01/11/2006 | I'd give it 4 stars if GM hadn't changed the recipe somewhere along the line. I remember having these for the first time about 7 years ago or so and they were awesome, really tasted like cookies. Now, they're not bad but...they're just not as good anymore. It's mostly sweetness without real taste, the genuine cookie-like taste is gone unfortunately. They're still good once in a while, in moderation, one or two boxes a year is enough not to get sick of them.
I had them again (almost a year later) and they now taste really good. I don't know what changed, maybe its the new no trans-fat regulations or something but they are way better than last year.

12/13/2000 | Cookie Crisp, one of children and adults favorite cereals, is so unhealthy. First of all, it's all sugar, and doesn't have any essential vitamins that are good for you. It's a carbohydrate which contributes to weight gain, but also loaded with sugar. Low sugar is so much better, and these are high in sugar.

09/20/2000 | Something bad, very bad has happened to Cookie Crisp. I remember this being a huge treat as a kid and was thrilled when my kids asked to get it (yes, I am a crappy parent who allows my children to get hyped up on cereal that will allow their teeth to fall out..hey, we have Kix and Cheerios in the cupboard too). Anyway, I was exctited. You know, that kind of "loser" excitement one gets over a favorite childhood cereal. This was a very big disappointment. I can not even explain the flavor other than it does NOT taste like cookies, it doesn't even taste like food and it has an odd aftertaste. If you loved it as a kid, just leave it at that, don't try it again..Just keep your loving memories of the old Cookie Crisp.
