What and how did the term 'politically correct' come from? I see it as a term the liberal radicals came to form and pushed (another pot session in a gay orgy?) - like they push all wreck of society - until this 'term' was accepted. WTF does 'political' or 'correct' have to do wth ANYTHING in our society TODAY? Our politicians can't or aren't qualified to do their job - WORK FOR US...The term itself HAS NO PLACE - just AS THEY DON"T - the retarded that have gotten away with this crap for years until it is now solidified in what they think they have to do or are obligated to - the PEOPLE - and we swallow it and use that term... I don't - it makes no sense .... we should ban that term.... and amend the Constitution for a lot of 'other issues' that make no sense - as this document truly needs ratification.... and some amending TODAY...

I have better words for it (PC) .... degenerate... weak... puss... coward.. on and on... any excuse goes... lets run naked in the streets and smoke dope - hell make all drugs legal (stossel)...

Hey MISTER - or are you 'progressive' - gay? Don't hold us to a term that makes no sense or has no place - it in itself is contradictory..

As for this worm you oberscheist ... take that PC thing - the 'term' and whatever you type on and shove it up your butt..Keith Obermann... then bounce up and down on your chair - the output - put that on your show - it will make more sense....

America is waking up and you may need to find a quick way out of the country... soon I hope...

Hey - nice avatars - the barn animals need to go to the MSNBC crew and their fans - I am a pretty rooster though...

Olbermann is the most obnoxious, arrogant, egotistical, pompous,
conceited, lousy excuse for a reporter or commentator I have ever seen besides Rachel Maddow. They both should be fired.
Neither of them have a clue about good journalism.

This guy is to journalism what whoring is to sex. A sterling example of the television cult of personality over substance. There's no analysis here, and the bias is shallow, and trivial. I don't mind bias in reporters, in fact I expect and welcome it, as long as it comes with some brains. No evidence of that with this former sports meat puppet.

I was never a huge fan of Olbermann, and have begun to like him even less. I have a problem with some people labeling him a reporter, because his lack of objectivity clearly makes him a liberal commentator. Sure there are some news facts spread throughout his broadcast, but the point of his show is to persuade, not to inform. I don't care much for his smarmy type of humor, but it worked a bit when he was doing Sportscenter. It was different and generally well accepted. With his current program he just comes across as a condescending jerk. I want to be informed of the facts, and not yelled at when I'm watching a television program. His wit and humor aren't enough for me to keep my interest.

I don't mind an opinion on President Bush, but the disrepect and true hate that comes out of his mouth is dispicable! This guy should be fird!!! I am banning MSNBC. Original Comment (2/19/05): I guess Keith Olbermann hasn't learned anything regarding bias in journalism. Not that Olbermann is even a legitimate journalist, but if he had any common sense, he ought to be reporting the news down the line instead of adding his stupid, personal commentary and passing it off as if it were fact. Though the Countdown has been entertaining, Olbermann now clouds its success by increasingly adding his biased opinions. He ought to be more professional, but knowing how Olbermann has a history of being unable to get along with others, it may just be wishful thinking. But the fact remains Olbermann has a habit of burning bridges and turning off others (despite his success).

Update (9/09/08): Keith Olbermann's inability to keep his opinions to himself at anytime during national telecast, as well as his penchant for rude, obnoxious behavior towards anyone (and/or anything) he even remotely disagrees with, has finally cost him his hosting duties for MSNBC's political coverage of the 2008 Presidential Election. Though I do not feel one iota of remorse for this snide jerk who is said to throw his weight around MSNBC (due largely to the success of his Countdown), I do feel at the same time that Chris Matthews (comparatively a much more professional and hardworking newsman at MSNBC) has been unfairly thrown under the bus due to the much-reported infighting usually initiated by the ego-driven Olbermann during the Republican National Convention (and of which, at one point Olbermann even insulted his fellow liberal in Matthews). If true, it is sad to see that cohesiveness and teamwork at MSNBC has taken a backseat to Olbermann's selfish ego and self-perceived superiority.

Ubergoober was a fine sports guy, but, come on, let's be real here. Just because you have an opinion and have some experience in broadcast facetime, does this make you a political observer? If so, I'm just an under-employed political observer who is a damn sight better to look at than Ubergoober, and a whole lot smarter as well. He is an idiot who all the other idiots turn to when the mean 'ol Republicans hurt a overly sensitive feeling.

This guy has fallen off the cliff since he joined the Obama bandwagon and now acts like a cult member.  He must be angling for a job with a possible Obama administration (dream on!).  He also never has the cojones to have anyone on his show who he disagrees with, instead, as a previous poster here said, having his irritating Mini-Me, Rachel Maddow (they even have the same haircut!) on to bat her lesbian eyes at him and agree with his every utterance.  Very, very sad waste of talent.

I think his low ratings compared to Bill O'reilly's prove no one, republican or democrat, is watching him. He is incredibly quick to judge, and more often than not he is proven wrong. He spews out a lot of hateful things. He can be as arrogant and wrong as he likes, especially since MSNBC is owned by NBC. They are the least objective news group out of the major networks. Olbermann only has people who share his views on, never anyone with an opposing view. Having the #1 show on MSNBC is relative, especially since he has half the viewership than Bill O'reilly.

From one who currently serves this country in uniform and has served in combat in Afghanistan, Olbermann is truly hated by the vast majority of us in uniform (from hundreds of comments I have heard). His comments hurt morale and just fuel our enemy with negative propaganda. We simply turn the channel on AFRTS whenever Countdown comes on. Even some troops that I know who are democrats can't stand this guy.

Not asthetically pleasing. . .does not pull of arrogance or bombast well. . .I think news outlets need to emphasize less personality and more actual news.  Liberal?  Trashing the stupid mistakes and shocking errors of this administration isn't liberal- it's intelligent.  But answers to the issues won't come from the simple formula of "redneck/neocon station here. . .other station here!"  News outlets should always be critical of the gov't instead of trolling for ratings, approval, and future favors.  Keith O. isn't a phantom 'left' solution to the media's terrible complicity with this administration- he's part of the problem of substituting entertainment for news.

An arrogant liberal dingbat with a microphone.  No objectivity.  No ability to balance ideologies.  No sense of responsibility to maintain anything resembling balance in his political "analysis" nor anything resembling the ability to do so.  He is a minor, temporary figure in the nearly unanimous liberal-leaning (to the point of toppling over) American media, which is shamelessly rooting for Barack Obama against Hillary Clinton and, inevitably, John McCain, their favorite republican.  Who would be the equivalent, on the right, of Keith?  Laura Ingraham?  Glenn Beck?  No, someone further into the abyss.  Definitely a personality, hence the 2 rating.  But there are so many whose identical views he shares, you can hardly get a piece of papaer between any two of them.

Let's face it.  The numbers don't lie, unless of course you're a data analyst in the Bush Administration, where THEY DAMNED BETTER or you're out of a job.  Olbermann consistently--to paraphrase the prez after his rare moment of doubt pursuant to the 2006 elections--WHUMPS O'Reilly.  I'm a little tired of his poking at Bill, which is about as fun as burning ants through a magnifying glass...fun at first, but it gets old.

Keith's going to be, and is, on the road to "great future" while O'Reilly will be dressing down his guests and squeezing little girls' "nalgas."  Putting O'Reilly ahead of Olbermann means one of about four things:

1.  You cannot abide by anyone who doesn't do the GOP lemming dance ("Helmy, you're doin' a heckuva job"); 2.  You don't "get" Olbermann, which leads to; 3.  You need to have a sardonic wit to appreciate Olbermann's; 4   You have perfected psychological projection, which implies that all of the issues you find fault with (on O'Reilly and others), you misdirect and place onto the portrait of Olbermann.  Who knows?  You and I will always disagree about Keith.  Tell me your opinion, Gary, of Chris Matthews; maybe we can agree on something.

Oh, and Gary, women are always perfect little adorable truth-tellers, aren't they?  They have nothing to gain by lying, do they?  [Thinking of Tawanna Brawley, the Duke Lacrosse fiasco, Runaway Bride, the list goes on and on...]  Despite his low ratings in bed, he's obviously doing something right on TV?  I wonder if Ms. Brown-Haired beauty would be so kind to "do" O'Reilly so we could further perpetuate the feud.  [Now feels like an idiot himself, a la O'Reilly, after realizing he just responded to a participant with a (0) behind the user name...]

Olberman is such a self-consumed, smarmy fraud. His elitist little gig draws the pseudo-intellectual liberals whose contribution to society is to whine with great conviction. And remember this: Olberman Gets Low Ratings in Bed October 9, 2006 -- A BROWN-haired beauty who claims she had an unsatisfying one-night stand with Keith Olbermann is getting her sweet revenge - she's launched a blog to warn other women about the acerbic MSNBC commentator's boorish bedroom habits. The bitter babe, who calls herself KarmaBites1, says she doesn't want others "to fall into the same trap . . . and I want him to feel some remorse for what he's done . . . He sets his mind on a woman, lures her in, and once he gets what he wants, he refuses to ever speak to them again. And I don't think he understands the damage he's caused." A 30-something office worker of Caribbean descent, KarmaBites1 said she struck up an e-mail friendship with Olbermann, whom she admired, and agreed to fly to New York to meet him last May. She says he came to her hotel room and opened a bottle of Merlot which he "spilled all over." Then, when "sexual activity began [in] less than an hour," Olbermann had difficulty. "I pretended he knew what he was doing," the embittered blogger writes. "I adored the guy. I didn't want him to think he was a dud in bed," so she faked experiencing ecstasy. Next, he piled on excuses as to why he had to leave. "He told me he's an insomniac and that it's hard for him not to sleep in his own bed. He also mentioned he hadn't had 'company' in a while. [He said] he had an early meeting with the Yankees [and] he might be allergic to the pillows in the hotel bed." Six days later, she claims, Olbermann e-mailed her to tell her never to contact him again. "I practically begged him to explain what I did wrong. I told him I deserved some kind of explanation for such a dismissal, but I never heard from him again." She said she's since heard from six other women who say they had brief sexual relationships with Olbermann. She named her blog forthisreliefmuchthanks.blogspot.com, after a line from "Hamlet" she says the perennial bachelor quoted. Olbermann's spokeswoman said she'd get back to us, but didn't. What a loser.

This is a look inside the Congress and Senate culture of corruption. We voted Democrates with the empty promises they would clean up the corruption.

FACT:

* Democrats seeking votes for their Iraq-withdrawal plan have stuffed the bill it's in with billions of dollars.

*It's plain that Democrats are unwilling to approve the bill's $100 billion for Iraq and Afghanistan without devoting considerable sums of money to themselves.

*Funding U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to carry items that can't advance as easily on their own.

*$74 million for a peanut storage program
*$25 million for spinach farmers
*farmers would get $4.3 billion ...
*2.9 billion for levee and other aid for the Gulf Coast

Washington always thought of themselves first. This is PORK, PORK, PORK, using the troop bill to advance your own political agenda is just disgusting. Let's put a stop to this, please contact your senators and congressman to tell them your concerns.
This report made me sick to my stomach. Our troops are putting their lives on the line and all Washington is thinking of is PORK.

Why is the media not covering this story. We need to keep these clowns accountable for corruption.

Keith is BRILLIANT and 100% honest. I can't believe that he's been allowed to keep his show as "controversial" as he is. (that's pronounced "honest", by the way) I think his continued run on cable-satellite news is due to the fact that he can beat Chris Matthews' flabby ass like a deflated speed bag. If Phil Donahue would have got all up in that sissy-bitch Chrissie-poo's grill, he'd probably still have HIS job too.
