Sucks, aside from Chappelle's Show and Crank Yankers. They took off Dr. Katz for The Man Show? Who's in charge here?!!
RunsWithWhiteW olves 03/18/2004
I love most of the shows on ther and they so funny.
Dawnsdinos 03/09/2004
I almost hate giving this only a 1 but Viacom the owner of Comedy Central has demanded unreasonable increases and is off the air on Dish Network. DN says they are in negotiations with them and hope to work something out. Since I don't want my DN bill to go up, I'm basically ticked off at all of the Viacom networks.
tvtator 11/20/2003
Has some funny progams mixed in with some mediocre and just bad stuff. Their movie selection is a bit lame at times. Best programs are The Daily Show, Crank Yankers, Reno 911! and South Park
Godfrey 11/11/2003
Most of the shows that are put on this channel are not worth watching. I refuse to let my family watch this nasty junk.
Julio1144 11/03/2003
I think Comedy Central is an OK channel. The Daily Show is better than ever (better than Kilborn's days) and Dave Chappelle is the funniest person on TV. I must say though, Crank Yankers and South Pack no longer interest me. Colin Quinn, though an alumni of the University of Florida, SUCKS. Also, I would like to see older episodes of SNL. I keep seeing all of these 1992 and up episodes. What about the Dick Ebersol era? Why can't I see Eddie Murphy, or Billy Crystal, or Martin Short? STOP showing the same episodes, damn you. That is all.
Pat'sfriend 11/03/2003
I love South Park!
IanCross 11/03/2003
brilliant love it
traveltutor 10/30/2003
How could anyone rate anything but 5 stars for the channel that brought us SouthPark?
twinmom101 04/25/2003
There is some good stuff now like Chapelle's show and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. My husband and I watch the Daily show every night and it is absolutley hilarious, especially when they go after Rumsfeld and the news outlets. What's up with Trigger Happy TV? People humping trees in dog costumes is funny MAYBE once. I admit to watching Crank Yankers, but it's dumb too. Maybe one funny call a show. God, I feel embarassed saying I watch that. Though CC has South Park, The Daily Show and Chappelle's show to make it worthwhile, I still miss the days of MST and Kids in the Hall. GET RID OF COLIN QUINN! HE'S NOT FUNNY!
drbanner 03/22/2003
A few shows I like a lot - Beat the Geeks (now unfortunately just reruns), Whose Line?, and Primetime Glick. Jon Stewart had a show in the early '90s that was much better than the one he's on now. There should be a comedy channel that the whole family can watch. Right now, CC only has 2 shows decent enough for kids - Battlebots and Beat the Geeks.
Solenoid DH 03/19/2003
It was fun when they had MST3000 on there (Tom Servo was great). I wish they would bring it back, and include old classic comedies like Charley Chase, Laurel & Hardy silents, and vintage TV comedies, pre-dating those being shown on TV Land. We NEED a good Comedy Central. Right now, it's not very good.
Redoedo 03/05/2003
I like the stand up comedy acts on Comedy Central. I also like the SNL re-runs, and South Park, while not my favorite show, seems to attract a tremendous amount of viewers. The Daily Show is also sometimes worth watching. However, some of the shows on this network are a bit ridiculous, but overall, an OK network.
iker 03/02/2003
I had to give it an "OK" rating because I am sooo tired of the crap movies they play over and over again. Maybe if they played somewhat decent movies it would be better, but they insist on trying to push all these "B" comedy movies on us. The stand-up is great, but that is not as common on this channel as it used to be. But I don't think I can ever forgive them for getting rid of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and making them seek refuge at Sci-Fi. A slap in the face actually, seeing as that show helped keep the network going when the network was fighting to survive in the late 80's and early 90's, then they dumped them as soon as the network started catching on in the mid 90's. Very similar to what Fox did to Married With Childern. They used them to get on top than leave 'em for dead.
ChunkyLover53 02/24/2003
Other than South Park, an occasional movie, and the older SNL episodes, I think this network is pure, unfunny garbage.I don't find a lot of this trash that's passed off as comedy here very funny at all.
ratemaster1984 02/09/2003
I gave it three stars because "South Park" is a gem and "Crank Yankers" is often humerous. Other than these...FORGETTABLE
Jason1972 01/23/2003
Most of its original programming is very campy (Crank Yankers), but the only thing saving this channel are the old SNL episodes. I remember when Comedy Central started in the early 90s, they just showed stand up comedy clips, (in the same format as MTV in the 80s when they showed videos.) I loved that format, and they did away with it after a year, not even that long. I think they should at least show more stand up and do away with South Park (which is showing its age) and the largely forgettable comedy movies they show that no one cares about anymore.
marsobig 07/16/2002
Hitting a slump of late. Don't really dig Crank Yankers or the Man Show for that matter. Still enjoy South Park and the older movies they play such as Cheech and Chong movies, Rushmore, Office Space.
norelle 04/03/2002
i am always on that web site. and saturday night live is the bangginest sho! i also like the man show it is so funny.
whitedevil311 03/20/2002
Necessary for my South Park fix.
abichara 02/18/2002
Comedy Central used to be better. South Park did save the network and the Man Show is really funny. Jon Stewart is also good. But just one thing; Comedy Central should stop airing cornball comedy/movies from the 1980's. It's all cheesey and cheap. They should go back to their original formula of being the place where young comedic talents get their start. If they do this, my rating for the network will go up.
steve989 01/13/2002
mixture of movies and shows that will make you laugh.
Snoopy 12/14/2001
It has some pretty good shows, like SNL, South Park, Kids in the Hall, and The Daily Show.
ThePatriotfan 11/29/2001
YAY!! They brought back AbFab!! :) I also watch it for The Jon Stewart show, hes funny, so are the Steves!! :)
Galomorro 11/20/2001
I gotta give this one VERY hi ratings cause my favorite sitcom ever, Absolutely Fabulous, is shown on here. I love it when a show doesn't have any "redeeming qualities."
callmetootie 04/04/2001
They are trying evry hard, but the only thing that's good right at the moment is TV Funhouse, which I can see is already being panned across the country.
Whisky12 03/20/2001
Comedy Central is great. The only problem is that there is some profanity.
JonWeHo 01/25/2001
Strip Mall Rules! Bob Koherr is a fantastic actor, he needs his own show.
twotwo4two 12/26/2000
Why does Comedy Central play SNL four times a day but only play one hour of it when SNL is an hour and a half?? That's half an hour that the viewers never get to see! I'd prefer to see the COMPLETE SNL episode once a day, or even once a week, than have to watch four episodes a day that are EDITED and CUT SHORT of a half hour! I have written to Comedy Central many times about this and they have not responded. If anyone who reads this comment is a fan of SNL, I encourage you to write in your complaints to mail@comedycentral.com - I know that there a lot of people who agree with me on this. Thank you.
Weasel 12/16/2000
Especially good for showing reruns of classic comedy shows like Saturday Night Live and Who's Line Is It Anyway, and also great original shows like South Park.
apex 11/24/2000
They are a breakthrough channel that is not afraid to air shows that other, more conservative channels are afraid to show. Also they have very original programming and I like the fact that they show modern classic movies.
oreo 11/22/2000
I enjoy watching Comedy Central mainly because of South Park and Saturday Night Live. The other shows do not grab my viewing time. I would like to watch more off beat, scandalous shows on Comedy Central.
Brittany 11/22/2000
I love Comedy Central because when I'm flipping through the channels and there's nothing on, I put it on Comedy Central and there's always something entertaining on. One of my favorite shows on this network is South Park.
maddogs 11/17/2000
Comedy Central is always funny. South Park is the greatest, and also Whose Line is it Anyways? This station always makes you laugh. Every now and then shows suck.
kyes 11/10/2000
yes, south park is what saved comedy central. strangers with candy apparently was doing well but then so was dr.katz which i personally liked. so they suck for taking cancelling those. other than south park i only stop on CC to watch reruns of SNL and Kids in the Hall
dyana 10/12/2000
This network is going down the tubes. Aging shows, and the one shining star that showed promise (Strangers With Candy) they up and cancelled. Comedy Central is godawful and is providing no laughs anymore. Put it out of it's misery.
HalJor 01/22/2000
Mix of great (South Park) and awful (Man Show) programming. Some of the best talent can be found here "first" (Politically Incorrect, Craig Kilborn, Whose Line Is It Anyway?).
danc2947om 12/15/1999
I think they're saved by "South Park." If there's no "South Park," I would have given them a bad rating.
edep1377du 11/20/1999
I love Comedy Central because at any time I turn it on there's always something funny on. I wished they'd play more SNL.
m.to1036du 11/09/1999
I love to laugh, that is why Comedy Central is my favorite channel.
BLA127OM 10/26/1999
Comedy Central offers great programming and orginal shows. The Man Show rules!
DIGI38OM 10/26/1999
Best channel out there.
