Difficult to get into, though fun once you know the route. If you are an avid MMORPG gamer, or perhaps just enjoy the typical hack 'n slash RPG, EverQuest could possibily be a good try. However, the game has a tendency to bend towards corruption and the support of the game doesn't always understand the needs of the in-game populace. Though they constantly provide expansions that increase playability, their support teams do not often find the time to help the players. I have been a Volunteer Guide in the SoE program, and I cannot press the issues with this game. The addiction can be stressful if you get it, and there are always flaws within the gameplay. However, the game oddly provides solace for people and lets you enjoy a wide variety of graphics and scenarios where you need different strategies for each. After playing the game for 6 years, there is so much to say, and not enough words to express it. I hate the game, yet I love it.

A lot of fun to run around and get killed repeatedly, and then level, buy things, kill things, and... and then the futility of it all sets in, and you realize how much of your real life you can never get back because you spent time fishing in a computer game...

This has to be one of the most pointless games ever made. Not only is it ridiculously boring, but for some reason it is very addictive. If you know anyone who is thinking about playing this game try to do some sort of intervention for them. Do something, get them away from it! People who play the game tend to talk about it a lot, leveling, raids, quests, lots of stuff that non-players don't understand nor care about. God forbid you get into a relationship with an EverQuest player. Your life will be based around when a raid is scheduled or something like that. No game should be this addictive. It isn't called EverCrack for nothing!

This game requires a subscription & is difficult to catch onto. I was amazed at the real-time play & 3D environment, but the atual game was almost tedious due to the maze.

Given the limitations of technology, this game rocks. Someday it will look like Pong, tho.

Taking the time to perform quests and learn more about the world the game takes place in will take you days. The rewards of those activities will amount to less than spending two minutes killing a bat, so why do anything but fight, heal, fight, heal? It's a very pretty game of dice.

Well. Everquest is quite addictive yet it lacks quite a bit. 1. Conflict and a workable pvp system, i'm sorry but there are HUGE imbalances in the pvp system. 2. No point to the game other than getting loot and camping spawns. personally i hate the variety of game that is just a huge leveling treadmill and it's sad that many fall to this game. the story is not what you would call great either. If you prefer an ever evolving world that focuses on story and gameplay then i'd recommend waiting for shadowbane to be released.

Ah...Everquest. Well its still very big anfter being out for about 2 1/2 years, that pretty much says it all but I'll go on. The game isnt a game you play for a hour then get bored and do something else, this game is really addicting. It cost about 10$ a month to play since its an online only game. You can join giulds, preform raids, and make friends. There's no end to the game, no plot, and no objective. Just have some fun. Like I said it's very addicting and still going strong and probably will go strong for another 3 years or so.

Let me just say this: I did not buy this game nor did i play. I checked it out in the store, thought it looked like it rocked, then came back the next day to buy it. I waited in line and finaly got up to cashier who told me you gotta PAY to play this game online, i thought that kinda sucked. So i'm just warning anyone who wants this game and doesn't want to pay to acually PLAY it after you spend enough money BUYING it (yeah so i'm cheap, but i'm also BROKE!) ..... don't buy it! Otherwise my friends tell me it's awsome!!

Everquest is an awesome game, it got spectular graphics and a wonderful set up for classes, races and even include Dieties in the character makeup If you like the whole Dungons and Dragons tie in style of playiong, EQ is pro'lly for you. Note: This gmae is very addictive. People have ruined their relationships. I am about to get married very soon and My fiancee and I both play it. I am normally a very easy going person and a very passive-agressive type, but because of the effect EQ has on my I have tried to keep my playing to a minimum. There will be aspects about the game people will and will not like. You must understand this is a game played across the internet with many people at once. There are, at any given time, 50,000 people playing this game with about 2000 people per server. It's just like dealing with people in real life. If you get them mad, they'll take it out on you in one way or another, eventhough Player Killing is not allowed. You too will get tired of the game at points and you'll lose time playing it. If you can handle video games and you can control your temper, then try it. If you just don't believe me, try it. It even says it on the box, Don't get this game for someone you love. You'll never see them again. Worth a try, but just don't let it overtake you. Eric L. Pearson eric@getsmartnow.com http://www.getsmartnow.com
