Lame rip-off of several much better movies on the same sort of subject.

Quit possibly the most bran dead and poorly acted "horror film" I have ever seen. All talent is waisted and is anyone else sick of crap CGI effects?

Underrated chiller has a very strong cast, but is at times ruined by a at-times goofy plot. Basinger does a good job.

One of the worst movies I've seen this year. Pathetic. Weak story, weak script, dull characters even though Rufus Sewell is pretty convincing: he was so hateful I wanted to strangle him. Anyway, the SFX are ridiculous, I laughed out loud. It isn't scary at all....sometimes the little girl was quite cool, but it's not enough.

AWESOME MOVIE! REAL SCARY!!

A pretty good movie. Kim Basinger is a woman who takes in a baby left by her drugged out sister, The little girl turns out to have special powers . At first she seem autistic,showing autistic like symtoms such as rocking and seeming unfocused. It turns out the child was born on a special day nine days before Christmas.She is sort of a chosen child who has a special link with God.At age six an evil man who is a satan worshipper kidnaps the child and tries to turn her to satan.Now the aunt has to get the child back and save her. The little girl has some sort of healing power {she brought a bird back to life} and the evil guy knows about this girl and knows about her powers.It has some special effects that are okay,showing the evil bat like ghosts. and the good angels. This is not great movie but has some good scenes and the actors are good.

I thought it was good (like that one part on the top of the building) but there were some parts that were sort of boring.

Normally, I tend to get prolific when I rate movies, but this there is not much to say about. It ranks with "I dreamed of Africa" and everything else Basinger has done besides "Batman" and "LA Confidential" as absolute garbage. The plot is ludicris, the acting was so coarse and seemingly unrehearsed, and the effects were terrible. Had the director removed the effects and given it a tone more like a Polanski film, it might have been slightly revived. I wish I could given this film no stars.

GOOD PIC WITH INTERESTING PLOT...NOT AS MUCH ACTION AS EXPECTED BUT IT MOVES ALONG. BASSINGER WAS GOOD.

I liked the concept of a child being saved from the occult. However, more intelligence needed with the leaders of the satanic group. Scary stuff, but it's good God is in control.

The movie was real cheesy. The scene with the angels was overdone, and a lot of elements in the plot don't fit. They just bring stuff out of nowhere.

It was an okay movie. The effects were pretty good but the plot was very under-developed.

Bless the Child is a wannabe Exorcist and might have been scary if I'd never seen the Exorcist.

The idea of the story is great. It lacks a good story to accompany the good "religous" idea.

I was really disappointed that it wasn't a scary thriller movie that has you jumping every second. Very good plot and storyline. Mystical, supernatural, kinda' similiar to the 6th Sense.

I can give this movie high ratings because it had a good plot and I liked the whole movie but I thought it was going to be scary. It wasn't. But this is a must see. Very good acting done by Kim Basinger and the little girl.

The movie had a great premise and incredible special effects but I felt the director relied too heavily on effects and not on camera angles or frames.

Good Movie that will make you think!
