ESPN Is My Favorite Channel epecially on the Weekends when theres nothing all good on tv.

If ESPN is the world leader in broadcasting sports, how come most of them are only the well known sports that mostly appear on TV nowadays? They need more varity in sports coverage other than the rarely seen bowling, pool, and sumo wrestling. Most of their programs are not even sports, but talk shows about it.

If I could only have one channel this would be the one!

It is possibly the greatest channel of all sports, all the time. Sportscenter is such a great show. The staff is so comical, adding to the appeal. Stuart Scott, Chris Berman, Dan Patrick, Kenny Mayne, all with their famous catch phrases. It also has some good coverage of pool, bowling, spelling bees, etc. It carries a bit too much crap like: fishing, racing, hunting, etc., but still is a 5 in my book.

There are certain times when only Sports Center will do. When you are coming home late at night after a couple of beers and you want to wind down a bit. When you have a few minutes before heading out somewhere. When you are grabbing lunch at home. Right after your team has won, lost, or tied in that big game. Fortunately, it seems that Dan Patrick and the boys are always there when you need them. Throw in college hoops, baseball, an excellent pre NFL show, and the occasional big hockey game and you have a quality network.

Would be a 5 if they showed nothing but SportsCenter. It's that good.

Lots of great sports action including great National coverage of Major League Baseball and the Stanley Cup Finals. My greatest ESPN momemts were the NY Rangers long awaited Stanley Cup championship in 1994, and Cal Ripken Jr's 2,131 consecutive game in September 1995 surpassing Lou Gherig as Baseball's all-time iron man.

I watch ESPN for bowling and pool, that's it. I once in a blue moon turn it on, because it's always about soccer or baseball or something like that, and not other stuff like bowling or pool. Thank god it's free, cause otheriwise I wouldn't pay for it.

If I could make a TV station that everybody could see it would most definitely be ESPN. I don't miss a thing from hockey to football. This station keeps me up to the point and on top of things. This would be the main channel I would watch if I was a compulsive gambler.

The definitive sports network. Shows a great mix of baseball, football, hockey and basketball, both college and pro, as well as focusing attention on alternative sports like NASCAR, X-Games and others.

The best channel on TV. I can't live without Sportscenter. It is the real news. Comedy is my favorite show on TV. All of ESPN is hot, except for whent they show golf and dog shows.

Without a satellite or digital cable you can't get sports games or your favorite team unless they play your home team. Without ESPN, how would you know how your team did that same day and watch stats and highlights on your fave football, hockey, basketball, etc.

ESPN has always been cool, because every time I miss something I always can turn to ESPN and look at what I missed. That is cool, so you go boy!

I love ESPN. They have the best sports coverage on TV. I also like the shows they have, such as SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight. They have the best newscasters on TV.

ESPN does a truly excellent job of keeping us up to date with everything in national sports. While its world coverage lacks due to demand, the programming on this station makes up for it.

ESPN is the best channel ever. Every day of the year they always have Sportscenter. And every day of the year Sportscenter is a great show. They have great coverage of games, whether they be, hockey, basketball, baseball, football, or anything else. All of their sports games are great, this afternoon, Wake Forest and NC State, in a classic showdown. Rivals bring people to watch games. The Packers and Bears is a great example. Sunday Night Football has great announcers and they cover the game well. If I had to watch one channel the rest of my life, I'd pick ESPN.

Well, without ESPN I wouldn't have a reason to even watch television. ESPN is a four because it provides sport fanatics with the information they to have before they go to the next day. Plus, ESPN is a very intellectual show. It's not just sports, it's comedy. I mean, you could be sad because your team lost, but turn the channel to ESPN and they crack a joke about a professional player and it could literally leave you crying.
boywonder 11/17/2000
Strictly for the enthusiasts. It shows all the sporting events with up to the minute coverage. A man's dream channel. Every sports fanatic should watch on a daily basis. 24 hours of sports and it repeats what you might have missed. 24 hour sports- WOW.
Ckong 11/16/2000
My favorite sports channel is ESPN because personally I'm an NBA fan. So, any channel that provides a lot of basketball stuff I'll watch. Overall, there is no channel I'll tune into more than ESPN because of it's basketball coverage.

ESPN is the only network that makes the best attempt to keep their viewer informed with the truth as well as entertained.

ESPN all day... Sportscenter is where it's at.
