Is amazing¡¡¡¡Is one of my favorite actors¡¡¡

Hoffman can take you from the tedium of suburbia to the old west to a mental hospital and you believe and care about every person he becomes along the way. He is an exceptionally gifted actor. His one and only major flop was "Ishtar" and somehow, I find it easier to blame Beatty for that. But then, I admit to being extremely prejudiced in this case.

Too Short

He certainly has played performances with grand diversity. The problem, perhaps the main one, is that I'm still NOT overly impressed by any of them. He is, still, an American icon of an actor. A " Star," with talent. .....

Dustin Hoffman is an incredibly talented actor. "The Graduate" and "Kramer vs. Kramer" proved him as a force to be reckoned with. His performance in "Tootsie" was nothing less than inspired. He outdid himself, though, in the classic "Rain Man." I don't think anyone else could have played that part with such sensitivity and passion. He certainly deserves the Oscar awards that undoubtedly adorn his mantle.

One of my favorite movies is still The Graduate what a wonderful role he played as the aimless recent graduate who falls into an affair with his parents friend Mrs. Robinson and hey call me crazy but youch! she was looking pretty good at the time. That may have been a tough call for a lot of 21 yr. old men. It's only gotten better since then...All the Presidents Men..The Marathon Man okay okay so he's had a few dogs like Family Business or Outbreak but all in all I'd say he deserves an Edgar Derby double thumbs up.

HE SUCKS

If you think about the diversity of roles Dustin Hoffman has played, it's impossible not to consider him a great actor. Take "Rain Man," "Tootsie," and "Wag the Dog," to name a few. I see him as a male version of Meryl Streep.

this guy is has done it all and has done it excellent!

I've to admit that he's a really talented actor. I hate his attitude though.

Dustin Hoffman is the consumate actor. Great all-around actor ranging from funny to intense.

I think Dustin is an amazing actor - he appears in such a diversity of films and amazingly evolves into such different characters w/ each film.
