Good animated adult shows and sports. What keeps it from being a 5-star is all those schlocky reality shows and that they cancel good shows too fast.

Fox News and the Simpsons are the only good things on this network. All of their latest shows have been pure garbage.
mst3k4evr 05/14/2003
I added this network to my "hit list" today when I found out that "King of the Hill" is going to be back on Sundays at 7:30 eastern time in the fall. This is a TERRIBLE time slot, especially during the football season, when it's very rare for a game and all the chatter to end before this time. And if football ends at 7:32 and KOTH starts, it ends up being "already in progress". It's only a measly TWO minutes. Why can't everything air two later than normal? And what ticks me off is that if football ended at 8:02, "The Simpsons" would start in its entirity(sp?). Why should one show get the full 30 minutes while another one gets the shaft? I am now convinced that FOX wants to kill this show and will not be surprised if they don't renew it in 2004.

I've done my fair share of Fox bashing, mainly directed at their attempt to deliver (god, it makes me laugh just thinking about it) fair and balanced news. That being said, I watch Fox a lot. As someone with a morbid curiosity into American pop culture what more could you ask for? I think their reality shows say a lot for where we are going as a nation socially. Don't have a life of your own? See someone else's life unfold with often hilarious and embarassing results on Fox. They are really going all out with the reality bit and even I was pretty put off by Monica Lewinsky hosting Mr. Personality. She had her 15 minutes! Put her back in the closet of shame where she belongs! Fox will always have my support with the Simpons too, even if it's not very funny anymore. The Married by America thing was like a 500 car train wreck with massive casualties. I felt very violated after watching the series finale and vowed to stop watching so much trash.
drbanner 03/27/2003
There are some good shows like - American Idol, 24, Cops, and of course NFL football. But, the rest is pretty bad.
ChunkyLover53 02/24/2003
The reason I am giving FOX a one star rating is because of the cancellation of Andy Richter Controls the Universe. I don't know why the numbskulls at FOX dumped this wonderful, funny, witty sitcom while leaving on crap like King of the Hill, Joe Millionaire, That 70's show, and all those other stupid reality shows. The Simpsons and America's Most Wanted are the only good things about FOX right now.
Jason1972 01/23/2003
FOX has really come a long way since 1987. They showed a lot of throw-away, shoe in, sitcoms in their first few years but other than that, I've never seen a broadcast conglomerate so loyal to one show as they are to "The Simpsons", and I applaud them for it. And to hear that they're extending it til 2007, that is incredible. It's a funny show and I'm glad they never turn their back on shows that the people like. True, "Married With Children" wasn't a darling with critcs, but the people liked it and FOX kept the show for 11 seasons. That tells you FOX listens to its fans unlike other channels.
NoraG1 01/18/2003
Fox has some of the most stupid worthless shows ever put on television, with the exception of 24, one of the best shows.
Mario500 01/09/2003
As many of us know, Fox has been cancelling many great shows without giving them a fair chance for some years now. Most of the shows aired on Friday nights which is considered a death trap for most tv shows. They even try keeping shows that they know have gone downhill a long time ago, such as the once great Simpsons. Fox needs to shape up their programming decisions or they'll never catch up with the other networks.
Burntisland 12/30/2002
I have only two complaints about FOX. (1) Shepherd Smith should be in jail for assaulting the female reporter in Tallahassee during the Election debacle. (He claimed she took his parking spot). (2) Linda Vester's bottom lip looks like a bureau drawer that someone left open.
Texas22 12/30/2002
Since I only get FOX News, I am going to rate that only. It is by far the most biased, unfair, and comical thing that aired on TV. Awful!! The anchors reveal their total naiveness about world politics and there is no neutral position. Since when was Africa a country! For goodness sake, the average American deserves better quality reporting than this garbage. The news channel, conservative beyond belief, reports news with an opinion that favors their more conservative, yet elite class of cable viewers. This isn't news, this is a circus! Go watch CNN or BBC for quality news reporting
sfalconer 10/18/2002
Fox is kind of hit and miss. There sports coverage is pretty good but the last good show they did was Malcom in the Middle. They still have a ways to go before they can challenge the big 3.
Cosmo Renfro 10/11/2002
Fox is such crap they get three stars for the Simpsons.
whitedevil311 03/20/2002
This station has come a long way and I like the Simpsons.
Solenoid DH 02/25/2002
A good channel for two reasons: (1) they show "Cops," the best reality show I've seen. (2) they include conservative and liberal viewpoints on programs like Hannity & Colmes, instead of just pushing a left-wing agenda disguised as news, the way the other networks do.
pikachan 02/21/2002
This is not the best network, but it does have my favorite shows like "The Simpsons", and "Malcolm in the middle". This network is not all comedy, it also has movies, news, and drama.
steve989 01/13/2002
FOX has the best humor and drama and tv shows with an exception of MAD TV
LoneUSFullHous eFan 12/04/2001
All of their shows are either trashy or just way too far fetched to be true. Fox hasn't done anything decent since the Simpsons.
ellajedlicka21 10/24/2001
I have mixed feelings about Fox. It has good baseball coverage, it has given my all-time favorite show, The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle is incredibly funny, Family Guy is hilarious, King of the Hill is pretty good. Boston Public is a really, really good new show. It also airs a fairly cheasy show "Cops," and a much better crime-related show, America's Most Wanted. I also hate Fox's crap that they view like "Magicians' Secrets Revealed," "Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire," "Temptation Island," etc. So overall, it has some great programming, but also some absolute GARBAGE.
Snoopy 10/09/2001
FOX is great because it airs The Simpsons and its reruns. My only complaint is that my local FOX affiliate keeps showing the same 50 or so episodes over and over again.
pedrogouveia 07/24/2001
FOX has to be everyone's favourite channel!!! Entertainment-wise at least. It has the best sunday lineup unlike any other network. People say that FOX will produce any show for audience, but hey, that's what makes it so good. And I'm grateful for them bringing such great shows like The Simpsons and Married With Children!!!
meathead dingbat lib 07/11/2001
Above average local news coverage with John Roland and Rosetta Scotto. Above average coverage of major league baseball, thanks only to the presence of Tim McCarver in the broadcast booth. Poor coverage of the NHL which has now moved to ABC, and mediocre coverage of the NFL. I was angry in 1993 when FOX stole the NFC from CBS, and has done a much lesser job than CBS in all levels of broadcasting, starting with the four egotists on the pregame show. This networks best programs included the controversial Married With Children, and The long running Simpsons, Beverly Hills 90210, and the reality based mega-show COPS. But the long list of losers include ROC, Women In Prison, The George Carlin Show, Temptation Island, and Gary Shandling's Show
nwando 07/03/2001
They are doing a pretty good job.
callmetootie 04/04/2001
You have to be pretty desperate to like watching Fox programs. They didn't create any notable shows in the past. The Fox News is better then the CBS news though.
Seventh Heaven Lover 03/14/2001
SEVENTH HEAVEN IS GREAT BUT FOX NEWS SUCKS
tgalusha 03/13/2001
ALOT of BAD decisions!
BrewManChu 02/27/2001
Unimaginitive programming rules! Silly cop chase shows bore me to tears...
yitta2626 02/15/2001
The simpsons are the greatest.
pjbill 12/22/2000
I watch nothing but news and sports on Fox. The promos I see for the other programs are not fit for decent living rooms. My impression from the promos I see is that the show is either indecent, disrespectful, vulgar, immoral, unfit for children or all of the above.
Tooglabooglas 12/19/2000
When it comes to reporting the news, nobody does it like FOX. Move over CNN! Say goodnight Dan Rather! FOX is making an impact and it's obvious they have touched a nerve in the US.
jasonjt 12/17/2000
Fox has been around for a long time now, but is still considered new in the TV era. With great new shows like Malcolm in the Middle, Futurama, and sports, and of course the Simpsons, Fox is here to stay. Fox has it all,- movie premieres, cartoons, sitcoms, sports. It appeals to me because the content is new and funny. It's original and appeals to every age group.
bigboy 12/16/2000
Fox is the one channel you watch when your cable has gone out because it always comes through. No matter what time you turn it on there is something to watch. I really enjoy this channel. It's the one for me.
dtwin 12/16/2000
Good channel for all year. Something for everyone at the right times. Sunday night has enjoyable programming with sports on the weekends, children's shows between and after school and on Saturday mornings.
jriker 12/14/2000
Fox's TV shows have risen to the top. The Simpson's, Family Guy, Married With Children, and many more funny shows will leave you completely happy for hours. The shows keep improving.
kl724 12/14/2000
Great TV series, like the X-Files, are one of Fox's masterpieces. The topic of aliens is very controversial. The entertainment programs are interesting, not like other boring TV channels. Fox News is clear and they report the latest events happening here or around the country.
bassplayrr 12/13/2000
I gave Fox a 5 because of their original programming. They have never been afraid to try something new like the Simpsons or Married with Children. Fox is also less biased in their targeted audience, they have a wide variety of shows that include all types of people.
dancingdr 12/12/2000
I really like this channel cause it has some of the best shows on it, like X-Files. I also like it cause they have the news on its channel, but they don't play it 24/7.
Jami10489om 11/26/2000
Still cutting edge television. They will take chances on programs the other three major networks won't. The Simpsons is still funny, and they had such cutting edge shows in their past as Married With Childen and In Loving Color. The newtowrk has other great shows running right now. The solid That 70's Show, followed by the funniest show on TV, Titus, and check out the great new show Boston Public.
trigger 11/24/2000
Fox offers a variety of shows which are rated as the top 10 in the country. They also bring new ones every season. One of the top 10 is Ally McBeal, and new is Boston Public.
G30FFG 09/28/2000
The shows on FOX are better than the shows on most other major networks. "The Simpsons" brings lots of laughter to Sundays, "Malcolm in the Middle" is a promising new hit, and "The X-Files" really keeps you wanting more. The Sunday lineup is second to none! The rest of the week is not too bad, either.
blek8264et 07/08/2000
"Fox News is awful!" Oh, I see. You like bias and propoganda sprinkled in with your news. Sorry.
Aqua3715om 01/21/2000
The shows on this channel are awesome! Great plots, tons of twists, etc. However, I ask you one thing. Would you make up your mind already!? Some great shows were canceled. Namely, Harsh Realm and Brimstone (the best idea the station ever came up with). Don't air them if you're gonna take them off. You leave a lot of people angry and disappointed.
Sara2704ov 12/10/1999
I watch more news and shows on FOX than on any other network. And not just the X-Files, of which I'm a fan.
Naughty Pixie 11/28/1999
Fox is one of my two favorite stations! The other one is WB. Mulder and Scully rocks! ;-)
jani1786et 11/27/1999
Some series are very good. Fox News is awful! Morning show is lame.
vege1420om 11/21/1999
Fox has the best programs on Sunday nights and some really good ones during the weekdays.
ADEL20OM 10/26/1999
Fox has always been my favorite station. With shows like The Simpsons, which happens to be my favorite show, and diversity in programming with shows like the X-Files and new sports, other stations can't compete... that's why a lot of them try to imitate.
DBRU298DU 10/26/1999
Fox has X-files & Martin reruns. The Simpsons rule too!!
