Where was keith when I smoked all that weed, drank all the time, wined about anyone with moral fiber, bashed all who took a moral high road, and generally loathed those that had the audacity and the forum to stand firm for what is right? I was great at cheap shots and I could handily embarrass anyone who did not display similar characteristics as my own and or was not in agreement with me. Where were you when I needed you, Keith? P.S. I all grown up now....bye!

Accurate, hard hitting and insightful. He describes a story in complete and vivid detail. I see the whole picture and all sides of the story from Keith. If I want the complete truth, I watch Keith's show.
oysterbay 02/07/2007
olbermann rocks!
Krypto 10/05/2006
Tries too hard, but a great talent
louiethe20th 09/14/2006
An idiot on a network with really low ratings. Olberman should have stuck to Sportcenter, he was actually entertaining on there.
debzwalking 08/31/2006
Keith Olbermann is the absolute best on TV. His is the only show, and I do mean the ONLY show, I make certain I watch. He is bright, witty, and dead-on with his commentary. We need more like him. He is definitely in the mold of Edward R Murrow!!
Krinda 08/31/2006
ast night, Keith Olbermann, anchor of MSNBC's Countdown asserted, "The man who sees absolutes, where all other men see nuances and shades of meaning, is either a prophet, or a quack. Donald H. Rumsfeld is not a prophet." Olbermann took Rumsfeld to task for his statement that people who express dissent to this administration's war policies are suffering from "moral or intellectual confusion." There are far too few moments like this in mainstream American media. Please let MSNBC know that you want them to continue to support this kind of honest reporting, and not bow to right wing pressure to pull the show. Keith Olbermann has officially gone off of the deep end. First and foremost, he is *obsessed* with Bill O'Reiliy. He mentions hims nearly daily, with constant smear attacks, misquotes, and bad information in an attempt to polarize what few viewers he has left. And, in addition, his liberal bias is quite obvious, as he constantly names people like Michelle Malkin "the worst person in the world", while not even naming people like the punk villain leader of Hezbollah the worst person once!
sammydammy 04/07/2006
Sometimes I find Keith O funny, and other times his show is annoying to me. At least he does something different with the news, so I give him credit for that. He's annoying when he tries too hard to be funny, and just comes of as silly or pretentious. But when his natural humor and sarcasam work it can be quite amusing. I think the format of Countdown is too contrived and forced, and his natural comic abilities would be better suited to some other show.
caligula 03/28/2006
Funny and the only notable "liberal" show on news channels (even though he seems more like a moderate than a true liberal- it's just in contrast to the extremists on Faux propoganda that he appears "liberal"). Show's ratings are in the toliet, though, so my opinion is clearly in the minority.
iavila 01/03/2006
Keith Olbermann.....Do I need to tell you that he consistently falls at the bottom of the ratings? His rants are too old for me now so I stopped watching his show long ago. What a character, he does nothing but complain....I rather watch a bad movie than watch such a loser.
skikittykitty 12/28/2005
I agree with the previous poster. Keith is a breath of fresh air, almost as good as Jon Stewart!
j2e 11/24/2005
When is comes to news with humor, Olberman is without a doubt the best. He's a bit biased, but leans my way, so that's OK.
columbus1063 11/08/2005
Best combination of news and humor on TV today. He is a bit biased but almost all of the cable leading men/women have some sort of bias. He has what it takes to attract the Internet generation to the news. Plus, I like his occasional foray into UFO news as part of his Top 5-I get the feeling perhaps Keith believes there's something to it. With his relatively light format, he can broach this topic without being labelled a nut. Bravissimo, Olbermann!!
Rebel1956 10/31/2005
Funny as hell! Sees stupidity and foolishness and calls it what it is mockingly. Puppet Theater is a scream! Even my 14 year old loves how foolish it makes the pretentious seem.
Anna Caspersen 09/05/2005
Thank God for his commentary on 9-5-05. It is about time someone in the media had the courage to tell the truth about the Bush administration's lack of empathy, sympathy or even a touch of compassion for the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. I know who the we is that Bush keeps referring to in his speeches. He obviously believes he has been crowned king and it is the royal we used by antiquated royalty. I think he should abdicate with his entire court! Instead, he is has been so concerned with 1. the economy and 2. pushing Roberts to the Chief Justice position even before he has been confirmed to the Supreme Court. Bush's priorities are very clear. I get the message and I hope other people will, too. Keep bringing the truth, Keith!
prince2010 08/25/2005
Keith Olbermann is the least objective journalist on cable these days and he should resign from his post as soon as possible.
Craven Moorehead 08/06/2005
Keith, I like how you rip on the competition (especially O'Reilly), but please, tone down the act a notch! Sometimes I think you are trying to out-ego Sean Hannity (an imposssibility to be sure). You finally have a good gig so don't blow it by trying to be bigger than the news you present.
singsplatsing 04/07/2005
The Project for Excellence in Journalism, a Washington-based research group, offers a three-part breakdown of cable journalists voicing their opinions. From 11 a.m. to noon, this happened on 52 percent of the stories on Fox, 50 percent on MSNBC and 2.3 percent on CNN. Among news-oriented evening shows, journalist opinions were voiced on 70 percent of the stories on Fox's Special Report With Brit Hume, due in part to its regular analysts panel at the show's end; 9 percent on MSNBC's Countdown With Keith Olbermann; and 9 percent on CNN's NewsNight With Aaron Brown. As for the most popular prime-time shows, nearly every story -- 97 percent -- contained opinion on Fox's O'Reilly Factor; 24 percent on MSNBC's Hardball With Chris Matthews; and 0.9 percent on CNN's Larry King Live. King devoted nearly half his time to entertainment and lifestyle topics. . . . -- Howard Kurtz, The Washington Post, 3-1905 So all you luzers saying Countdown is just a showcase for Keith's opinions can bl0w me. And I can't believe you're stupid enough to think that Keith himself actually believed all those hairbrain recount theories about the 2004 election.
ellis 03/31/2005
Probably should have stayed on SportsCenter, but he's extremely funny. As usual with Keith, the ego's the problem. Tone it down, my friend, you're on MSNBC!
KOdaLuser 02/15/2005
KO...good name for his career, is a journalistic hack chasing the Pulitzer like a ho chasing cash... Ohio irregularities? Yeah, right...nice try
riffraff 12/09/2004
Okay, I'm biased, but Cornell grad who signed his name above the bar at Dunbar's (409 Eddy St. in Collegetown) at Cornell University. If you go there, ask for Pep and tell 'em Ike sent ya!
mkonikoff 12/07/2004
Keith... thanks for the great show. You are one of a kind. Keep it up.
scoopie 11/27/2004
The best! Incredible! The only newsman with a nose for news in today's conservative corporate media! And, Chalky, if you don't think he's funny it's not because of him. It's because you don't have a sense of humor. You probably think Get 'er Done is funny. Oh - and I'm from and live in the South. So the Northeastern elitist comments won't apply to me.
writerswrite20 04 11/26/2004
Keith Olbermann is a reminder of how one person can make a difference simply by caring enough to do what is right.
Chalky 11/23/2004
are there that many olbermann fans that disagree w/me.........nope, i just think it's keith disquised as different users disagreeing w/me. okay, the whole premise of 'countdown' is pretty stupid.....he's not funny at all
DaddyFatSaxxx 11/21/2004
Very funny and great commentator. I've been a big fan of Keith's since Sportscenter.
RaterX 11/20/2004
He has the worst rug I have ever seen on TV.
disfibulator88 11/17/2004
I applaud Olbermann's courage in the face of overwhelming adversity. He reminds me of the days when the media actually did its journalistic duties.
Hobbes199 11/15/2004
Keith Olbermann is a beacon in these days of smokey journalism.
almydoggies 11/15/2004
Intelligence, wit, and guts--he's a treasure!
redheadedwoman 11/15/2004
Keith Olbermann is THE man. His newscast is the only one worth watching these days. He actually devotes REAL time to issues, and still finds time to throw in the absurd too. His show is a must-see in my house and it should be in yours too.
KentuckyDem 11/15/2004
Absolutely the best on TV right now. Gone are the unbiased and fair reporters like Cronkite, Brinkley, Huntley. We are left with the likes of Matthews, Hannity, O'Reilly, Scarborough, Russert and the rest of the RNC wannabe ilk. Olbermann stands out like a shining star of truth in a very dark and murky industry. He is concise, accurate, fair, and very funny. I do not every detect any partisanship in his reporting. The rest of the news media people could learn a thing or two from Oblermann. Great, Great, Great! Hope he keeps reporting on the voter fraud and not get jerked off the network for his work - he is the only one who has the guts to report the story.
cade5 11/15/2004
He should stick to sports. He sucks as a news journalist.
susan771 11/14/2004
Please keep reporting on the vote fraud. We love you!
gmc 11/14/2004
Keith Olbermann is a real journalist with integrity. He is a patriot who cares about our democracy; he is not simply a shill for the corporatists. Consider these words of Thomas Jefferson: I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.
EditHx 11/14/2004
Outstanding show, outstanding host. Keith is a truly gifted writer, a principled journalist, and just a lot of fun to watch (if you have the smarts to catch his cultural references and appreciate exquisite irony). I wish other networks would lose their stuffy, pompous talking heads (this means you, Dan Rather and Tom Brokaw).
Martisa 11/14/2004
This discussion is not just about this election. It is about democracy. If they can hack a general election, they can hack a GOP or DEM primary AND they can hack your financial transactions - which will affect you no matter who you voted for. This is an important study and Olbermann has the courage to do real journalism.
mnm 11/14/2004
Excellent! It is funny how it is all or nothing on the ratings...Keith MUST be doing something right to get the right-wingnuts in a tizzy. He reports the news as-is; no sugar-coating here, just real reporting and with (more than) a touch of wit. great job -- he is a keeper.
y2k_explorer 11/14/2004
He brings...Sincerity, Entertainment, Boldness, Credibility and Integrity to MsNBC. KO means Knock-Out!
djm 11/14/2004
Top Notch! Do it again!
librarylady 11/14/2004
Go back to sports!!
xclusivek 11/14/2004
Reporting at it's Best the way it should be.
Missy55 11/14/2004
A journalist with enough integrity and courage to report real news.
s*bufe 11/13/2004
KO is sharp as hell, and honest to boot.
noelschutz 11/13/2004
Keith Olbermann has had the guts to keep the voting fraud in the public eye while other major media have put their heads in the sand.
wworld 11/13/2004
Olbermann is the only newscaster on television today worth watching. While all the others are too concerned to say anything that might ruffle the powers that be feathers, Olbermann calls them as he sees them and let's the chips fall where they may. It's a damn shame there aren't more journalists like Olbermann on television today.
Krajchy 11/13/2004
None better. Intelligent, honest, fair, and courageous seeker of the truth. He's everything journalism should be but no longer is. They should clone the man.
CrystalC 11/13/2004
Keith makes infotainment actually informative, and makes the news really fun to watch. He's also more daring than most television reporters, and it's a welcome departure from fake plastic news.
kilowat 11/13/2004
it's about time someone stood up to this regime, i think they all need to go to jail. you the noumber one, tweety bird had better get onboard(chris)lol
