In the cartoons, this was the next and last step to save the Batman franchise - Batman Beyond. It would soon realize that this new twist, a Batman in the future would not garner as much support as the once relateable Bruce Wayne. Though its reputation is somehow supported by the cameos the Batman Beyond character has done in Justice League (to give him credibility). This is a weak show on its own, like static Shock, or even Teen Titans.

Batman is always cool, but the animated Batman of the 1990's still reigns supreme.

I love this show Terry is such a cool person to be Batman and I think his friend Max who helps out sometimes who would make a Robin. The only gripe I have about this show is how come Barbara Gordon didn't marry Nightwing and speaking of Nightwing where was he during this whole series? I just saw the episode of Justace League Epilogue and it was great but it seems that Terry didn't need to be Bruce's son but I guess that it helps give a good ending to Terry's story. I still would have liked to see Bruce get married and not end up living alone and I was always wishing that Nightwing would come to visit his foster dad or atleast give us a little hint as to what happens to him. But apart from those little things this show rocks! In the end I love it and all but it doesn't compare to Batman:TAS. I do kind of feel sad that it ruins the thought of Bruce and Selina being married and having a child.

This is a great show! I'd sometimes wonder who would take up the mantle of batman when he got to old or died from old age. Whomever came up with the idea of what would happen to batman when he got old (and other heroes and villians) gave us a lot to think about.

Good spin on an old show, but like most shows it kind of got off track towards the end.

The show is okay but the move Batman Beyond: The return of the Joker rules!
Darkness302 10/30/2004
Mediocre. There's enough Batman in the world already.

Anyone who doesn't like this show obviously doesn't know a thing about Batman. Excellent show, should bring it back

What happened to the classic Batman? Even jumping tomatos can fight better than batman!

The majority of cartoons that are like the sequel to another really good show just do not work. There are a few good episodes but I find it very unoriginal.

He looks kinda like batman . . . but he just *ISN'T* Batman

A rip off, a bad copy, a poor sad effort to take a good thing and make it bettle, only to fail and make a bad idea a bad show.

Other then it's strong debut a while back, Batman Beyond tries much too hard to be like the original 1991 cartoon series. Terrible animation.

I got to admit, when I first heard about this show, I thought it would be something that would destroy the image of Batman (kinda like when those 2099 comics of Spider-Man, Doom, X-men, and I belive Hulk came out a while ago and almost tarnished the original marvel characters' good names). WHEW! When it finally came on, it turned out better than I expected. I knew it would be the classic Batman and Superman animation style. What mstly surprised me though was tht the were able to come up with a good story line, and good plots for each episode. Nicely done.
