Everyone that voted less than a 5 for Chris Farley should be ashamed of yourself.
forgotten hero 04/29/2003
He turned his body into a source of humor. I think it is healthy to poke fun at yourself and accept who you are. Either that or you can appear on the Maury show and create this sob story about how hard it is to live the life of a fat man.
mullets1001 04/27/2003
the best i've ever seen. He's never failed to make me laugh.
Redoedo 03/07/2003
A mediocre character who managed to get laughs by being obnoxious and poking fun at himself more than actually being funny. However, I really quite enjoyed his "van down by the river" segments- by far his greatest contribution to the show, as well as his impression of Tom Arnold.
Casey McFarland 02/27/2003
Chris is a funny guy but how many laughs can you get using the same thing, after a while i got tired of him. But he was great with David Spade i'll give him that... to bad he was a druggie!
em_rhappy 02/18/2003
One of the best!!! We lost another great one to success, drugs, and whoes
RED_MAN_18 02/06/2003
Chris Farley is one of the greatest comedian that worked on SNL. I have every movie and the his greatest SNL skits he made. I will miss the the big guy.
bosguy 01/29/2003
Yuck. Loud, sophmoric and stupid. (occasional funny bits, but despite him, not because of him)
skipbar 01/20/2003
How many times can you try to make loud messy and fat into big laughs?
Shukhevych 12/08/2002
Hilarious... but a druggie...
Lexeydog 11/26/2002
This man was hilarious-- my favorite SNL member of all time. The motivational speaker role was so funny, the Schmidt's Gay Beer, and the Chippendale tryout with Patrick Swayze... could a man get funnier? This guy made me laugh so hard it hurt, and he also projected a real warmth, you really got a sense of his true persona. I was very saddened by his death, such a waste.
lukskywlkr. 11/07/2002
He always looked just the slightest bit uncomfortable on the show, but let me tell you, when he came out and did his "living in a van down by the river" character, I had tears in my eyes every time.
Jason1972 11/04/2002
He once said his influence was John Belushi. Why did he have to live too fast like him? His ultimate skit is Mr. Foley the motivational speaker. I laughed til I cried when I saw that skit (with Christina Applegate as guest star). It's still funny today. Him and Spade were the Lennon and McCartney of comedy. They were flawless together.
tworebel 07/02/2002
Man, this guy is my favorite on Saturday Night Live! He should be #1. He is hilarious.
littlep 04/30/2002
I cried when Chris Farley passed away. He was a great comic. I would sit in an old van down by the river with him any day! Chris--we lost you way too early, buddy:-(
couchpotato 02/25/2002
His death is the only reason that he isn't the reigning king of physical comedy. Chris Farley rules then, rules now.
137218685 02/08/2002
farley put 100% into his comedy, and unfortunately was long over due for a heart attack. with that 'down by the river guy' man he was practically wheezing. all the SNL skits he did were stellar. tommy boy and black sheep sucked. please SNL, stop all your comedians from acting in films.
ellajedlicka21 10/27/2001
A hilarious guy. His interview on SNL with Paul McCartney in 1993 was classic.
Potch1214 10/12/2001
The second coming of John Belushi. Live fast, make'em laugh, die waaaay too young. Even Dennis Miller, upon meeting Farley, predicted a similar fate to Belushi. He was larger and bigger and louder than life, but most of his comedy had a touch of sadness to it. A damned shame that he's gone.
H C B BAGGINS 06/10/2001
Chris Farley was terrific. I liked every skit he was in on Saturday Night Live. When ever I see reruns of the show you can see that he gave it his all and it shows. His comedy preformances make me laugh so hard it hurts. I love his movies too.
afterglow70 06/09/2001
My all time favorite SNL man! The best skit was him and Patrick Swayze trying out for Chippendales Dancers. OMG!!! It took everything that Patrick had not laugh hysterically. I loved Chris!!!
callmetootie 04/07/2001
Chris Farley was one of the msot annoying actors on SNL at the time. He could never carry on his roles to be funny, and instead he would overreact in them. He was funny when he played a woman, which would get annoying after a while too, but he didn't really fit the cast.
Xiala Proserpine 02/22/2001
I miss Chris Farley and it's too bad that he had to leave us. Rotten.com should be banned for having dead Chris Farley pictures. It is a disgusting display.
chew 02/10/2001
I wish I could give this great man a 10.
pumpkin 12/27/2000
always the good people die first. Farley made me laugh everytime i was sad. as a full figure woman he also made me proud just to be me.
kumquat 12/16/2000
Chris is the funniest. He is fat and uses himself as humor. He is loud, and is hilarious when he gets mad.
dfay 12/15/2000
He is pretty funny, but you can only go so far with fat-guy-running-into-crap humor.
jaystone 12/15/2000
Chris Farley is the cooleset guy in the history of the world. He was funny. Not just funny, but damn funny. He also succeeded in having multiple successful movies outside of SNL, unlike others who make one movie based on a skit. He is truly missed. Seriously, he didn't just make you laugh, it was like tears in your eyes. Your stomach hurt laughing.
yagafat 12/14/2000
The funniest man on earth before he died. He could make fun of himself and have it be funny as hell. I sure wish he hadn't died. I hope his dying will help improve people's awareness of drug use.
westybob 12/14/2000
Why did this man have to die? He is such a big, goofy, lovable guy. My favorite sketch all time by Chris was the "Old Van Down by the River," where he played a salesman who lived in, you guessed it, an old van down by the river. I loved watching him break things and hurt himself.
kodak 12/14/2000
One of the most promising young talents. Got too coked up and probably wanted to die. I think that it was a suicide. I loved all his impressions and characters. It was a great loss, but he is remembered now.
Froggy2 12/13/2000
He was a hysterical man. It is incredibly sad the way he died. His movies are also quite funny. He had to be one of the funniest people ever cast on SNL.
Paste 12/12/2000
He was hilarious. He had sort of an outrageous humor and I loved when he broke stuff. His only drawback is that he almost always had to act like an idiot. It gets a little old, but still funny. RIP Chris.
nerda 12/12/2000
Chris Farley was the bomb. Too bad he died. SNL will never be the same without him. Tommy Boy was tight!
Chicago Girl 12/12/2000
I liked Chris Farley because he was able to accomplish his dream of becoming a comedic actor despite his looks. He was good because he bypassed all of his insecurities and prospered from them.
judo 12/12/2000
Chris Farley was one of the gifted actors who just know how to be funny! From his walk to his talk, it was as if there was an adolescent immaturity about him that was just hilarious.
Chrie Blosm 12/11/2000
I thought it was a shame how Chris Farley died. He and David Spade made an awesome duo. When he dressed in drag on the show I laughed till I almost cried. He starred in the movie Tommy Boy, which I think was his best work.
surge 12/11/2000
I love Chris Farley. He was my favorite person on Saturday Night Live. He was wild and crazy, and he really gave it his all when he performed. He is one of a kind.
minddream 12/11/2000
This guy was very funny. He knew no boundaries in the comedy realm. Unfortunately, his death came too soon, but watch SNL reruns or Tommy Boy, Black Sheep for a chance to laugh your butt off.
bahas 12/10/2000
I wish Chris Farley never died because he was so funny with his energy, especially the one skit that he lived in the trailer down by the river. If more more actors were as dedicated as him, the comedy movie industry would be much better.
scromeo 11/24/2000
The best sketch is Chris Farley's "Livin' in a van down by the river." To this day I still laugh till I cry watching it. Tommy Boy is his funniest film and possibly one of the funniest films ever. I wish he was still alive making funny ass films.
whitesatin 11/22/2000
To me, the late Chris Farley was, in essence, a genuine comic genius, especially in the area of physical comedy. He was inspired by John Belushi, both in his sketches, and his controversial personal life-drug and alcohol abuse, unpredictable behavior etc. On the screen however, he exhibited the kind of wildness, boundless energy, and dramatic talent that only a truly audience loving man can muster. All this and more will truly make him one of the most memorable characters to come out of SNL.
shmacky 11/22/2000
Chris Farley might not look like a very good character actor, but he had some of he best timing on any person on SNL. Plus, there's so much a big, fat guy can do to make fun of himself. It's unfortunate that such a funny man passed away at a young age.
BeckyBunny 11/22/2000
I liked Chris Farley a lot on SNL. He was part of the best cast and was in very funny movies like Black Sheep. Also, he played a funny part in Billy Madison, which is my favorite movie.
georgew 11/22/2000
Great physical comedian.
Sean 11/16/2000
Chris Farley was just hilarious. He was genuine, and that makes him all the more funny. His skit with Spade, Hartman and Applegate is just one example of how classic he is.
Renee 11/16/2000
He was one of the best SNL cast members. His physical comedy was one of the best in SNL history. He was willing to do anything for a laugh; fall through a table, or ice skate with a gold medalist. He used his weight as a joke, which most people can't. His sarcasm will forever impress me.
c_wi5398om 03/15/2000
Every Chris Farley character was the same -- a yelling, waving, sweating, jiggling obnoxious person.
nyyanksfan 02/25/2000
There was a lot of him to laugh at! John Goodman....you're the last fat funny man around!
