ER is one of the best shows out there. It's one of my favorites. Noah Wyle is kinda cute, too.

I personally think ER is getting better as each season goes by. They will probably cancel it now that it is worthy.
Jessiesgirl 05/03/2004
Still one of the very best hours on regular network television. The writing, acting and directing remain top-notch. Noah Wyle is one of the most talented actors of our generation. His Dr. Carter is one of the best characters in television history. And he is still evolving! Anyway, ER is one of my favourite shows of all time.

This is the est TV show ever! It has all the noise and character of a real hospital but with the added gorgeousness of Goran Visnjic! He is so so fit! He really makes the show, without him thay would be without a sexy man and frankly the show would loose ratings. The storylines are very good and interesting, with ordinary things going on as well as the daily wierd things like a man in a tank for instance! I also like thefact that the characters all have a deeper side some more deep than others. Like Frank, No one would ever hav guessed that he was really a nice husband and Father. But I maimly watch it for Goran. He is so sexy with his floppy hair and cheeky grin and deep, meaningful, suffering eyes.... ok anyway. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!

I am a new fan of ER and have just watched this current season so far. I'm really impressed and wish I would have caught on earlier. The characters, while there are many, are all intriguing and complex. Each has a different, compelling storyline. The actors are also fantastic especially new talent Parminder Nagra. She really shines and yet still meshes well with the rest of the cast. A terrific show and I hope it stays on air for much longer for late-comers like me.

A classic.
Lialala 04/01/2004
It's a good show, no doubt about it, but there are too many characters, which many of them are completely boring or annoying and you tend to get lost, or lose interest, there's not enough focus on the really good characters, so time is just spent.
nenajj 03/31/2004
One word Carter looks like John lenon with his beard! And uhh where his he. Season going good i guess. But Johns mid life crisis is ruining this season! No Carter and abby :(
tvtator 12/18/2003
This show used to be really good but I think it's lost it's focus and over stayed it's welcome. It really blew it when it killed off one of it's best characters(Dr Romano) in a heinous manner and for what a ratings grabber? That got rid of Paul McCrane, of the shows best and most mesmerizing actors. The show still has some quality it's just no longer must see tv
cribkid 12/13/2003
Still, after all these years, ER remains one of the best TV shows ever on. Even when the characters have been removed and new (old) characters have come to the front, the show remains a top notched show.
SandyMarie321 12/12/2003
I love ER, I have watched it for as long as I can remember. I cry at least 1 a month, they made a real good show.
Zanthia 12/03/2003

The best of the best!!
blue_sky 10/06/2003
i think ER is ok but i think Third Watch is better. They have better looking people and there is more action too.
Shannon Castle 09/27/2003
E.R. is singing its swan song. If Noah Wyle leaves, NBC needs to consider something else for this timeslot.
LittleK 09/06/2003
PLEASE PLEASE TAKE ER OFF THE AIR! IT'S BEEN ON LONG ENOUGH. PUT IT ON SATURDAY NIGHTS AND SEE HOW MANY VIEWERS THEY WILL HAVE...
Vanilla_Tiger 08/19/2003
Good show. Although it still amazes me how Carter is still with that nurse....can't remember her name. At first it was sweet that he was staying with her seeing how the rest of her family has that mental sickness.....now she has become really annoying and selfish.....maybe she could get brain cancer and die too.....that would be sweet.

Always has been good and accurate in med. procedures usually.

Sapphire_Justi ce 06/02/2003
Best Medical show out there- well it is the only realy medical show out there! I love Goran who plays Luka :) He's hot, I just wish him and Abby would hook up again! Not 5 stars due to some lame plots every now and then, but every show has flaws...

er.is the best show on tv for hospital show;s
Robbie W luva 06/02/2003
ER is so true to life, my Nanny is in hospital at least 5 times a yearso I know what they are like when I visit her at weekends, never have I seen a hospital program so real. Hospitals are noisy and unorganised and the bonus with ER is that the acting is so good and Luka is so good looking!
BorntoRock 05/29/2003
Was this ever good? Melodrama, phony medicine, overacting, and the worst collection of angry black stereotypes ever.
amblin 05/20/2003
Love it since day one!
Cat_Mom03 05/16/2003
It's a pretty good show. Only thing that's really wrong is Luca..and that Ming girl..I've never really liked them.
lukskywlkr. 04/26/2003
This show used to be completely involving, and I tried not to miss an episode. Now, so many of the regulars are gone that it's barely recognizable.
PixieStarbuck 04/17/2003
Where are the good characters?
Lioness77 04/09/2003

ChunkyLover53 02/24/2003
The first four seasons of ER is some of my favorite television. It was an intelligent, fast-paced medical drama with great plots and interesting characters. It always kept me on the edge of my seat. Unfortunately, George Clooney's big ego caused him to leave ER during the 5th season and that, plus the addition of Kellie Martin (Dr. Lucy Knight, the 2nd most annoying character ever on the show.) was a huge blow to the show, from which it has never recovered. Seasons 6 and 7 saw an influx of characters that just weren't very interesting (Including nurse Abby Lockhart, the most annoying character ever on the show.) and the show took a soap opera-ish turn. By the end of season 8, the origional cast was practically gone and the show had become a boring, melodramatic soap opera that focused mainly on Abby Lockhart and the dying Dr. Greene. The last new ER episode I watched was the episode where Dr. Greene dies. I have not watched a single season 9 episode, and from what I'm told, I'm not missing anything. Bye bye, ER! I still love seasons 1-4 and I'd love to own them on DVD, but my interest dwindled with the number of origional cast members. The 5 star rating is for only the first four seasons.
Timeo 02/23/2003
ER, true to almost all many-seasoned shows, is not what it used to be. Like all shows, and almost any form of media, the creators and writers eventually lose their creative juices. Things get done. Originality and creativity go out the door. Actors and actresses get tired of their roles. The quality of the show goes down. Episodes that involve big snow/rain/sleet/hail storms are frequently used, almost to the point where they're a common occurence, not some special episode. That is what has happened to ER. It had a promising start, winning many awards and garnering the attention and dedicated following of many people. Unfortunately, it's hardly even nominated any more these days, despite the fact that it's still one of the most-watched television shows. It's still an okay show if you're a dedicated follower...but I don't think there's anything really special or great about it these days that would really entice a newcomer. If you're lucky enough to watch the first three seasons or so, do so. It's a treat.
WilShakes1 01/14/2003
A great show when it started, but it's gotten tired. Time to retire.
jakey333 01/04/2003
great show

I never was a big fan of this show until last season when Anthony Edwards departed. The tearjerker got me and I've been hooked ever since. I've seen the entire run of the show (seasons 1-8) thanks to tnt. A joy to watch.
consumergal 12/26/2002
I have been disappointed in this show for the past few seasons. It has become more of a soap opera than a medical drama, and I think it has run its course. I loved it for the first few years, but rarely watch it anymore.
Anne Edsell 12/16/2002
You don't have a rating higher than "great?" This is the only show that I shush my family for. They KNOW not to bother me for this hour.
Fun4MaryJo 12/11/2002
Enough already. The 1st few seasons were okay. End it.
wendi1bird 11/27/2002
I like the mixture of storylines in which you get to know the characters through their relationships with others and the gritty ER trauma scene.
NewsRadio_Fan 11/25/2002
After two seasons of melodramatic soap opera storylines, I'm glad to see ER finally getting back to how it was in the earlier years. Just get rid of Abby please. Maura Tierney was excellent on NewsRadio, was she is just horrible in ER.
davidg10 11/25/2002
I watched this show when it first started, then drifted away from it for a while. I've been watching again past couple of years - and it just keeps getting better and better. There is something about the writing this season (2002)that is really emphasizing the human element behind all the medical and administrivial trauma. Despite mostly newer characters - I really love the interaction with them all - and anytime Romano is around its a total crack up. Every episode so far this year has left me holding my breath - and Alex finally showing she's half human when she breaks down and identifies with the man that just lost half his family left me in tears - perhaps she has a heart after all. Still, great plots, great writing and great acting. I'm looking forward to next season! If you haven't been watching - give it a try again!

Penelope4000 07/28/2002
I love ER so much and carter is sooooo hot i am so sad that it has broken up to season breack ER is so my favourite show i cant understand why anyone wouldnt like it.
JJBurns84 07/23/2002
It's hard to make a comment about a show if you can't get through one sitting. Maybe that in itself says enough.
