Werther's Originals deserve the #1 place on this site, because they are the original candy. They are the first candies ever made I belive, and they put tons of work into making these I heard. You have to make the butterscoth and then the coating which is a hard caramel with chocolate flavoring, and it needs lots of corn syrup. Hopeufully, this review will bring it up to being #1.

I think Werther's Originals are the best candy of this type. Most others I find too buttery and too rich and they give me a sick feeling. But Werther's are just the right blend, and very flavourful and nicely simple. Last Christmas I gave out several of the nice gold tins of Werther's Originals as gifts.

Smooth,creamy and yummy.If you are going to buy butterscoth or toffee candy buy this one. It melts in your mouth and leaves you reaching for the bag to have another one.

Tasty. The creamy, buttery caramel is delicious. Very sweet. I like the homey feeling you get, especially with the picture of a cottage house. Needs better advertising in order to survive against big time candy corporations.

I LOVE caramel and Werther's Original lets you have one candy to work for 5-15 minutes. Its taste is simply great.

They are good and you never ever tire of them. They aren't like the candy you eat and it is so sweet that you don't want it ever again for a long, long time. Plus they are small and pocketsize.

Nice hard candy, half butterscotch/half toffee flavor with a nice texture...I think these are better than any medicine if you have a sore throat...

An underrated candy. I'm not exactly sure how to describe Werther's... They're hard candies - like those little butterscotch things - except the flavor is closer to toffee or something. The strange this is that I don't like toffee flavored anything, but I like Werther's. It's an old-time candy that's worth a try.
