I absolutely adore this show and I can't believe that you can't get all of it on video! Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula, now playing the captain in 'Enterprise') is the main character who 'leaps' from year to year into a different person, and he has to change the course of history for the better before he can leap again, hoping each time that it'll be the leap home. He is aided by Al (Dean Stockwell, started out as a child star and has been in loads of films and programmes) who is a hologram and is still in sam's time and helps Sam out by getting information from Ziggy. At the beginning chunks of memory have been erased from Sam's memory - he can't remember Al at first and so on and so forth, so his character is like a new born. Sam is placed in numerous situations, such as being Elvis Presley, cowboy, pilot, taxi driver and countless others. If you like sci-fi, I think you'll like this. The stories are very well done

This was a well done show with a lot of interesting ideas, but I just never could get into it on a week in week out basis.

One of the BEST Sci-Fi shows EVER. Eagerly awaiting word on Sci-Fi's renewing it!

Enjoyable show from time to time (pun intended). I liked the cast - Bakula was fun to look at and a decent actor as well. The stories weren't earth shattering (kind of had a "Touched by an Angel" feel about them) but enjoyable. Kind of a Twilight Zone-esq premise that in and of itself was still pretty original.

I only saw a handfull of episodes but they seemed reasonably entertaining. Not enough to cause me to search it out in the listings however.

Hehe- Al in his flashy suit with his cigar, poor Scott Bakula (his doctor character name escapes me because his character changes every episode) warps into different situations every time. And it's cool how creative they were in making such a variety of episodes.

A very interesting show. Really makes you think.

This is one of the most intriguing shows ever. Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell give superb performances, and the plots are always strong. The final episode was a bit of a letdown, but the series is excellent.

Quantum Leap is a pretty good show, but you had to have watched it from the beginning to really get the full effect. It's really well done, and the scripts were great. It was being shown on reruns on The Sci-Fi channel a while ago, and don't think that it's scary or anything, but very touching and warm.

Sci-fi at its best for the time. The stories were compelling. Too bad it's only on cable.
