Tim is one of the better reporters around. He seems honest, sincere and I trust what he says

Lap dog for democraps and other socialism loving, koolaid drinking lemings and other linguini spined paracites. An utter discrace as an American. Perfect for the extremist leftist NBC,or CBS, or ABC, or CNBC, or MSNBC, or CNN, or NPR or...... Lothe him and the rest of ilk!

I can't believe someone said he is a Liberal. Russert has an agenda. I think it may be something to do with his being a Catholic and I suspect anti-choice. He goes after Democrats like Clinton, Gore, Howard Dean and others like a dog with a bone BUT put a Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney on his show and he not only gives them a pass but cravenly fawns over them. I have no respect for his integrity, he belongs on Fox(Faux).

----- To: MTP@NBC.com From: chriswilson@yourmom.com Date: Sun, 13 Jul 2003 09:42:57 Subject: Tim Russert ----- Hello, This note serves to respond to Tim Russert's interview with Senator Bob Graham of Florida on Sunday, July 13th. Saying that Senator Graham's daily keeping of a detailed notebook was both 'obsessive' and 'strange' was truly the penultimate grasping at straws within the arena of the political on-air body slam. New Advertising Campaign! 'MSNBC...THE PENULTIMATE POLITICAL ON-AIR BODY SLAM...' You guys could have buffed dudes out there along with fake boobed chicks licking chopsticks too...what do you think? But I digress... This is for Tim. I want to know Tim: Who the HELL do you think you are? Because I will tell you right now that you are a sharkheaded 2-bit TV journalist and not much else. Any many, many see this, Tim. There are many seeing right through you now Timmy. Also of note: Most people do not like you, Tim. In fact, many use the term ASS when referring to your worm-like posturing and interrogation. Further: You are filial, a Wonris with a shark's head propped up with so many wires and bendable metal sticks. You are PAID to press prurient agendas for the dumbed down masses...bogus name calling is you and there are so, so many of us wishing that you'd go away. Here's the deal Tim: We want you to go away. Tim, how so many of us wish that you'd go away, just slink away back to your miserable hole, go away and stop wandering up, slinking back up there, up there and into your seat, sitting there so aggressive and determined there sitting there before the camera eye. So many of us wish you'd go away with your angry sharkhead and go away and think long and hard about your true values and the predatory instincts you represent and emanate outward...yet know so nothing, so little about. Because Tim, it is not in your nature and yet there you are, Tim, still defying your nature. All in the name of the devil. The devil has you now Tim. What do you think about that now, Tim? How does it make you feel? Because there are so many of us wishing for you to go far away sir. There truly are so many of us wishing that you'd leave, Tim. Representing thousands upon millions calling for Tim's departure, Christopher Wilson Aptos, CA

Russert, at best, has a People magazine approach to politics. If a politician or a policy is popular, he may begin by asking a tough question but, upon receiving a standard spin, will promptly roll over to have his tummy scratched. If encountering a politician or a policy that has irked the current Administration, he is likely to bark and blather in the style of Faux News. He, like other "celebrity" pundits, never seems to focus on underlying issues, prefering sound bites to real bite.
Jesse27 06/22/2003
I used to like him but lately it looks like Tim is in bed with the Bush Admin. like many others.
sunglazd 06/04/2003
He is OK, but he seems too soft on people, he lets them ramble and double speak and never calls them on it, or makes them stick to answering the question he presented. I rarely watch anymore just due to this.
mpkmayo 04/25/2003
Truly, one of the best TV personalities of our generation. By far, the most objective, fair and even-handed talk-show-host on network TV. The country and specifically, NBC, Buffalo and Irish-Americans are blessed to have such an amazing person as our spokesperson!

Sunday, April 12, Tim Russert interviewed Donald Rumsfeld. In his response to the looting of hospitals and the antiquities museum Rumsfeld responded that the allies couldn't be guarding every facility (the museum had even asked for guards). I want to know, and Tim Russert didn't ask Rumsfeld, how it was that we had people guarding the Ministry of Oil but not other very vital facilities. I would like to submit a query to Tim Russert and would like some help in finding an avenue with which to do so.

tim russert is a piece of crap--he is a lousy terrorist sympathizer--he and arnett should be dispatched to syria

This guy is awesome. I have been watching him for years. Unlike O'Reilly, whom I can only tolerate in small doses, Mr. Russert never gets on my nerves. He is an excellent interviewer, and his pit bull style is effective, without being perceived as abrasive or condescending.
kristigacke 04/11/2003
It is my humble opinion that Tim Russert is underserving of any other rank but "Terrile!" Anyone who provides a forum for Micheal Moore, who has done nothing but personally profit from violent tragedies, is unworthy of my attention.
fuzzerson 04/01/2003
Left wing bias. But ok interviewer. Pacing is slow. Does he have a neck problem?
gjfmcd 03/23/2003
One of the few journalist I will listen to. He is fair, objective, and articulate. I don't watch Ch.5 (in Seattle) to often as it tends to be too one-sided and very liberal. A very good example that I can give is his handling of the Clinton era. I never could tolerate that man, nor Mrs. Clinton, as I was one of those mothers who stayed at home for my children, and the neighborhood children so they would have a place to go. Also I was the one baking those cookies she referred to so often. In watching Tim Russert's handling of the news at that time (the Clinton era) I was always aware of his fairness and politeness in his interviews. I did not always agree with him, but always respected him and still do. I honestly have never been able to tell if he is liberal or conservative. Republican or Democrat. That is unusual as it is usually apparent with many of the other journalists. I thank you Tim Russert and please keep up the good work. gjfm

Keep it goin Tim...really enjoy your political discussions and your questioning on Meet the Press.
John Vincent 03/09/2003
The most informed, fair, and tough interviewer on television. Always a pleasure as well as an education yo watch.

I find Tim to be highly intelligent and a very knowledgeable moderator on Meet the Press.

Usually fair and usually portrays a good image. A class act in the wolfpack-dominated world of journalism. Little known fact- Russert is a Buffalo NFL fan and a graduate of John Carroll University!
RDW1299 02/02/2003
Always has the same pained expression on his face - like he has been constipated for weeks.
Ralph Sheppard 01/26/2003
I was very disappointed with your questioning the White House Chief this morning. He never answered a question that you posed. You allowed him to do that without a challenge. Why do you allow this kind of mis-inforation to be broadcast. Why is Mrs Clinton not referred to as Senator Clinton which is her title. All others are reffered to as congresswomen, congressman, Senator but she is referred to as Mrs Clinton, Why? I watch you every Sunday at 10;30 IN NY and 9AM in Florida. This is the first time I have ever been so incensed with your performance, allowing the White House to get away with using your program for their false rhetoric. Why did you not jump all over him?
riley 01/17/2003
He's a good interviewer (vs. journalist) but stop with the Go Bills! thing already. You're a millionaire living in posh southern Montgomery County Maryland. Buffalo is a dump and you know it.
Shukhevych 12/08/2002
He's a liberal, but I love his style on "Meet the Press."
Lexeydog 11/26/2002
It's always fascinating to watch his interviews. He asks the tough, and GOOD questions, and doesn't accept a bunch of spin. Also, he has such an unpretentious style and an earnestness that recalls the "diginified" and serious jounalists of the old days.
Nose for bias 11/10/2002
Unwilling to bite the hand that feeds him, Tim Russert is a lousy debate moderator and fails to enlarge his pitbull interview style to include important national concerns. A better fit for Fox's bias than for NBC's supposed objectivity.
TimBSDCA 10/29/2002
Stop reading your own press clippings.
Cynical Sam 02/20/2002
Completely objective, and never misses critical information. He asks all the tough questions and keeps after his guests with bulldog tenacity if they dodge or attempt to change the subject. Hands down the best news personality on television.
mr B 02/06/2002
Just the best, hands down.
Keltic 01/06/2002
I like Tim Russerts easy going style. He is always calm and unruffled, yet he gets the job done and puts everyone he interviews at ease. He does a very good job and is unbiased. I like watching him do an interview - also very smart.
sactojlm 01/06/2002
Living proof that a nice guy can ask questions that can make someone sweat like Mike Tyson at a spelling bee.
Carol Aiken 09/14/2001
Love Tim Russert! ALWAYS watch Sunday mornings and very much appreciate his comments on various political events. We value his opinion!

Won't let a bone go once he has it. Probably the best journalist at NBC!
