As a geek of some stature I kinda hate him. He's a know it all and not only is he mean to other nerds, he exploits them in his business.

He is actually one of the most funny because he is always a smart ass and is sarcastic to everyone.
Fallen Angel 07/08/2008
SCAMER!

Heck yea!!! "Ive spent my entire life doing nothing but collecting comics books, and now there is only time to say.... LIFE WELL SPENT!!!"
fb1152563118 04/09/2008
Very righteous and condensending
twansalem 04/03/2008
For some reason, he's just a little too annoying and self important.
Automatt 04/01/2008
Worst. Character. Ever.
trebon1038 04/01/2008
Don't really know who he is
ILikePie 07/24/2007
Best. Character. Ever. His constant sarcasm and nerdy wit are highlights of ever episode he stars in. Sadly I feel I can relate to him...
hotel283 02/14/2006
Best line was during one of the Halloween episodes where he played "The Collector"... (after being thrown into the vat of lucite by Xena) Comic Book Guy - "...Lucite hardening...must..strike...classic...Lorne Greene from Battlestar Galactica pose....BEST....DEATH....EVER...."

How Many People are banned from Comic Book Guys Shop? And Who are they
Jamie McBain 06/11/2004
Reminds me of comic book and movie fans who know too much and take things too seriously.
Marlo 06/02/2004
Matt Greoning said that Comic book guy was pretty much a character based on himself. how do i say , that's pretty gross in clingon?
Beloved 05/03/2004
The comic book guy is great, I love his character
sasha_li 03/28/2004
Should have his own spin-off series..
kettke 03/13/2004
Comic Book Guy RULES!!
PzKpfw VI E 09/11/2003
Funny guy, it pops in on the show once in a while and is usually funny! All I have to say now is "Worst comment ever!"
forgotten hero 07/17/2003
He may be a fat ass but for what the character lacks in appearance he makes up with quick wit and humor. He's the funniest supporting character on the entire show. Duff Man is a close second.
ClassicTVFan47 05/21/2003
The as-of-yet unnamed business manager and runner of the Android's Dungeon Card and Comic Shop is filled with sarcasm and references to just about anything sci-fi. He is a Star Trek fan, which, of course, is cool, and he even wears the uniform from time to time. He also knows alot about comics (I wonder how well he knows the Silver Age Comic era...). But, he does need to balance that with a social life and some exercize. :)
HumanMagicMark er 05/12/2003
Started out as a hilarious character, but he has become a parody of himself in the last 4-5 seasons or so. Then again, that could be said about the entire show.
samson42284 04/11/2003
Comic book guy is great because he is a perfect stereo-type for all those crappy fat slobby people out there
Prof.Chaos 03/27/2003
Comic book guy is funny; they need to put him in more shows.
Martin Clegg 02/23/2003
The biggest all around disgrace to nerds (which says much, since all nerds are a disgrace to their kind). I wish they'd write an episode where he was beaten up in an alley or something.
ChunkyLover53 02/09/2003
I used to like him, but lately, he seems to be becoming a one-joke character. If I hear him say "Worst (insert noun here) EVER" again, I will scream! When are we ever going to learn his name?
wmassie 12/19/2002
Absolutely hilarious in limited appearances. A show dedicated to him is needed (if not already a fact).
monkezuncle 12/10/2002
This guy is priceless. Always negative and freakin hysterical. The best is when an episode really starts tanking, he runs out with a shirt that says "worst show ever" and yells "I'm watching you. And of course the episode where Homer eats the mint condition comic book is great. He is the fat, pathetic, geaky, lifeless looser we're all gald we're not. Sadly many of us have him as an in-law. "Worst rating ever!" :)
djbuddha 06/12/2002
My favorite character on the entire show. It seems that many of the classic Simpson's lines come from him. His character is absolutely perfect.
ashleys 04/29/2002
If you read this comment the way he talks, you will laugh. It's not that my comment will be amazing, but that his voice carries all of the humor. And you may hate to admit it, but there is a comic book guy in your town. You know him and sometimes talk to him, because he talks all the time. Andrew is the name of my comic book guy, though I prefer to call him Doss. (sidenote: Have you ever realized you have to call guys like that by their last names? or not give them a name at all)
UTVOLUSN 03/29/2002
He has his moments but they are too few and far between to warrant more than three stars. I do apprectiate his sarcasm though, it's what makes the world go round. Yet sometimes it gets annoying, which could be the reason he's not used more than he is currently.
pikachan 03/02/2002
I like Comic Book Guy. He owns a comic book store where he sells valuable items besides comic books. I remember in one episode, he banned Bart and Millhouse from the store, then he had a heart problem and he hired Bart and Millhouse to work at the store. That was one of my favorite episodes. "Worst episode ever"
couchpotato 02/20/2002
I'd give him a lower rating, because the guy's real annoying, but I can do his voice PERFECTLY. Trust me.
benfergy 02/02/2002
He really is, in some way or another, like many comic book store owners!
ellajedlicka21 01/06/2002
His sarcasm is excellent. His character dates all the way back to the first season.
Snoopy 08/24/2001
He's pretty funny, but he could be used a bit more often.
ElegantFire 08/21/2001
After going through 7 and a half months of my Simpsons Quote-a-Day calandar, I've determined that so far the best quotes in the calandar have come from the comic book guy. He's a pathetic geek, but he makes up for it with his quick, witty humor. Some classic lines include his pickup line "Tell me, how do you feel about 40 year old virgins who still live with their parents?" and his line "Inspired by the most logical race in the galaxy, the Vulcans, breeding will only be permitted once every 7 years. For many of you, this will be much less breeding. For me, much much more." The voice for this guy is perfect too. I can't imagine Comic Book Guy having another actor doing his.
KnightofHo 07/22/2001
Ahh, the comic book guy, this poor fellow is and will always be an inspiration to us all, his sheer essence is the aspiration of all, to waste all his time going to movies, watching tv, surfing the net, and eating burritos 12 at a time without seemingly gaining more weight than he had before,he is, my friend, the pinnacle of human existence.
jeffrey715 07/11/2001
Best Comic Book Guy Ever! He's the funniest one on the show!
The_Decockster 07/01/2001
Ah, the "fat, sarcastic, Star Trek fan." In his own words, "Biggest loser EVER!"
Dibler 04/18/2001
"How do you feel about 40year old virgins who live with their parents?".... "Don't try to cahnge me baby"
faheymon 04/01/2001
I think the comic book guy, aka "the collector", doesnt get the respect he deserves. His classic sarcasm and wit should be an inspiration to us all. Sometimes, i put on tapes of his quotes to inspire before I head off to battle. "I will now return to my comic book store, where I dispense the insults rather than absorb them"
ultimatesimpso nfan 03/31/2001
"BEST CHARECTER EVER!" my personal favorite quote: "oooo...it looks like ill have to find a new fortress of solitude."
moonshiner 02/25/2001
Worst character eveeeeerrrrr.
knrunk595 09/28/2000
"This should provide adequate sustenance for the Dr. Who marathon."

SHWAG
magellan 11/12/1999
Funny, but I think he would be annoying in larger doses.
