yourself, u kno ur just jealous. And those of you that claim u really don't like her lifestyle or what she does, then get a life of ur own, why are u even on her bitching about the people you don't like? I find Angelina Jolie's life accomplishments and theories fascinating. She's done some weird stuff, but at least she's brave enough to experiment. I love her. Their seems to be no middle ground with this actress, you either love her or you hate her. I love her acting skills. Rarely do you find an actress today who is extrordinarly beautiful and can act at the same time. Her performance is very good in girl interrupted, very believable. But her best performance to date in my opinion was in Alexander. Her performance in this movie was one of the best i have ever seen. Truely a great actress. If you focus on her on acting ability and not her personal life or beliefs, then you will see her for her exceptional ability as an actress.

I usually don't go to alot of lengths to defend movie stars but I really don't see what people have against her. What do you have against humanitarian causes? She was in Pakistan weeks after the earthquake there, she has gone to the ends of the earth to help children. And it is not some publicity stunt, if that were the case she could have just wrote a big check like other stars do. Brad and Jennifers' breakup was a mutual decision, he wanted children, she was too busy with her career. Angelina is not all-Hollywood, she doesn't hang out and party in Beverly Hills every night, doesn't go on Oprah and Dave Letterman everyday to plug herself. She doesn't make 10 movies a year and have to be the center of Hollywoods attention. She's a private person and wants a life outside of Hollywood. Yea, she's pretty, is that a crime?

Another one of those hyped up actresses that I can't stand. Her acting is only satisfactory, and the whole thing with Brad Pitt is way too much. I must say, I admire her for adopting her children, but lots of people do that.

I laugh at all the posts about what a "kind and generous person she is..." as if these people have met her. As for her sex appeal, that's funny too because all I see is a woman trying way to hard to be sexy, with her bizarre, cocky posturing in every film. She is essentially the same character in every film...the "oh, look at me, I am an arrogant bitch trying to pout for the camera, all the while pretending to be oblivious to how calculating I am." Blah, blah, blah. Again, never met the woman, this is just how she comes across to me. There is something incredibly skanky about her despite the image she tries to project.

Judging Angelina Jolie on her work as an actress and not her private life or her image, I would have to say that I'm still confounded by her. First of all she has extroadinarily bad choice in roles. She has appeared in some horrible, paperbag flops but then she pulls a performance like Lisa from Girl Interrupted out of seeming nowhere. With that role and that Oscar win, she proved that she does have some real, talented grit for acting. But while she excels at the psychotic, unique roles, she flounders in others. Certainly her looks and her public antics have gotten her acclaim much more than acting ever did. Still I'm waiting for her to surprise me with another spectacular performance because I think somewhere she's got the goods to do it.
