I think seinfeld is very funny. seinfeld himself is not a very good actor but the plots to his shows are great!

I can still watch these re-runs over and over!

You know, when it comes right down to it, this show wasn't all that much better than any other sitcom--still the same old innuendo and jokes about sex, sex, and more sex. How very unoriginal...
shroomy soup 05/31/2006
The show about nothing is the best TV show of all time. Every character is great and hilarious. Every episode is a classic and re-watchable. There are many memorable moments and lines in this show. "I was in the pool!!"
caligula 05/30/2006
Really an "anti-sitcom". Hilarious and deserves a "5" because it never did a social awareness episode or a "very special" episode. It was comedy for comedy-sake.
FranksWildYear s 05/30/2006
Destined to live in the pantheon of all time great comedies in syndication and the collective consciousness of anyone born after 1950. It's timeless take on the minutia of everyday life created as many cultural touchstones as Monty Python's Flying Circus and Saturday Night Live.
kingguiness 04/24/2006
A great sitcom. The idiocy of Kramer and George really made the show. Elaine was a bimbo. Jerry was usually the voice of reason. In real life I am George. Same personality.
SpideyRocks 04/01/2006
accept no substitutes. simply the best sitcom ever. some people just don't get this show about 4 whiny misinthropic new yorkers and that's really their loss. The show about nothing is really about everything.
delbomber 03/13/2006
Seasons 1-7 are sublime. Once Larry David left it went downhill, yet the show was still more inspired than anything before or since. Cerebral and slapstick at the same time, the situations stand up to many, many repeat viewings and offer laughter for years and years.
traderboy 01/03/2006
When this show was "on" (which was 70% of the time), it was hard to beat. The fact that so many people can remember the piecemeal bits and catch phrases put on by the SECONDARY characters speaks volumes about the overall quality. Jerry Seinfeld was no fool: he knew he couldn't carry an idea like that all by his lonesome, so he picked up as many middleweight performers as he could afford and let them carve out their respective places within the open frameworks of the premise (many were the times when you could see Jerry sitting back smirking as the others did their things). Credit should also be given to NBC for sticking with the show (which bombed with preview audiences and wasn't setting any Nielsen records two seasons in); it shouldn't have worked anywhere near as well as it did. The early episodes (seldom seen in syndication) were more minutiae-oriented neurotics exercises that set up the expectations enjoyed later on. SEINFELD also had the good sense to end when it did before the stretchmarks began to show (the finale was an oddly-turned medley that neither offended nor dazzled). Much-missed in relation to what's been trying to replace it, the sitcom about "nothing" turned out to be something.

Seinfeld isn't a bad show but some of the episodes are boring. Most are not though.
Maxis 12/25/2005
Seinfeld was a great show and a perfect showw of the 90's!!
deermanoneshot 12/19/2005
Jerry Seinfeld is a mediocre comedian, Kramer and George made the show.
chris012258 12/03/2005
funny but overrated
edt4 11/03/2005
A smart, funny show, but it pales in comparison to Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm." When David left "Seinfeld", it's quality went downhill quickly. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is a much darker, funnier version of "Seinfeld."
SiamTor 11/02/2005
This show gets better with each viewing. Great acting, except Jerry, but he was just playing himself. The other 3 and all the guest characters were fantastic ... Soup Nazi, Newman, Baboo, Puddy etc. And while so many other shows put TV stars on either during or after they were already popular for rating purposes, Seinfeld actually helped many to bigger fame: Kristin Davis as the "Toothbrush" Girlfriend Courtney Cox as the "Wife" Jane Leeves as the "Virgin" Debra Messing as the "Can't wait til she breaks up with her husband so I can date her" girlfriend Teri Hatcher as the "Spectacular" Girlfriend Marcia Cross as "Pimple Popper MD" Christine Taylor as the "Totally Lame" (to everyone but Jerry) girlfiend Brad Garrett as the "Mad Mechanic" Great stuff. One of the best comedy shows I can remember, a distant second or third to Monty Python's Flying Circus, and a great way to spend a half hour after a crappy day.
halleedwards 11/01/2005
I like it, but not as much as some other shows. It's a bit overrated. Kramer is awesome!
GobTheHotCop 10/26/2005
Stellar!! A classic!!!
Mr.Political 10/24/2005
It was a funny show that never failed to entertain me and I do feel that its superior to what passes for comedy currently but there was a limit to my enthusiasm.
cjmyers41 10/03/2005
The reruns are better than most of the new stuff called comedy. I am not he should have made $200 million on..............
gimligaugi 09/13/2005
I always thought Seinfeld was overrated. It has it's moments but it isn't as funny as all the hype.
MotownTLMan 09/13/2005
I still laugh at shows I have seen many times. The best sitcom ever done on TV--probably the best show!
iluvfhandafhv 09/05/2005
I watch this show with my mom every once in a while. My mom is a huge Seinfeld fan, and whenever she watches that show, I hear her laugh really loudly. Several episodes are a little bit funny, even though all of the actors and actresses on it are morons. This show is usually very boring and unpredictable, but it's a time-killer, and fortunately, it's not that bad for a sitcom.
rjy 08/30/2005
A good show, the episode with the soup nazi was the best one of all that were made.
WarmHand 08/11/2005
One of the few television shows to achieve the perfect cast and the perfect scripts to match their incredible combined talent. I never tire of watching Seinfeld. It's everything a comedy should be.
Poon 07/16/2005
my late70s-current comedy top 10: 1-seinfeld 2-all in the family 3-simpsons 4-newsradio 5-murphy brown 6-cheers 7-friends 8-taxi 9-drew carey 10-roseanne(early years)
kattwoman 06/16/2005
seinfeld was great. it had a cast that were made for each other. the show wouldn't have been the same with out all of them. kramer was hilarious.nobody could or would want to dance like elaine.it even had many memorable guest characters like the soup nazi. it is one of the best comedies of all time.
disgust4PCness 06/13/2005
Brilliant writing and a perfect cast (even those that appeared for one episode). One of the two greatest primetime TV shows ever.
husker16 06/11/2005
Seinfeld is a great show. Each actor is perfect for their character, and I think that is what makes the show really great.
dpostoskie 05/20/2005
Oh YeeeeeAH!!!! All four had real chemistry, but KRAMER, possibly the best character in any series. The Barney of our time.
groggnicole 05/05/2005
it was ok but I thoght it was way over rated for what it was
Tesla's Revenge 05/03/2005
Strange... I should like this show, on paper, but never could accept Seinfeld himself as funny, just a whiner. That George guy is annoying, though Kramer is funny. Well, you can have the last available limited edition DVD, I won't fight you for it.
crankyfrank 04/25/2005
Oh boy. Take a group of nasty, self-absorbed morons, put them in the same building and make a sitcom out of it. Whiny, back-biting garbage.
southparker9 04/19/2005
One of the reasons I could watch Tv and feel entertained. Great characters all around. Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld made of the most memorable sitcoms of all times.
Supercross 04/05/2005
The Show about Nothing is exactly that, but somehow it manages to poke fun at everything in its way. All four characters will be famous for the rest of their lives for their respective roles. Seinfeld is definitly an acquired taste, but if you got it, then you can't get enough. Tons of guest appearances by people today who have hit it big. The humor is a bit on the dry side, but that is exactly the kind I enjoy the most. Do yourself a favor and just give this show a chance, you will be hooked in no time!
Molfan 04/03/2005
a great show. All the characters were funny.Kramar was so eccentric and had his quirky was of doing things.George, he was so sneaky always lying and trying to get away with things but always got caught,Georges parents were funny too.Always holloring at each other, no wonder George was the way he was. Jerry always was so picky, especially about his dates. Elaine could be real self centered and catty.Really none of the characters were very likable, but this is what made it such funny show.WAtching them be nasty with their hangups. a different show as they said a show about nothing loved it.!
kycool73 04/01/2005
The greatest show ever made, of course. Ya, it's a bit over-rated. But there's not another sitcom out there that even comes close to it. Except maybe Arrested Developement.
texasyankee 03/29/2005
It was funny, but I think people went a little overboard at how important this show was in thier lives. When I lived in New York, and they were airing the final episode of Seinfeld someone messed with the air waves for the show and the people watching it did not get to see the last half of the show, and everyone called into the television station complaining so much that they turned it into an FBI problem and had to reshow the final episode over again. Talk about ridiculous.
Randyman 03/13/2005
A very funny show and a great ensemble. I still enjoy the reruns.
jaywilton 02/01/2005
Eventually, it kind of grew on me.
Mooselover 01/29/2005
You have to love a show that's about nothing, especially when the writers are great. I really liked Krammer's over-the-top performance. Overall see it and you won't stop laughing.
Undisputed 01/23/2005
Best TV show ever. Anybody who doesn't think that this show is funny doesn't have a sense of humour
mrmiaggi 12/31/2004
All-time best tv series.
sfalconer 12/30/2004
What a great show with a terrible ending. They should do a special to make up for the last show. I never believed it was a show about nothing. It was a show about four strange friends, their relatives and their aquantances.
jake_2408 12/12/2004
Third best comedy of all time.
gegg 11/18/2004
Whoever doesn't like this show, doesn't 'get' this show, and that is their misfortune. I feel sorry for them.
jakemr33 10/27/2004
One of the greatest sitcoms of all time. A hilarious show about nothing, what more could you ask for?
uforom 10/07/2004
I've seen this sitcom over and over again. Can't get enough of it. Anyone who says it's not great is just plain brain dead (with all due respect)
King_Porus 10/03/2004
This is the funniest television show of all time . (I wish they'd bring it back!)
Brett Miler 09/19/2004
Overall, this is a great show. I have always thought this is a hilarious show, but I gave it a 4 because of its finale episode. It was just so rude of them to just disregard the fact that someones being robbed. They always did this throughout the show, but that episode ruined its chance of getting a 5-star rating
